My name is Cheryl, my DH & I have a son Aidan who will be 3 in August, and we are VERY Optimistic for a BFP this month!! :) I am C3, CD 13, I had a + OPK on Friday with lots of CM (is this TMI?? Just tell me!!) and we BD Friday night. BUT- my temps have not yet gone up, as of this morning.... http://www.onceuponalife.com/forums/images/icons/icon9.gif
AND I am dying to know what someone else thinks!!
Does is sound like we got it right??? I just want to go to bed now so I can wake up and see if my temp went up!! http://www.onceuponalife.com/forums/images/icons/icon12.gif
I'd love to hear what anyone thinks --and just meet you all!

Tab
June 4th, 2006, 07:29 PM
:welcome: Cheryl , nope not to much info here  . I do need to ask though what does C3 mean and I will put you into our stats as CD13 right? I don't use OPK's so I can't help ya there. I've never tried them. Do you chart anywhere? If so and you would like me to add it in to the daily stats let me know.

Thinking Positive thoughts for you this month :crossfing Good luck!!!! ;)

lizziebeth
June 4th, 2006, 07:37 PM
Hi Cheryl, it's quite possible that your temps haven't gone up yet. If you got your first positive opk on friday then you should have ovulated 12-36 hours after that. And your temps usually go up the day after ovulation. so i would expect a temp rise tomorrow or tuesday. i think you got it right bding on friday but would do again asap just to be sure! there is no such thing as tmi in this thread!!

CherylQC
June 4th, 2006, 07:55 PM
Thanks lizziebeth!! That was just the kind of positive thoughts I was hoping for!! :)
Tabitha- C3 means I am on my third cycle (month) of trying, and yes, I'd love you to add me in your stats! Thanks! This is my first time using an OPK- it was fun just to have Something I peed on come up positive!! ;)
I chart on Fertility Friend, although I think I mess it up all the time! A link to it is http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc2/index.php?interface=0 but I am not sure that's the right way to get it to you... it looks like the other links just have a number after the word home....

Tab
June 4th, 2006, 08:06 PM
That link just takes me to mine so follow these directions....

all you have to do is click on Sharing under menu
click on home page set up , then there is a link in the Home Page web address highlight, copy, and paste and voila. there ya go!! Let me know if you have any probs??

Tab
June 4th, 2006, 08:14 PM
I would get all excited with a + on something too. but for me I would like it to be a PG test.

Hopefully your temps will shoot up tomorrow :awink: and this will be your lucky cycle.

Tabitha- 2 years- that is a long wait! :(
Did your first 2 happen more quickly?
How did you like having your kids 3 years apart? Was that a good range? Mine (if another happens!) will be 3 1/2 apart.

Thanks that worked

I know it is :(
It only took a month to conceive my son , my daughter took 4 months. This just seems like freaking F.O.R.E.V.E.R. for the 3rd :(

I liked having my kids 3 years apart, it was just easier that way and that it just worked out that way too :) now when I go to have this one if EVER there will be a big huge gap in between them 8 and 11 years :mope: if I figured it up right. My daughter will be 8 in July and my son will be 11 in October :blue:

Good morning! Well, my temps are still low this morning- :(. I reallythought they'd be up today with a positive OPK on Friday...I guess if they go up tomorrow we still have a chance from the BD on Friday, right? And after it does I still have the long 2 ww!! ;)
There's a lot of waiting to this process....

lizziebeth
June 5th, 2006, 09:53 AM
Hi Cheryl - no probs - happy to analyse!

What time did you take your temp on CD11? It says that you took it at a different time to normal.

I'm just wondering if your chart is a little bit thrown by your missing temps and the different times on CD11 & CD9. I wouldn't give up hope yet. It could be that you O'd and are now having a slow rise.

Oh yes, the 2ww is a killer, that's for certain.

CherylQC
June 5th, 2006, 10:36 AM
Thanks for analyzing! I took it at 9am on CD11, and on CD it was at7:15- not too late, but we were traveling...
I am hoping I did O and it is just taking it's time rising... ;)
One of my best friends is from London, by the way! :)

ok and what time do you normally take your temps?

re: your friend ... cool! where does she live? I guess you have visited here a few times then?

