ARGH!!! :tearhair:
Jackson (3 1/2) was doing really great with pooping in the toilet, but has suddenly had a major regression. He had a little one after first learning, and we went back to naked from the waist down to reinforce it. We did a sticker chart with a prize after he filled the chart with poops in the toilet, and he did well.
Fast forward a few weeks and he's back to pooping in his underwear, which is not only frustrating but also freaking nasty! :puke: I'm to the point where I can barely contain my anger/frustration when he does it. I don't think he's doing it to be defiant, as he's not really the type. I just can't figure out how to "fix" it. I hesitate to go back to naked butt/sticker chart, because I don't want him to figure out that racket (ie. prize at the end of the rainbow).
It seems like a lot of kids went through this phase because they sort of take the whole potty/toilet thing for granted, but what's the trick for making the phase as short as possible? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
