What are the top five chores you secretly enjoy doing?

You're kidding, right?

1) Making the bed/clean sheet day
2) Laundry
3) Ironing
4) Scrubbing the bathroom
5) Any type of real deep cleaning: scrubbing baseboards/cabinets/windows

I just like the clean sparkle.

I hate vacuuming though.

Well other than sex.. but don't tell my husband that!!

This is going to take some thought

1. Vacuuming
2. Mopping the floor - on my hands and knees
3. Organizing anything
4. Hand washing dishes - by myself
5. Cleaning out my car

AND, the only reason I secretly like doing these is that I like the end result and seeing how much nicer things look when they are done :supergrin

3. Changing the sheets.
4. Putting away groceries

4)Grocery shopping
5)Vacuuming

I don't do bathrooms either. I also hate doing yardwork and taking out the garbage. All Jim's jobs by default.

You are all seriously loopy. What's enjoyable about housework? :dead: If I had to say something, I guess I'd say ironing cause I can do that while watching tv and often choose that over something less desirable.

grocery shopping
cooking
purging/organizing things...especially when new bins & whatnot are involved

I don't think I can come up with 5....

1. cooking (most of the time)
2. grocery shopping
3. putting the clothes in the washer (but not the folding or putting away)
4. paying bills (not that I like throwing all my money at bills, but I feel accomplished when I am done - plus I make spread sheets, and I like doing that  )

Clare, that's exactly the reason folding laundry is on the first spot  I can fold it while watching Oprah

Oh, I wake up every morning so excited about all of the housework I get to do! Doesn't everybody? You don't?

My DH would laugh so hard if he saw me post this! I will admit that my list is more of a "secretly don't mind doing" than "secretly like."

1. laundry - I love getting rid of piles of dirty clothes and putting them away clean. :)
2. wiping the countertops
3. cooking
4. organizing/purging crap
5. grocery shopping

I also am discovering a new one that's not in the house - weeding! :) I love getting rid of all the mess/clutter outside and leaving the pretty plants I want to keep for everyone to enjoy.

I have to agree with Clare. You people are all seriously loopy, making lists of stuff you like doing around the house..... I love sitting on the couch doing nothing, could that be a chore? ...but if *I* must, here it goes:

....cooking...I love cooking, though not for myself-it's fun for friends and family
....organizing things only when new bins are involved (then the newness wears off)
....planting flowers and taking care of my yard
....cleaning bathrooms-well, I hate cleaning, but love the result
....paying bills-in a geeky kind of way, it gives me a great sense of accomplishment
