crayons from restaurants

I'm talking about the ones they give kids when you sit down. Just curious what you do with them when you leave the restaurant?

I usually take them w/me. I have a little baggie that I keep in my diaper bag of the crayons from restaurants, so my kids don't fight over the colors ;)

I keep them if they came in a new wrapper. If they were used when we got them, I leave them there.

Depends on how they come, if they give them in an old cup or glass and some are broken and the paper is peeled off, we leave them. Sometimes they will give them a fresh, unopened pack that usually means they can keep them, but I will usually ask if I'm unsure.

If they're the new, in the package kind I'll keep them in a baggie in my purse with our collection of crayons for when we're out.. if not.. I leave em!

We keep a ziploc baggie full of crayons (mainly from restaurants) in the diaper bag with a pad of paper for the kids to color. It's saved me a hundred times over.

Same here and then, like Trish, I put them in my bag along with a pad of paper so whenever we go somewhere there might be a wait I have them. :)

I guess I should add that the crayons we get at restaurants are usually always new, so that is why I keep them. If they were crappy and old I would not keep them.

Me too. I do have one little set from a restaurant that stays in my bag for emergencies. But in general, we don't take them because they're not washable. We are very loyal to washable markers and crayons around here.

Oh, ditto this. The restaurants around here all give out the little 4 or 5 packs of new crayons to kids. (all washable) I wouldn't take the ones from the cups.

Mine are only cluttering the outside pocket of my big purse (handy when the other clutter inside means I can't find a pen!) and the lunch-bag size diaper bag. :) The ones in restaurants here are crayola brand.

I honestly can't remember the last time we've been to a restaurant that gave out crayons to Paige :scratch: but anyway..I would leave them, alway's :)

We usually leave them if they're still usable. If Maya has snapped them in half or done something else to them, we'll take them with us. Then I throw them away when we get outside. I'm just embarrassed leaving used-up crayons behind. :lol:
