I have 2 words that bother me ... and I freely admit loving when I was a teacher:
School vacations/holidays!
Summer holidays here are 2 full months (in HS even longer).
And right now before Pessach ... the kids have 1.5 weeks of vacation BEFORE Pessach plus 8 days of Pessach.

I wish Tylor's Teacher would communicate more. She just never seems to want to talk to the parents at all. The room mom's try very hard to get things planned for the class and I guess she has the kids send us home thank you's when we help (I have gotten a few from the class) but the teacher never sends a note to let us know what is going on in the class. She is very unpersonal. Even at conference time when I thought I would talk to her she sent a note home saying "Tylor does not need a conference at this time" And left it at that. Because of his grades I know he is doing well but I feel like he is doing it on his own as I can't see any reflection of the teachers work
I also think there are way to many subs this year. I think Tylor comes home at least once a week and says his teacher isn't at school (she tells them she has a meeting) and he has a substatute.

My I can't imagine spring break right now. Our spring break is always the week before Easter. Our kids will have the 10th of April off through the 17th and go back on Tuesday after Easter the 18th!

I wish Yumi would get the hang of
- writing down his HW in his HW planner
- get ready for school on his own and at a faster pace.

Liam is doing great in kindergarten, he just takes forever to get ready to go. He has really caught on how to read and spell things. He's always been great at math. He likes to quiz me on math facts to see if I know as much as he does. His latest word he likes to spell is POOP. Grrreeeaat!
Lily is in preschool and has been writing forever. She could do her name and the whole families first names when she was 3. She's starting to read and is waaaay ahead of any of the boys. The kids at preschool were accusing her of cheating because they were doing a cross word puzzle and Lily can spell. So when 2 down was SPIDER and she got it right all by herself, they told her she had to be cheating because she is only 4.
Austin's still really struggling. We got his standardized test back and he's only in the 21 percentile. Which is actually good for him. The letter attached said if your child is lower then 45 percentile they may have a learning disorder.
No duh!?! Really?
His biggest issue is more comprehension and poor fine motor skills. So writing things down takes him forever.
He's really come a long way, but he's still not up to his grade/age level. He is loving reading and trying to get through the first Harry Potter book. It takes him a while. He has to read things over a couple times to understand them clearly.
