How old are you? I'm 35

Where in the world are you? I live North of Toronto

What do you do? I run a Day Care from home

How old are your children and what are their names? Brandon 10, Ryan 8, Kassandra 6

Are you currently pregnant or Trying to Conceive (TTC)? Oh god no I'm done in the area.

Do you have any hobbies? Love to read, swim, camp, walks, baseball

How did you find OUAL? (what website or member or google search?) I was surfing the net for advice on daycare children/nap

Is there any information in particular you are looking for? yes, if you have children age 2 do they nap and for how long do you let them sleep? Nap time for my daycare children is 12-2.

Welcome, Nancy! :wavey:

My 20 month old usually naps from about 12:30 - 2:00pm or so. At daycare, I think they put them down between 11:30 and noon and they sleep for a couple of hours. Hope that helps! :)

Welcome Nancy!!!

I have a 2 1/2 yr old. She's been out of daycare for a couple of weeks now, but her dc nap time was 12:30 to 2:30 and she usually slept the whole time:)

:wavey: Hi Nancy!

I have an almost 3 year old. She naps about 1.5-2 hours a day (on average). I find it's a catch-22. If she naps, she's up later in the evening. If she doesn't, she's evil by around 6ish.

But IMO for a kid that just turned 2, a nap is essential. Maybe a good compromise with those parents would be a shorter nap? :dunno:

Mandi, the child comes normal at 7am and the parents only want her to nap for 20 min's and by 10:30 I can start to see some of the evil getting ready to come out. I do daycare cause I love the children but I'm not ready to deal with a cranky child either. I've been doing day care for 3 1/2 yrs and I have never had any problem with the kids or parents about naps.

Thank all for you input I greatly appreciate.