CherylQC
June 5th, 2006, 11:56 AM
Usually around 6:40 am.
She actually moved here when she was 18, and has only been back a few times since! Her whoel family moved here. She is going back this summer with her daughter, who has never been there yet. I am not sure where she was from, or else I can't remember!
I haven't ever been yet either! My DH & I hope to go, mayeb next year.
Where are you?

Hmm, then I'd say the CD11 temp is not that accurate as it's around 3 hours later than normal and is distorting your chart a bit. I hope you have O'd and caught that eggie!

I live in Wimbledon which is south west London, not far from the tennis courts. I'm sure youd have fun on a trip here - lots to see!

Welcome Cheryl!
I'm Kara..30...married with two boys ages 8 and 4 and we are TTC #3..this is our 5th cycle I think. We are on vacation during O though so it is a tad hard to find time, since my mom is with us too LOL..We did manage to BD on CD 12 and 14 and hopefully today too....I usually O around cd16...

Thanks lizziebeth..I hope it wasn't an early O but we'll see! I'm going to do OPKs next month when we are back home.

Thanks Lizzie! :supergrin It's looking a little triphasic, isn't it? :heee: Time will tell..... You're quite right on my resolution to not test until I need to. I've wasted an incredible amount of money on HPT's, and I'm tired of it. I even started going to the dollar store so I could still indulge and not spend so much....and it just got depressing to see the one line so often. So.....I quit! From now on, I'm not testing until AF is either due or late. And only then if my temp is still up!

It's still early but I was thinking triphasic too. I think it's the best thing not to test and well done you for being so patient.

Kara, I hope it wasn't an early O if you didn't BD. The OPKs were great for me and picked up an early ovulation the month I got pg.

I hear ya Shannon. I am doing the same thing from now on too!!! It is depressing to get that BFN  all the time!!! this is it for you !!!!!! Are you feeling anything yet any symptons of AF yet?

Girlo
June 6th, 2006, 04:31 PM
It's hard to say, since all the symptoms are the same for AF and pg - mild, occasional cramps, heartburn, light nausea, bloating, etc.

The one thing I will say is that I'm FAR less bitchy this month (for this week) than I normally would be. The world is just much less irritating. Also....I do check my cervical position sometimes, and it seems to be a bit lower than it would be a couple of days before AF. I know that it moves down pretty low once you're pg (nice and long)....and usually it's WAY up there to where I can't feel no matter how hard I try. Now, it's just kind-of high.....I can still feel it, but I wouldn't call it low. Hopefully that means something. :)

I'm getting excited too!! Thanks.... :hug99: I hope this is it too.....my due date would be Feb. 18th, which would be pretty cool. :) Every time I feel "something" though, I remind myself how many months I was SO sure I was pg (because I had the same feelings/sensations) and I wasn't. I'm trying to be realistic and just wait and see what happens. It's the only sure way to know.

Btw, I had a pg dream last night. :) I was having an u/s and saw that it was a boy (his boy parts were pressed right up against the screen  ). Then the girl said she was having a problem monitoring the blood flow, so I had to go into Seattle for another scan. :errr: Hopefully, that part won't be true eventually!

Okay- SO!!! I am either confused or have a wacky body…

I took a OPK Friday morning, and it showed + (I know it really was + because last month and the day before were negatives.) AND the CM was copious! (copious is a good word).

BUT- my temps didn’t rise for so long, FF says based on my temps my actual O day was the 15th- 4 days after we tried (...I knew I should have tried Saturday but we were just soo tired!)

BUT- the things I am reading says if your CM and OPK say one thing and your BBT another, go with the first ones. Either we nailed it- or we missed it! AGH!! On the plus side- supposedly we’re supposed to stop 4 days before O for a girl, (and if that doesn’t work, then try 3 days, etc….

Here is my FF chart using the OPK and CM results, and on my chart link now are the reuslts using BBT. Which would you guys think is most accurate? I realize it's just a guessing game for the next 10 days - but HELP anyway!!! :) Thanks!

