I was just looking for suggestions on the best cloth diapers to use for newborns. When my son was first born, I had to use disposables on him because the newborn prefolds and newborn Prorap covers were too big on him! His legs were very skinny and his breastmilk poops would leak out the leg holes.

Now that I'm expecting baby#2, I'm doing some research on which cloth diapers, if any, would work on our new baby. I was at katieskisses.com and they said that the Hemp Soaker / Fuzzi Bunz Insert http://stores.hsprofessional.com/katieskisses/Detail.bok?searchpath=a640254fae9079a0f5d&category=Diapers%3A+Accessories&start=1&total=17&no=580 (http://stores.hsprofessional.com/katieskisses/Detail.bok?searchpath=a640254fae9079a0f5d&category=Diapers%3A+Accessories&start=1&total=17&no=580) would work great for a newborn diaper. Have any of you tried this? Also, what would be a good cover to use? I usually use Proraps. I'm thinking that as long as the diaper fits nice and snug, I wouldn't have any problems with poop leaking out the leg holes. Oh and I just remembered something. When Vincent was a newborn, I didn't use Snappi Clips, so maybe using a newborn size prefold would work fine with a Snappi Clip.

Any ideas?

I used the snapis and they worked great. This time Im mostly going with kissaluvs and Little Lambs NB AIO's. I love the LL's AIO's.

I loved my kissaluvs size 0, with newborn proraps. They worked great at holding all that newborn poo. We used them for the first 2 months

I used disposables until his cord fell off, then went right to my small fuzzi bunz with the hemparoo inserts.

Kissaluvs Size 0 are wonderful.

I agree with using one of the hemp inserts as a newborn dipe, but I just can't see using a FB insert. Neither, though, would be recommended with a Snappi.

Honestly, the old-fashioned prefolds and Snappis with a ProRap cover are probably my faves for that first little bit. I prefer to have a few Preemie prefolds as well as Infant ones, but that's just because I hate bulk...and the Preemies are useful in other ways once Baby is into Infants.
