Bridal Shower Invitations

I'm planning a bridal shower for my sister. It's on March 26th. When should I send out the invitations? Do they have to go out 8 weeks in advance like the wedding?

I would say at the latest, 2-4 weeks ahead. I dont think you need send them any earlier than 6 weeks ahead though, unless you have a lot of people coming from out of town.