Oh- it won't let me copy a picture into here-- DARN!!!
Well- for the OPK chart it has O day as the 12th, making me 6 DPO today, with a "good" reading under Pregnancy prediction. Of course, I like that answer best!! :) Using BBT, it has the 15th as O, and today 3 DPO. WIth a "low" reading in preggo predictior. :(

Okay.....my temp went down this morning and I'm having some cramps. :( I felt the O this cycle, and it was in the afternoon on Friday 2 weeks ago.....so if AF is going to be here, she'll be here in the next 24 hours (I'm assuming.....). I'll be prepared in any case, and if it goes back up tomorrow.....or something else happens that makes me believe that AF isn't coming.....then I'll test. :) Otherwise, I'll save my $$ and it's onto cycle #11......

Ugh Shannon I hope the witch stays away. It's only a very slight drop on your chart so don't give up hope yet. Annoying that the signs of pg are the same as AF.

Cheryl, did you keep the OPK ... can you post a pic of it? It could be either of those days that you O'd - it's hard to tell. I can only see your BBT chart and based on that it does look like you had an O dip on CD15 - I'm sorry! Try and post your other chart in some way, if you can.

Hey Tabitha! I see you went with 4 DPO- I figure that's the best bet too! :) Although I'd prefer 7 DPO....
Looks like we're close cycle buddies!! I am going to test Father's Day, I think- how about you?
Lizziebeth- I did nto keep the OPK, but the the ist lien was defintely darker than teh second, and before it was always much fainter.. Oh well! We'll know in a week or so I guess! I figure is one way says I am 7 DPO and one says 4 DPO, I will go with 4 but inwardly say I am 5 1/2! ;)
My DS was having lots of sleep issues all week- first full week both Potty trained AND in Big Boy bed- woo hoo!! But it disrupted my sleep alot, although I thought I had at least 3 consecutive hours before testing...
I am waiting to see Shannon's temps for today now!! :) I have my fingers crossed...

I thin k I am going to hold out because I know the old bat will show up!! I tested the last time FF told me to test and the old bat showed up later that day. If for some miraculous miracle happens and my temps are still high I will test on Fathers day too maybe but FF has me down to test on Monday instead.

I soooooooooooooo hate my 10 day waiting period  I normally hardly ever go to 11 let alone 14.

Shannon, oh bollocks for the temp dive. Was it a lot earlier than normal? Are you still going to test today?

Hi Megan! Good luck with the Clomid

Hey Andrea!! :wavey: It's good to see you back here. :hug99: Hope you get a miracle surprise this year. :)

As for my temp this morning, I took it 2.5 hours early....but I'd been asleep for about 6 hours when I took it and I went to bed early, so I didn't think much of it. I suppose it could skew things though.....

No sign of AF, and I KNOW I O'd 2 weeks ago yesterday (late afternoon/early evening) because I felt it this time. I'm praying that my temp was just a fluke and doesn't mean anything.....but I'm prepared for the worst.

I do have some things that are different right now than at my usual AF-expectation day:
- I'm not bitchy at all! :heee: Usually, you look at me sideways right now, and I want to snap your head off like a little twig. Instead, I feel pretty happy and peaceful right now.....ahhhh. :)
- Normally I'm craving chocolate....not now! I went and looked at the candy section on my break at work (I work in an in-store bank branch) and nothing looked good! Very unusual for me right now....
- My back hurts more than usual
- I'm way more tired than usual....last night I wanted to go to bed at 8pm. I held off because it's too early for Alex. I fell asleep just after 10pm - about 2 hours earlier than usual.
- I'm not getting the normal wrenching cramps that go along with AF coming....I do have some discomfort, but it's....different.
- I'm absolutely starving!! All the time!! I eat breakfast in the morning and by the time I get to work, I'm famished again.

Of course, all of these things could mean something completely different or nothing at all. :awink: The proof will either be in my pants or on a little stick by Monday morning.

I didn't take it because I figured it would be too skewed to count. I'm 15dpo today, so I'm close enough to find out one way or the other very soon. :)

I'm having some cramps, but they're very high up. :dunno: As in just below my belly button, instead of just above my pubic bone. My cervix is also high up and closed. When I'm starting AF, it's normally very low and wide open.

I talked to a friend this morning who said that she got 2 BFN's with her 2nd, way after AF was late and she was absolutely sure she was pg. I guess it ain't over until AF shows her ugly face. :bat:

Have you read about Deorah (Deborah) on CL in the cycle buddies?

