I realized last night that I'm still using baby wash on Ellie in the bath tub. I used it when Ian was small just so I could use the same thing for both of them. But, now he's older and neither of them really need the baby wash. I don't think I want to use adult stuff on them yet. I don't want to risk it getting in their eyes. Ellie throws a fit enough as it is when I try to wash her. You're think I was killing her. I can only imagine if she got something in her eyes that stung!

So, what are you using on your kids?

We're still using Baby Wash too. I just finally bought Baby Shampoo for them - until a few months ago, that was going in their hair too. Ah, they're boys with very short hair. :)

My friend recommends this product by Johnson & Johnson.

I think I'll try that sooner than later. But for now, the Baby Wash is easier b/c it's liquid and still doing the trick. Aidan and Colin both wash themselves w/ it by squirting it onto a face cloth.

We're still using baby soap too and I'm not quite sure why. I don't use the baby soap to wash their hair either. I have some Suave for kids in a Strawberry scent since it's suppose to help with tangles.

I have bought those Huggies washing mits that have the soap in them (just get them wet and work into a lather) but the kids didn't like them. They complained about them being scratchy and that it hurt when I washed them.

Can I jump in from another playgroup? :scan:

We're still using baby wash (Aveeno). Its easier. Actually, call me a bad mom, but I dont even wash the kids, except their faces and behind their ears :heee: The 30 minutes they spend in a tub full of sudsy baby wash gets them clean enough, IMO, and its less of a battle to me.

I tried the J&J thing w/ Aidan that alyssa posted above, but it was too drying for his skin (and he doesnt have sensitive skin).

I still use baby wash too. Its just easier, smells good (there is nothing better than a freshly bathed baby..........granted their not babies anymore ), and its neater. I bought the huggies clean team mitts but they arent great smelling. The kids use L'oreol 2-1 shampoo.

I agree. I just squirt some bubble bath into the water and then use the washcloth behind their ears on on their faces, wash with Suave shampoo, and call 'em clean.

we're trying the Huggies clean team shampoo and body wash. I'm pretty sure Jayne uses the Baby stuff still too with Alyssa so if it works, use it! Nothing wrong with that baby scent!!

My kids actually hardly ever take a bath. They take a shower every day.
I use kid-friendly (ie doesn't bother their eyes) shampoo that contains rosmary. I use it both for their hair and body.
(I use rosmary because it helps keep the lice away... and there are too many of them around here.)

I barely even do this! But when I do I use Baby Body Wash stuff. We do use a foam shampoo that doesn't drip. When we shampoo, that is. The screaming makes my ears bleed, so we don't shampoo too often. :)

Huggies team clean stuff here as well. I still have a diaper box FULL of J&J and Aveeno bath products to use up too. I have been giving them out as part of baby shower gifts

We started using the J&J Buddies version of what Alyssa posted. the girls love it, and it doesn't seem to be too drying.

Man, am I so glad to hear someone else say this too! It's another reason I still use baby wash; I just dump some in to the tub water like bubble bath (which sometimes goes in as well) and have that help do a lot of the cleaning. I do still have A&C clean themselves too, but that is more out of my desire to teach them how to than to assume it's doing 100% of the job.

We still have a ton of J&J baby wash to use up but lately she's been using Spiderman foaming soap, it smells nice and leaves her skin pretty soft :) for her hair I just use any shampoo we have kicking around.

BTW - don't you LOVE the J&J and other baby soap smell? Reminds me of how tiny they once were.
Maybe that is (one of the) reasons so many of us still use it? :)

Alyssa uses this stuff to wash herself but when I want her good and clean I still use Baby Magic on her. I love the scent and she just seems so clean from it. It works great. Why change. It is getting harder and harder to find in it's original scent and so I am looking for other places to find it. My friend is going to have a baby at the end of June and loves how Alyssa has always smelled  I am looking to buy her a huge case of Baby Magic

We're still using baby bath, it's easier since I could use it with both kids and we're still doing it to this day.
Eliot freaks out about water/soap going in his eyes so I don't even want to think what it would be like if he got shampoo in there
Right now we're using Huggies with Lavender, love the smell!! And I can still get away with using the J&J lotion (original or milk lotion) and will probably use it as long as I can get away with it since I love the smell :aok:

We're been using adult soap since Katie was a year. We wash her face with just water, but I'll use soap for everything else. I do still use baby shampoo.

YES...That is the baby bath. I need the lotion also!
This might give us a reason to take a drive to meet! Cheaper then shipping it!

That is also what I use for Olivia and Kaden. I can find the baby wash at Wal-Mart but the lotion is really hard to find.

I have a bunch of stuff in their bathroom, all baby products, some Mustela b/c I like the smell, some J&J, some Aveeno. I mostly just dump it in the tub and wash hair and faces and sometimes more of Courtney b/c she likes to wear her food... I use Cetaphil for faces, b/c I like it and it's really mild. I'll probably use baby stuff for a long time.

I love it and I don't plan on switching to anything else for a while. :) I wash his whole body with it - head to feet.

I still use J&J Lavendar baby bath for all 3 kids (for body and hair). I make Kalyssa wash herself. I wash Keira. Kaden mostly get clean from playing in the water.

I also always give the kids a bath or shower all together in the tub.

Once in a while I put a pearl size drop of adult conditioner in Kalyssa's hair before she gets out. I don't wash it all out. It helps with her curls.

Madison still uses Gerber wash when she bathes in her tub or our tub. In the shower we have Huggies clean team, I love the way it smells.

Nicholas still likes drinking the water in the tub, though, so I let them play a bit without any soap in there for a while. I LOVE the idea of someday being able to pour some in and call it good with minimal actual washing.

Soap??? we dont use soap - we wait till the dirt crusts enough to fall off the kids. Did you know that after a week, the odor ceases - either that, or my sense of smell is no longer working due to the the stench.

:lol2: Is that what you were looking for Theresa ;) :hug99:

I really like the new Aloe Ivory soap. The whole family uses it. Yes, Alex will still drink the bath water but he seems to be fine, except for the occasional twitching.
