In KY, our grocery had a freezer cabinet in the dog food aisle with stuff like the frosty paws.
I was in a market research study once for yogurt for cats. We all said that it was ridiculous and no way would we buy it (and we were classified as people who spoiled their pets).

My grandma used to put ice in the dog's water during the hot, summer days. I used to think it was silly, but ya know, it gets damn hot down here. I'm sure the dog appreciated it.
That said, I would not buy a dog ice cream treats.

I have to admit I have purchased Frosty Paws for my pups. But only once! It was in the regular "frozen novelties" section near my beloved Skinny Cows, and I had to try it. They loved it, but I feel kind of ridiculous buying them ice cream.

That's okay, Valeria. You're not like Brad's aunt.
She insists that her pugs (she has five) need a specific brand of expensive, french vanilla ice cream every night at 8 pm. She even kept this little practice up while they were all evacuated to MIL's house during Hurricane Katrina.

I can understand the ice in the water but... icecream? A little too much in my opinion.
OT: Valeria... I love your location line :lol2: Sorry, you're there :hug99:

Actually I was thinking about something on the same line when I saw the commercial for that dog food in the individually packed meals with meat, veggies & rice (I think?). It made me wonder if dogs really need the veggies & rice

We've given Greta a scoop of ice cream from our own freezer once in a while as a treat (she LOVES it!!), but I wouldn't buy her her OWN ice cream.

I don't think Frosty Paws is that crazy. The milk in regular ice cream can upset the dog's stomach. Frosty Paws is supposed to be dog-safe.
I think people who have pets instead of children buy stuff like this (or who spoil their pets). My step-mom never had kids and I swear their dog was like a child. It may have been treated better than some children even.
I think we tried Frosty Paws when I was a teenager for our dog but it was a one time treat. I probably wouldn't be so inclined to pamper a pet now that I have kids.
Now the sweater for the robotic dog, that seems a bit too far however barbies and build-a-bears have clothes so I guess it's like that.

Bailey (our lab) has had frosty paws, in fact, there is some in our freezer now. She really likes it. HOwever they make it is safe for dogs, and doesn't upset their stomach. Hey, we have to celebrate her birthday with a treat too!! :lick:

Wow, it's been ages since I owned a dog I had NO idea they had all this stuff for dogs. Our store doesn't carry anything like that yet, we just got in some tshirts and baseball caps the other day.. Oh the poor dog that has to wear them :locolaugh

I would buy the frosty paws for a nice treat for our dogs maybe for their birthdays or something like that but we have allergies here so they just get their own very expensive dog food.