It took her to be 6 weeks and a blood test to show she was PG, yeah no crap so you never know. She kept taking HPT's but it wasn't showing up at all until she was 6 weeks and had that blood test done to confirm she was PG. Don't give up hope yet :hug99:

Thank you Cheryl!! I did buy a 2 pack of EPT just in case today after work. I just don't wanna test yet though :shuffle: . My DH swears up and down he has this strong feeling I am PG , he had thissame feeling when I was with our DS before I even knew it so I tested and he was right. I'm from Shippensburg, Cheryl :) where are you at in PA?

CherylQC

Tabitha- I am in Perkasie, near Doylestown. I guess we are what- about 1-2 hours apart?
My DH "knew" when we were preggo last time too! How funny!
What day will you wait to test? I did cave in and test today- but it was not FMU so I am hoping the BFN doesn't count!
I am still weirdly crampy- I keep expecting AF any minute even though it's too early.
I want to go to bed so I can temp and maybe even test tomorrow! :)

Tab

What does FMU mean?

I don't know.......................maybe Fathers day?????????? not sure yet.......... although I did say I was going to wait until I was a week late. I guess it depends on my temps really. I never go passed 12DPO so I guess we will see on Sunday where I stand. Tonight for a little bit my stomach was getting in knots :shuffle: then it finally went away. Off and on since a day before O I kept getting this tightening feeling in my lower ab and a couple days ago I had that again , not sure what to think of that. I said something to the other girls on CL but no one had any clue what that might of ment. So I'm clueless on that too.

I think this cycle will be over for me here in a day or 2. I always chart at night before I go to bed close to AF just to see if my temp drops and when it does I know she is on her way and granite I'm not going to bed just yet but in the next hour or 2 I will and my temp has already dropped to 98.34 which means it's on the low side in the evenings (it gets like this close to AF) so I know she will be on her way now. Glad I didn't listen to my sister who kept on insisting I test already and waste any tests yet

Tab......just looking at your chart this morning. :heee: This is the first time that I've seen that you've hit 12dpo without diving below your coverline.....and you didn't record any more AF activity. Does this mean that you're still in the game? :crossfing

I only spotted yesterday for about 2 hours off and on then nothen more until I got to work this morning then I started spotting again. Then today I worked out after work and it's a tad more then a spot but I am just going to stick spotting down until later today to see if it will become full. I do think I am out of the game this month though :(

Goo luck to the rest of you though :crossfing

Congrats Naomi :) !!!!!!!

I am so glad to be home. I am in the waiting game now. With vacation I didn't bother taking temps this month. So we just took the clomid and crossed our fingers that we are gonna ovulate. I did clomid when we were trying to have our little girl and it never made me ovulate even going up to 200mg. So this month I took 100mg so I am praying that it is enough this time.

Tabitha- I see a new chart started! :(
But that's okay- March babies are very nice! :) My DH is one!
SO today is 14 DPO, no AF, and STILL BFN!!!
I am increasing First Responses stock all on my own- I don't think I can justfy any more tests!! ;) But today there was a veeeeery faint line, within 2 minutes- do you think that's hope? I keep thinking its an evaporation line- but I am pretty sure that didn't happen last month....I don't know!!!
I still feel vaguely crmpy, but no "sign" of preggo- now I just want an answer either way! :)
DId you go to Shippensburg U? I went to Kutztown! :)

Jackie- I love your FF site- I especially like that you tried "relaxing" in your list of preconception practices!!! ;)
I hope your dr's appointment today goes well!!

Shannon- I saw yor temp today was an open circle- what time did you take it?

Kara
June 20th, 2006, 09:44 AM
Cheryl - You said BFN, but then got a line?? or was it neg yesterday and positive today???? I say, no AF, and two lines = POSITIVE!!!!!!

CONGRATS!!!!

I still have not fully started...More spotting today..I hope I'm not miscarrying or anything. Just getting a little screwed up with my cycles I guess.

lizziebeth
June 20th, 2006, 09:53 AM
Cheryl, I say if there is a very faint second line then that's definitely looking good! Evaps don't usually show up until after 10 mins.

