Stagg has informed me that they are having some issues at the hosting facility. They have someone on the job and at the place trying to make sure that everything is fixed. There may be some more intermittent outages as they unplug and replug things to get it all working well.

I apologize for any inconvenience as they get things sorted out.

Whew! I thought it was something on my end at work (like they had cut my access! :errr: ). Good to know it's not.

to test that nichole, you can ping oual. if it comes up server not found, then oual is down.

to test that nichole, you can ping oual. if it comes up server not found, then oual is down.

But if they block access to the site, you wouldn't be able to ping it either.

you can! my company has blocked photobucket but i can still ping it. i think they're using websense to filter.

at the c: prompt simply type ping www.onceuponalife.com

Now that you say that, I think I've done it before. It obviously didn't get stored in long term memory.

It doesn't work here - if a site is blocked you can't ping it either.

I was wondering what was going on this AM. I thought maybe y'all had some bad weather that knocked the server out.

i bet you guys didn't notice when we cut our 100mb peer to cogent tonight. OSPF switched us over to gnax easy greasy. Graham (Our routing guy) worked hard to make sure nothing in the cage went down during the failover. He was concerned about calls from georgia aquarium though, but I keep reminding him to fear you guys.

This time it wasn't power that took us off, it was one of our upstream providers. They apparantly had a routing loop, and the people in their organization who show up before 9:30 am don't have a clue as to how to fix these things. So they are fired. Anyways sorry for the interruption, thanks to any who helped make us aware of the problem.
