Okay so the minimum number of kids I MUST pay for, for Aidens birthday is 8.

I have 9 children I am inviting, I don't want to go too overboard with invitations because its $21 a head.

BUT in saying that I also don't want to pay for 8 children if only 5 are there, is it too rude of me to send out invites AFTER the rsvp date if not all of them rsvp yes? or should I just invite more and if they all happen to say yes then its something I have to cop?

The party date is the 7th May... and I have put the RSVP's for the 23rd April...

And if you think I should invite more just incase, how many more would you invite?

Hmm toughie. You always have to pay the minimum? I would invite the first choice then if they don't RSVP call them and then call and ask others if necessary. I don't think it's ideal but if you have to pay for 8 then that's what I'd do to ensure that I'm not paying for imaginary friends. :)

I would invite the ones you really want to show. Call them a week before the rsvp states and see who will be coming. That way if some are not going to be able to make it you can still get more invites out and make the rsvp date. You can always say that you were late getting them out. Oooops. KWIM???

Bev: yep thats right I gotta pay for the minimum of 8 regardless, and I definatley don't want to be paying for imaginary friends :awink:

 Melissa... yeah that was my original thought, I was thinking if I got the invites out really early then hopefully people wont' wait till the last minute to RSVP giving me the chance to get out more invites if I need to.

I am pretty sure most of them will come, but you just never know.