Wow- you guys are making me feel really Hopeful!!! :) There was a faint line right away today, yesterday the faint line appeared after the 10 minutes. If I compare yesterday's & today's the line today is twice as dark. I think I may really be preggo!!! :0!!!
I called my midwife- I am waiting for thme to call back....

Cheryl - I haven't updated my chart yet. The one you're looking at is last cycle's....and today is CD10. I'll put in my temps within the next week....I'm just being lazy.

Secondly.....wow!! This is pretty exciting!! I hope you get your darker line soon....your chart definitely looks triphasic to me. :) If you get a definite BFP, you'll have to get a membership so you can start a journal so we can all keep up with you! :jump:

I haven't updated my chart but I believe AF showed up today..so I guess CD1 for me...not really sure yet so if you wanna wait until I am more sure that is fine..

We may actively start trying again next cycle..my insurance kicks in July 1st and by the time I would deliver my 12 months would be up..so I can get FMLA for maternity...

I'm  this is it for you Cheryl!!! :crossfing sounds VERY promising!!!

I grew up in Bloserville which would be Newville, PA but I live in Ship!! I never went to college :shuffle:

Kara- why don't you test to see if you are PG!!!! If you would be and did miscarry ( I HOPE NOT) but it would still be in your system if you are/were PG.

Melissa - I will keep you as is until you tell me for sure

I do have a question though........ Is it normal to not go below cover line? My cover line was 97.26 and I only went down to 97.47 yesterday and then today I went up to 97.72. I was just curious because my period hasn't been right but I don't want to waste any tests either. I started a light flow last night then had it today some and now it's almost gone. Probably just a really weird cycle for me.

lizziebeth
June 20th, 2006, 04:55 PM
Tabitha, it can happen that your temp doesn't go down immediately when you get AF.

But equally if you have something like 18 (can't remember the exact number) temps over the coverline, it often means you're pg.

Has it been a v v light flow? I would probably test ... but hey, I tested at 7dpo so you probably shouldn't listen to me!!

Girlo
June 20th, 2006, 05:04 PM
Hmmm Tab.....maybe you do what Lynn does and have a VERY light flow for a day or two and then your temps shoot right back up and you're really pg!!! Give it a few more days and see what happens. :hug99:

Wow Tabitha- if the temps went back up that sounds good!! :)
And Kara & Tab- I spotted to the point where I thought I had my period when I was preggo with my son. Only a few days, but enough that I didn't think I had gotten pg!

S0--I got a blood test tonight!! :) My midwife is great, they said just come on in! SO I will know "positively" tomorrow afternoon! ;)
My husband is a little freaked out- he didn't think it would happen quite so quickly (again!) and he was enjoying trying!! :)
A really neat thing- I told my son we were going to the dr to see if I could make him a baby brother or sister and he said- Oh, it's already started!!! I said, really? He siad yes, it's in the belly already.
Yikes!!! :)

I consulted my sources and found this LOL

At 14 DPO, the average HCG level is 48 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-119 mIU/ml.

Seriously, I have no clue what to think of my chart anymore. My period has been really screwy this time. I got a light flow Monday night, got over the light flow on Tuesday and went to spotting, then nothen , then turn around Wednesday night I started a light flow again then it went back to spotting/hardly nothen there yesterday morning when I woke up, then last night I had some red blood flow which I thought might of been YET another light flow but when I got up to let the dog out in the middle of the night there wasn't anything on my pad at all so it was only when I wiped and then it was gone again. My temps have yet to go anywhere near cover line and they went up some this morning again. I already tested on Wednesday morning and it was a BFN , so I'm wondering if I'm one of the type of people who has to wait a week or 2 to actually test to see if it will show up or what?

I'm still extremely tired thru the day and my boobs have been a little touchy, I have a headache still and I'm still bloated. How long does PMS last because on TOS the one girl told me I am still more likely going thru PMS the other day??? If I try to make an appt. with my OB it will take 2 months to get in so I'm not sure if I should try testing again or what or go to my family Dr. and get blood work done???

lizziebeth
June 23rd, 2006, 05:34 AM
I'd test again Tab, to see what happens. I'm not really sure what's going on with your temps - it's a bit strange. What test did you use last time? Some of them aren't that sensitive.

If you get another BFN and your temps still don't go down in the next couple of days then maybe you could think about seeing your doc??

Tab
June 23rd, 2006, 06:01 AM
:bday: Happy Birthday Lizzie!!! :bday:

I used First Response, I thought it was EPT but it's not I checked this morning and was going to test again but I just couldn't bring myself to test though so I just stood there looking at it :shuffle: then decided for sure not too. My temp should go down then right because at TOP this girl said hers doesn't always go down but I find that to be a bit strange though, because all the charts I have checked on FF have all gone down and mine too except this one?

CherylQC
June 23rd, 2006, 07:43 AM
Tabitha- that is so weird!!! Your temps really are still high! If it isn't AF- how many DPO would you be??? TEST AGAIN!!! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZZIE!!! WOO HOO!! Friday is a great day for a BIRTHDAY!! :)

Kara
June 23rd, 2006, 09:36 AM
Tabitha mine has been really screwy too, mainly spotting off and on....nothing is ever there until I wipe.
This morning might finally be a bit more but I am waiting to see. I also tested Neg on Wed. I don't temp though so I can't help ya there!!

Tab
June 23rd, 2006, 03:55 PM
I think today would be 16DPO for me. We have A/C and the fan running in our room so I know it's not warm in our room either so I'm not sure why my temps are the way they are. I am going to test again but I want to wait and see how my temps are going to go first. If they never drop do y'all think that I might have an annovolutory (sp) cycle this month? I thought of that today at work, I've never had one but thought maybe since my temps are still higher that this might happen this month.

lizziebeth
June 23rd, 2006, 04:55 PM
Tabitha, what happens if you put those temps back into your last cycle?

To do this, I think you just remove Menses from CDs 1,2,3 on your current cycle and it should put your temps back to your previous cycle ... if that makes sense!

I don't reckon it will be annovulatory because they are all still above coverline ... but it would be interesting to see.

Tab

Your welcome!!

I have no clue  , on the other site one of the girls told me it could be an AO so heck if I know. She said because of my pre -o temps a few were high but I went below coverline last month and then went up a few here and there.

Tab
June 23rd, 2006, 05:29 PM
That was before I merged it too so she hasn't seen it merged together yet.

Does it look like one screwed up cycle or what?

lizziebeth
June 23rd, 2006, 05:37 PM
I can see what the girl from the other site is saying about the pre-O temps ... but then again, it does look like you had a clear temp shift to me. Also, FF usually puts in the cross-hairs if it's in some sort of doubt about ovulation . And it hasn't done that.

Well I know you don't want to test just yet so we'll see

(How can you do this to me?!?!)

lizziebeth
June 23rd, 2006, 05:38 PM

Thanks Tabitha and Cheryl for the well wishes about my dr. appointment.

At my RE appt on Tuesday, we decided that the best option for us at this point would be to move onto IUIs. He said that right now our chances are only 2% per cycle. He said we can start next cycle if we want, but we're going to wait one out (I'm traveling a lot in July....big trip to China), so we'll start with my August cycle. We'll be doing clomid, injectable, trigger then IUI. We'll try up to 4 IUI's before moving onto IVF if necessary.

Congrats Cheryl and Naomi!!!! :ura1: :ura1:

I woke up this morning and temped and man I just feel so sick to my stomach, I don't know if it's my nerves or what because of my temps. They are up to 98.38 this morning. I wanted to test but forgot to until after I pee'd already. Does it have to be the first morning pee to test?

Are you going to be testing again with FRER? If it's an expensive test then I'd wait til tomorrow morning to get the FMU.

I had about 50 cheapie dollar tests, you see, so it didn't matter that much if I wasted one by peeing on a stick in the middle of the day.

But if you've got an expensive one then I'd wait.

Also it's worth checking out the sensitivity of your particular test. Some are only 50miu so won't pick up a BFP as easily or quickly as others.

Temps still up then, I see!

Tab
June 24th, 2006, 06:11 AM
How do I find out the sensitivity of a test?

Tab
June 24th, 2006, 06:12 AM
This test was only $10 for a 2 pack, so I might go get another pack today *just in case* :)

Tab
June 24th, 2006, 06:12 AM
Yes the test I have is First Response.

lizziebeth
June 24th, 2006, 06:20 AM
The sensitivities are all listed at http://www.peeonastick.com/hpts.html

FRER is listed as being 12.5miu so that is very sensitive to picking up small amounts of HCG.

