1. About how diapers many do you have now?

I'll do what I can :) . I didn't start my son out until he was 4-5 months and builded my supply as we went, so the starting off questions kind of threw me off a bit.

1. About how diapers many do you have now?

A lot :lol: . I haven't counted lately as I'm trying to build a newborn/small stash (some of which is on it's way) and organize everything else. For my son (which is my active stash), I have close to 50 prefolds, about 10 fitted, a bunch of contours and a ton of flatfolds, not to mention about 30-40 pull on covers and about 10 wraps (not certain of amounts, just estimates. I get most of them second hand). I also have a pile of doublers and liners plus one AIO I use. I like having a lot as I know I'm having more kids and so I don't run out if I can't wash right away.

2. What are your favorites, which ones didnt quite work out for your baby?

Prefolds and pull on covers are best for us. I had some Kooshies AIO that sucked (which may be what turned me off AIO's, although I have a Biobottoms AIO that I like)

3. How many AIO's did you start out with?

None. I don't use them.

4. How many prefolds did you start out with?

I just kept building as I went and could afford it (in hind sight, I would of bit the bullet and just got them all at once). I would suggest 3 dozen for starting, especially with a smaller baby who needs to be changed a lot.

5. How many inserts did you start out with?

Didn't start out with any.

6. How many diaper covers did you start out with?

I use nylon pull on covers so we used one for every change and I built this as I went. I can't remember how many I had.

7. How do you go about using CD's on the road (like going to the mall etc)

Just like a disposable diaper except you put the dirty one in a bag to bring home :)

8. How often do you have to change CD's verses Disposies?

I found I changed them about the same, sometimes more. So every 2-3 hours when he was an infant and maybe every 3-4 hours now, although he can now usually wake up with a dry diaper. Of course I find disposables stink so I may change more than someone who's used to them (I can't stand the smell of kids in them when their parents let them sit and sit in them. Phew!!! Even when I used sposies, I changed a lot more than other ppl I know)

9. What did/do you do with the ones that didnt quite work out?

I hang onto them in case they work for the next, but honestly, I try to make everything work :nod: . Of course I like to hang onto everything :lol:

I'd say we have close to 40 diapers of different shapes and sizes

My favorites are Fuzzi Bunz, simply for the ease of use (very DH and granny friendly) the only ones that haven't worked out for use have been a few AIO's and a few fitted (too short in the rise)

4, and I hated them...they leaked constantly!

I didn't start with prefolds, but now I have about 15

5. How many inserts did you start out with?
I have about 25 inserts

I only have 3 covers (1 prorap, 1 stacinator, and 1 sugar peas wool)

7. How do you go about using CD's on the road (like going to the mall etc)
Just like Carla said. We have a wet bag that we keep in the diaper bag.

I change Riley lots more than most people I know change disposies...but, I did that even when he wore disposies. I'd say that you have to change them a little more often

Ebay, diaper swaps, private selling to people on the boards.

1. About how diapers many do you have now? Currently using 12 diapers, have one special printed on the way in March... have 13 that are a smaller size that I hope to sell.

2. What are your favorites, which ones didnt quite work out for your baby? We have only tried Fuzzi Bunz pocket diapers and those have been working REALLY well for us.

4. How many prefolds did you start out with? Any prefolds I have end up as burp cloths. :lol: Technically for diapering... zero.

5. How many inserts did you start out with? I started out with one insert per pocket diaper then four extras. I triple insert for nighttime diapers. I have one heavy wetter! :lol: We use Babykicks Hemparoo Joey Bunz. They work great! I've heard good things about the Mother of Eden inserts that are the companions to Fuzzi BUnz, but I haven't used them.

6. How many diaper covers did you start out with?
Our diapers are pocket diapers, but they use inserts. I had one that I tried out for several days, then I bought 12.

7. How do you go about using CD's on the road (like going to the mall etc) Same as I would use disposibles. I have a wet bag for dirties. The lady who has watched Aiden LOVES his diapers. She said that she wished she had them when her girls were younger... she believes that it would have been nice to never run out of diapers and have to run to the store. :lol:

8. How often do you have to change CD's verses Disposies? Well, unless he does a stinky, it's pretty much the same when he was in disposies (he was in disposies for the first 2-3 months). Never have a problem with wetness or anything.

9. What did/do you do with the ones that didnt quite work out? Fortunately, Fuzzi Bunz have worked out for us.... although I am trying to currently sell my mediums at UB!

1. About how diapers many do you have now? My daughter is 131/2 months now and here is what we use: 13 Little Lambs quick dry all-in-one, 7 doodle bottoms pockets (6 PUL and 1 fleece), 4 fancypants pockets (one PUL and 3 fleece, plus one PUL that wicks so we rarely use it), 2 diaperbabies fleece-in-ones, and 4 happy heineys that I HATE (but DH likes)

2. What are your favorites, which ones didnt quite work out for your baby? Pocket diapers are my favorite. I really liked the fuzzi bunz, but they didn't come in any nice prints at the time and I love PRETTY diapers :crazy: I never had any that didn't work, just not my prefernce. Although I did NOT like the Bumpkins vented covers. Those always seemed to leak for me.

3. How many AIO's did you start out with? I think 3 or 4, but I don't remember. In the begining I had a little bit of everything (pocket, fitted, prefolds, aios etc) By a few months I knew what I liked and ordered 12 fuzzibunz and used the rest as back ups)

6. How many diaper covers did you start out with? I think I had 6-8. Again I forget, it's been about a year :lol:

If I am going somewhere with access to a sink I usually use CDs and bring along my bag from www.happytushies.com If I am going somewhere like the beach where there is limited access to fresh water, I use disposables :blue: But those times are few and far between. As long as you don't mind catring the dirties around, it's just as easy as using disposables.

8. How often do you have to change CD's verses Disposies? I've alwasy changed Gab about every 2-3 hours in the beginning. Now it's still about every 3 hours or if I know she is wet or poopy

9. What did/do you do with the ones that didnt quite work out? Nothing yet. I keep saying I am going to sell them, but I am too lazy :blush:
