Sooo, never in my life have I had to deal with daylight savings time! And now, we do :angry2:

How do you handle naps and bedtime? I'm not too worried about Riley, but Owen is such an amazing sleeper, I'm afraid this may shoot it all out the window! Do you gradually change bedtimes, or what?

Shel we just went on like the same and it worked out. Alyssa was never thrown by it. We woke up the next morning when we needed to and I put her down at the same usual time and it worked out. I didn't off it by an hour or anything

Springing forward is easier because you actually have to wake up early so they are tired by nap time

I never did anything to adjust Julia's naps - if I put her down at 1:30pm before the change, I still put her down at 1:30 after.

I don't do anything different either.

We don't really do anything different. She doesn't usually adjust overnight, but gets there after a few days. Nap time isn't as big of a deal for us as bedtime, and getting up in the morning.

This time, Anna's sprung ahead already. She's been up at 5:30 the past few days, so hopefully on Sunday, we'll be back to 6:30. :)

Jackson, too. :dead: I'm looking forward to the time change so it's darker in the morning again.

We never did/do anything to adjust for time change, either. It really only affects bedtime (because it's still so light and they think they need to stay up  ) and morning wake up slightly. After a couple of days, it's all good. :aok:

I guess I'm just worried because Owen is ready to go to bed now at 7:30 every night. I make him stay up until 8, but it's a chore! Maybe I should be more worried about fall?

Kinda. So now you put him to bed at 8 and on the night of April 2nd (when you technically dont set the clocks ahead till 2am  ), you'll still put him to bed at 8, but you can think of it as 9pm. It shouldnt mess with his wake-up time, unless it makes him sleep in a tad more (who minds that??).

In fall is when it can get wonky. Because DST ends and you fall back an hour, there is a chance that they get up an hour early for awhile. But you have awhile to worry about that. And he'll be older, so there will be less of a chance.