It is First Response Early Response that you're using, right? Not First Response One Step?

Yes it is First Response Early Response, I just went back and checked again. I was on my Xenical (weight loss diet pill prescrined by my Dr.) at the beginning of the week but decided to go back off of them on Wednesday I wonder if that would have any effects on my test? Someone told me that the water pills I was on would give me a false response so I quit taking them about a month ago.

I did test this morning but not with my FMU and it was still a BFN!! I'm just going to let this month go and see what the heck is up at the end of my cycle.

I don't think Naomi comes here anymore, she miscarried . :blue: I saw it on Crunch Lite Cycle Buddies list over there.

Hi Tabs, did you test this am?

Tab
June 25th, 2006, 09:21 AM
Yeah, I tested yesterday with my last test and still BFN. I'm thinking about waiting a few days and see where my temps are going but I was thinking this morning since they dropped to 97.69 this might mean they will be going back down to normal and then maybe I will have a normal month. If my temps go back up I may head to my family Dr. to get him to do a blood test on me to see if I am PG or not. As soon as I got up though and went to the bathroom to look at my bbt it was 97.69 so I just temped again while in the bathroom ( thats where I check my bbt at so I don't wake Steve up) and it was 97.97. I stuck in the waking temp . I always do this just to compare how fast it goes up after I get up. Normally it doesn't shoot up that bad only a few .2 or whatever but it shot up to that as soon as I took the other one.

Sorry about the BFN. It is weird how your temps have stayed above c/l. Well like you said, you could get it checked out if they go back up again.

I am so nervous with this being my first month back ttc. I have had some cramping, and TMI incoming odd(extra) discharge but it could just be that pre-period thing... So I am trying to be positive even though I remember the last time it took almost 3 years.

Okay....I have a question about the ovulation predictor sticks. A friend of mine gave me a few she had left over from when they were TTC (she's due in Sept). The instructions are gone, so I have NO idea what I'm looking at!

I've done 3 so far - Wed about 2pm, Thur about 11pm, today about 5pm. The lines on the first 2 were fairly similar in intensity. The first test was a bit lighter than the second one (test line compared to control line). Today's test wasn't the same at all....although there were 2 lines and the control line was even a bit faint. :dunno:

What does it all mean? Have I o'd already? Do I need to be patient and test again? I don't get it.... If I had a digi camera, I'd take a pic for you....but I don't. You'll just have to take my word for it! Aren't there always 2 lines on those tests, no matter what time of the month you use them? I have no idea what makes one + and another one -.

It's the Clearblue Easy tests, btw......

Shannon, they are a bit confusing. Totally different to HPTs!

The test line should be as dark or even darker than the control line to count as a positive. If you get one like this, then you should O within the next 12-36 hours.

http://www.peeonastick.com/opk/016.jpg

If the test line is even slightly lighter than the control line, then it's a negative.

http://www.peeonastick.com/opk/019.jpg

What I found as I approached ovulation, say around CD11 or CD12, was the test lines were negative but they were getting darker and therefore closer in colour to the control line.

So even though, they were still negative tests, I knew that ovulation wasn't too many days away. Then on CD13 or CD14 I'd get a positive OPK.

The OPK Odyssey Page at http://www.peeonastick.com/opkodyssey.html is really good for showing pics of negative and positive OPKs. She basically took an OPK every day of one cycle to show you how they get darker as ovulation approaches.

Just one other thing, you should test once a day in the pm, rather than with FMU Start them from around CD10 til ovulation has come and gone. If you skip a day, you might miss the ONE!

Get some cheapies off the internet ... you have longish cycles, don't you? So you could end up using quite a few. I got about 25 for about £10 or $15. I got through them fairly quickly.

Girlo

Thanks Lizzie!! I looked online for something like this....but I just kept finding shopping sites to order the tests....not examples of what they looked like.

That site helped A LOT. None of my tests looked like her positives, so I'm going to go with that I haven't O'd. Plus, my temps confirm that I haven't O'd either....

It *is* kinda fun to POAS and see 2 lines though.... I only have 2 left though, so the fun won't last much longer.
