Spill 'em here! Nothing big or earth shattering, just those little things that you're a little embarrassed about. ;)
I'll start:
Any time "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield comes on the radio, I turn it way up and belt it out along with her. :blush1:

Mine is also about a song that I turn up every time it's on. Yes, it the Backstreet Boys.
Everybody, yeah
Rock your body, yeah
Everybody, yeah
Rock your body right
Backstreet's back, alright

If we're going to confess about songs... I also kind of like "I'm too sexy... for my shirt". It's fun. Actually, there are quite a few songs ya'll would laugh at me for liking.

I'm a huge fan of ghost-hunting shows like "Ghost Hunters" or "Dead Famous" or "Most Haunted". Someone a while ago posted pics of a house someone went to see and there were orbs all over the film - I was one of two people (and I know who the other one was, most likely) that voted it was likely real. I can't help it, I just can't believe that THIS is it, kwim?

I'm embarassed to admit this but I'm a huge SciFi/Fantasy book geek. All the Lord of the Rings type books (not so much hard-core sci fi as epic fantasy stuff). I've read them all. Yup, I'm a total loser. :)

FBI files - CSI - Law and Order - all those shows I'm all over them.

Like Anne, I will ANYTHING having to do with ghosts and hauntings. :heee: I'm completely addicted to the whole thing! The scarier/gorier the movie, the more I want to see it. I also occasionally look at stuff like Gore Gallery online as well.....yes, I have an iron stomach and I'm a sicko.
I also like watching the Maury shows where the girl is trying to find her baby daddy....and the guys she's currently testing are #'s 9 and 10. It makes me feel better about myself. :heee:

I have another one too - I LOVE popping zits, picking scabs, pulling off sunburn skin, and tweezing hair. :heee: Nichole, you're not alone!! :hug99:
Paul loves this and has me "go on patrol" on his back now and then for blackheads. I don't find stuff very often....but when I find a big one, it totally makes my day.
I should be an aesthician.......is that you spell it?

Shannon and Nichole and I are going to form a Skin Club. We're all pickers and pullers. I likes me nothin' more than some peelin' skin. Ahh... the joys of zit patrol.
Another confession. An ickier one. I smoke cigars. Or at least I did until I had kids. Now I just keep them in my humidor. Not Kai's humidor. My humidor.
Don't hate me.

Shannon, I used to have to do ingrown hair patrol on Brendon's neck/chin (before he switched to an electric razor; he doesn't get them anymore). I secretly liked it. :heee:
And peeling sunburned skin (something I don't really get anymore ;)) - wheeeeee! :aok:

I like to pick scabs and mine and Mason's fingernails but he won't let me pick his. I picked what I thought was a blood blister on my finger when pregant with Mason and it turned out to be a pyeogenic granuloma. (http://www.aocd.org/skin/dermatologic_diseases/pyogenic_granuloma.html) I showed my Doc after I picked it and she said "If ever there was a picker, it's me!" and she picked at it too!

I have a thing for peeling off sunburn patches too. I'd try to see how big a piece I could pull off.
This is all reminding me of ah, I'm blanking on her name. Ally something, who in Breakfast Club, made a snow picture by shaking dandruff out of her hair. :dead:
I also have a fixation on the wax in my kids' ears, but it's more amazement at how much gunk can fit into those tiny holes.
And finally, my husband thinks I have an obsession with serial killers. I just got a book from the library entitled "100 Years of Murder in America" so maybe he's right.

Ok, I'll make another confession... I'm a little obsessive about getting boogies out of Gavin's nose. He's had a cold lately, so there's been a plethora and I can't rest until I get them all out. Those suckers are huge! It's like part of his brain is coming out of his nose.

Hubby and I made a bet about the egg question... he thought they do something to the eggs after they are hatched :silly: I thought that sounded ridiculous. Which it is.
Answer: White hens lay white eggs. Brown and red hens lay speckled or brown eggs.
Now aren't you glad you know that? :)
Oh and I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't know this! I thought I was severely lacking in basic knowledge of how the world works.

My confession:
I don't drink water. Well, I have about half a glass with my meds at night, but other than that, I don't drink water at all. Sometimes I'll drink the fizzy flavored water stuff, but plain water - no way. I honestly would rather check in to the hospital and be rehydrated with an IV than have to drink water.

See, now I hate putting it away! I'll fold your laundry, Colleen, if you'll put mine away. I sometimes leave it out for a week at a time. I keep hoping the laundry fairy will come and put it away but she never shows up
I'm a closet Beverly Hills 90210 watcher. I could tell you what an episode was about just by seeing the first 5 minutes. I used to be in my glory when they'd run marathons on FX on Saturdays.

My beauty pageant confession is that I really only watch the beginning to see if Miss South Dakota is actually cute this year. (it's where I grew up, in case anyone's wondering if I have a strange fixation  )
There was a period when I wasn't working regularly (I was substitute teaching), and I watched reruns of Magnum, PI on Bravo (I think it was that channel) almost every day. :heee:

I play with my hair.
I LOVE folding laundry. It's the putting away that I detest.
We smuggled in Cuban cigars too, from St. Lucia....wait, or was it Jamaica? Can't remember. We stashed them in a container that was filled with coffee and put it in our suitcase. We were told to do that, it works being undetected or something. Can't quite remember....
I always have to see what Miss New Jersey looks like.
I'm a closet Brady Bunch lover. I can answer any question about any episode.
I'm sure there's more....

Which is good because I fit right in!!
I am obsessed with Buffy.. and I was literally devistated when they stopped making them :blue: I can sit and watch a buffy marathon from beginning to end and then start all over.. if I am flicking and find it on I can't help but watch it, no matter how many times I have seen it... (I even played the buffy play station game  )
I also LOVE playing the PC CSI games! Tony just got me the latest one and I finished it in a weekend
I am also a social smoker! I quit smoking over 7 years ago but I can't seem to kick the habit if I am having a drink.
I am also obsessed with serial killer books, documentarys and movies.

oh and one more.. I NEVER iron... well I guess I can't say NEVER I usually don't iron, I go to great lengths to not overload the washing machine, shake a zillion times before hanging on the line, then folding everything immediately so I don't have to iron.... the ONLY time I iron is if we are going to something formal and we have to look extra crisp! I don't even have a full sized ironing board

Don't worry about it. I don't have ANY ironing board. Full size or half-ass size. If I were to iron (which it ain't gonna happen...geesh, I haven't even seen the iron in years! ), I'd be in big trouble cuz I would probably have to fold a large beach towel in half and iron on the floor or the counter. :blush1:

My Confession: I hate to clean...anything. I would rather do anything than clean. As a matter of fact I should be cleaning right now..but where am I?? On here making confessions.

Gosh, I have confess to this too. It's not that I'm lazy is just that it irritates the heck out of me when I clean and (in what it seems like) 15 minutes later I need to clean again!! Especially the kitchen floor

Another confession (even though some pple here already know this). I much prefer drinking milk out of a glass. Not a ceramic cup, not a plastic cup, nor a disposable cup. A clear drinking glass. Oh, the reasoning behind it is 1) it looks more appealing (just like the commercials when they pour it in a clear glass  2) it always seems more 'colder' when drinking it out of a glass rather than ceramic or plastic.

I was just kidding, Mandy. I like to check myself out in mirrors every now and then, partly because I'm a little vain and partly to make sure I don't have some crap on my face or something.
When I went on my first interview for a "real" job, it was very windy outside. I checked myself in the car mirror before getting out of the car, then went into the interview. I thought the interview went pretty well, and I got the job. But when I got back into the car, I checked the mirror again, and to my horror I had some big black thing/mark on my face. I have no idea if it was there for the whole interview or not. :blush1: I'm pretty sure the wind blew it on to my face on my way into the building because it wasn't as windy when I left. I once was at a restuarant with my aunt and she liked taking me to the sports bar and we'd have drinks together and a meal. Well, I ordered a burger that night and got my drink on.
There was this really cute guy at the bar who happened to be wearing a letterman's jacket from my college. He kept making glances at me.
Finally, he came over to me on his way to the bathroom (I guess) and did that finger gesture telling you you have something on your face. Yeah. I was so happy buzzed I didn't notice the ketchup on my cheek.

hmmm... Bridget VS. Karri... that's one I would pay to see. I wouldn't know WHO to put my money on!
I'm another one who picks at anything not permanently attached to my body or those of my children, including eye crust (which I don't believe was mentioned yet, go me!). I have been known to restle a screaming child down with both hands to liberate a booger. (my arguement is, isn't it easier to breath?).
Otherwise, I'm VERY weak when it comes to watching people talk. I love to know who wins the Oscars, but I can't watch the speeches because I'm afraid the winners will say something embarassing. Also can't want pageants because of the interview question-what if they mess up? I even tend to switch off sit-coms because the characters inevitably get embarassed by something... and they aren't even real! I just can't stand seeing people get embarassed or even look like a fool if they aren't aware enough to realize they should be embarassed
I also have a crush on Mariska Hargitay from Law & Order SVU.

This should probably go in the Daily Beef, but to hell with it, it's still a confession.
I got my order of goody bag items from Oriental Trading Co. for the kid's birthday party. I noticed I was missing two items, so I called in to ask if they were coming in a separate shipment. The guy I got on the phone immediately whipped out his asshole card and told me in quite a snotty little tone that I didn't get the other items because I hadn't ordered them. And basically how dare I imply that they had done something wrong?
:fado: Nice.
You know... is it possible I made a mistake? Or course. But do I need to be talked to that way when I just put in an innocent and polite query? No.
So I said I was sure I ordered them and was there any other way to check, at which point he pretty much implied I had my head up my ass. Not, well, we'd be happy to go ahead and order them now. Not, why don't you let me look up the item number and see if they're still available. Just, you are clearly an idiot who is trying to cheat OTC.
So I told him to GO FUCK HIMSELF and hung up the phone.
:shuffle:
I wuz bad, I wuz real, real bad.

Ooooh I'd be pissed too, Bridget. Makes me not want to do business with OTC ever again if they treat customers like that. :complain:

I'd be pissed too Bridget! I actually had a guy from the USPS hang up on me once because I insisted that the USA must have a lost mail repository (it's actually a mail recovery centre but they are clearly the same thing!) and that I knew my parcel wasn't in Canada so it must be in the US somewhere. When he found out I was in Canada he said he wouldn't deal with me anymore. :wtf: I calmed myself down then called the supervisor. They didn't help much but I told them to scan all the tapes and deal with the jerk!
On the cursing thing, I am pretty good about only cursing at work and I'm proud of that. :) The funniest thing is one time a friend of mine was so mad at a co-worker she couldn't think of anything bad to call him and she was spitting nails and smoke was coming out of her ears and she finally called him a Fucking Fucker! We laughed our heads off and it quickly became a favourite for us. It was hysterical IRL, I swear. :heee:

I got so pissed at a co-worker for telling me what to do one more time at my last job that I said, "whatever you want, your royal highness" under my breath. Apparently she heard it. When I told others what I had done, I got several high 5s because this person used to run around telling everyone what to do all the time. She was an admin telling people with more seniority, education & experience what to do. Regardless of position or background, the rest of us would treat everyone with the same level of respect (I would never tell her what to do unless I was in charge & something needed to be done a certain way). The embarrassing thing is that though I knew what I said
wasn't professional, it cracks me up to think about it now

OMG, I'm so the same! I talk to myself SOOO MUCH! I think it came about when Zack was born and I was used to having him with me all the time and narrating *everything* I did... fast forward a couple of years and I'm in the grocery store alone (a rarity indeed) and there I am in the drink aisle, rocking my empty cart to sooth the baby that is not in there, announcing to the strangers passing by, "oh no, they don't have daddy's YooHoo..."
And only the tip of the iceberg.
Oh, and I think we're going to build it into the agenda of the next scrapping retreat to haul Shel to the tatoo parlor and get her marked up :dude:

OMG this is a funny thread!
I too am a kid booger picker, scab picker, sunburn peeler etc. etc. So bad, that Jackson is starting to pick it up. I was laying in bed this morning and he said "Mommy has a boogy," then stuck his finger up my nose to get it! It isn't as fun the other way around!
My big confession is that my best friend's boyfriend bought her a ring and is going to pop the question on their vacation together Memorial Day weekend...she has no idea...but he told me. I'm dying to tell her, but obviously I won't...it just sucks b/c I have to spend the whole day with her today and no say anything, then keep the secret for another month...
I have a potty mouth too, but the worst thing Jackson has picked up so far is "oh shoot!" I am wondering if he's really saying shit, but mispronouncing it, b/c I definitely don't use "shoot" much. This morning, he was playing with the blinds on the window (he is not allowed to) and he didn't know I was watching, he messed them up and said "oh shoot!, blinds are broken!" Then he walked away and pretended he had never been near the blinds.

My birthday is coming up in 2 weeks and I am thinking - since no one ever makes a party for me... how about me organizing one for myself?
We had this event at work (which I missed of course) with a chocolate fountain and things to dip into it. I am dying to "treat" myself to such a thing and invite a couple of friends I like.
But then ... I thought of using that as surprise party for DH. Hmmm....
