Help!!!
About a year ago (when Brookelyn was 1 1/2) we changed her crib into the toddler bed. She's done fine in it since day one, sleeping through the night and everything, never any problems. All of a sudden for the past week she refuses to sleep in her bed, no matter what we say. She starts crying hysterically (it seems like she's terrified) and jumps right up and chases after us if we leave her there. She is insisting on sleeping on the floor in her room, right next to her bed. We can't figure out what is going on because she only says 'because' when we ask her why she won't sleep in her bed.... Any tips?!?!

If she stays asleep there I would just leave her.

Has anyting else changed around her?

Lily went through this phase too. About the same age, maybe a tad older. We called it "camping out." She'd drag her whole bed into the hallway and sleep there. When we asked her about it she said it was because everybody had a "partner."

As in, Jim and I sleep in the same room, the boys sleep in the same room, Hell, even the cats sleep together. This was PreIsabella. She finally told me that when her baby sister was born she would sleep in her bed. And she does and she has ever since we had Isabella.

My pedi recommended a really great book about sleep and children. I'll have to go hunt it down and tell you the name. It worked wonders.

That's the thing, nothing has changed and nothing has happened!!
Please do Jen!! We're at such a loss. She's never had sleep problems, not since the night we brought her home from the hospital!! And it's like she's terrified. I totally cleaned around her bed today to, to make sure there was nothing that might be 'scary' or anything!?!? ... weird!
Thanks:)
