Once again, I'm so confused.

I have to take

2 snacks and a lunch with disposable plates, cups, etc.
1-2 changes of clothes
diapers and wipes
blanket and small pillow or soft toy for naptime
crib sheet for the mat

I think that, because she is part time, I will have to bring all this stuff back and forth every day, not just once a week like the full time kids.

My parent handbook says to bring things in a "SMALL backpack".
How am I supposed to get all this stuff stuffed in a small backpack? What is a small backpack? And where am I supposed to get one at this time of year?

Oh, geez...I know I'm making this so much harder than it has to be. but I've never had to do this before and I honestly don't know what to do.

I would think a regular size backpack would be fine. There is no way you could fit all that into anything smaller.
As far as buying a backpack, department stores should carry them. If not, you could get one from Eddie Bauer or a luggage store.

Brooke, ask them if you can leave the stuff. With all the stuff we have for Joe at daycare we'd go nuts if we had to bring it back and forth. And ask them what they mean by a small backpack and anything else you have questions about. There's no reason for you to go nuts trying to figure it out.

Oh Brooke.. That stinks that you have to lug that stuff in every day. Is there any way they'll let you keep stuff in a little rubbermaid shoe bin there?

Lexie only goes 3 days per week and they keep her extra clothes, wipes and diapers so I only have to bring in new when they're out. They also keep her blanket and sheet for a week.

Typically we've been using those hospital supplied diaper bags and they hold a good amount for the daily trek. I do see a lot backpacks too though. I bet Modell's, Dick's or even Target would carry them.

FYI.. For snacks, I buy those small "snack" size baggies and let them throw it away when done. Otherwise for lunch, she gets those Gerber Graduates or fruit in a reusable plastic container. Let me get this??? They want ALL disposable stuff??

No, I don't think so....It says they encourage disposable paper or plastic because everything else will be sent home to be washed. Not that big of a deal, I guess. But they won't wash a plate if I send one.

Meals are going to kill me, too. No raisins because of choking hazards. That's one think I KNOW she will eat.

I checked target for backpacks last night and they only had pre-teen character ones with wheels and everything.

Brooke--can you leave some of the things? The changes of clothes, the diapers and wipes, and the bedding? That makes a lot more sense. Then, take the food every day in the backback. I leave my son's changes of clothes there and he has almost never used them. I just make sure that they are appropriate for the season and that they are the right size.

She's only going 2 days a week starting March 2.
