Has anyone done a Spiderman theme birthday? I am thinking of doing this for Alex's B-day this year (I have a little time since his B-day is in July). I would like to see any ideas that you may have.

Thanks!

Becky (Bunybomb) has a fantastic life size Spiderman she's trying to get rid of. See the Weird Ebay Sales thread. :)

You could do Pin the Spider on the Web for a fun game. They also have Spiderman Pinatas but I'm not sure you'd want a gaggle of 4 year old boys running around with sticks trying to smash it.

We had a Spiderman birthday party for Alex this year. I wasn't too create and just got the Spiderman table cloths, plates and masks from WalMart along with red and green balloons to match the pattern in the plates/tablecloth.

However, I did make the cake myself and it came out pretty cool - if I do say so myself. It was Spiderman standing on a building shooting a web to a taller building (both buildings were cake). Alex had a little Spiderman figurine and I used some twine for the web. Everyone who was there said it looked better than the store bought cake my SIL had gotten for my niece (joint party). I'll try to upload the pics tonight.

Yes, I do have a fantastic lifesize Spiderman. Thanks for trying to sell it off for me Beverly! It was the only reason I did a Spiderman theme bday for Alex. Nothing else was creative. Plates, napkins, goodie bags and a cake all from the store.....

If you manage to unload it on her (I mean, if she makes a smart and wise purchase) I want a commission.

Okay, I finally got the pictures downloaded off my camera so I can share the pic of Alex's birthday cake:

Sorry if it's a little "grainy" but it turns out it's the only one I have. The buildings are cake frosted with grey icing (used a touch of Halloween black) and the windows are sprayed on. One of the grocery stores had this new decorating spray for cakes. I made a rectangle template and sprayed windows on the building. Pretty cool, huh?
