I started Clomid last night. I'll take it CD 3-7. My doctor isn't returning my calls (she's doing a quadruple delivery! )so I want any/all the info you girls have on it.
When are we supposed to :boink: ?
I had some very vivid, strange dreams last night. Is this common? I've heard of hot flashes and other symptoms like this but the dreams freaked me out.

I think you're supposed to ovulate 10 days after Clomid. I can't remember if it's 10 days from beginning or 10 days from end. Either way I'd suggest you cover your bases.

Wow! Lynn, I know you didn't want to have to take it, but I am excited that this will do it for you! I have some info at home that I will go and re-read again tonight as to timing, etc.

I have always taken it days 5-9 and then started with the baby making on day 12. My doctor does montioring with u/s to see if my follicles are developing well and then I do an hcg shot when they look good. We definitely take care of baby making after the shot. Is your doctor monitoring you or are you using OPK's?
Clomid will definitely give you strange/vivid dreams, hot flashes, food cravings/aversions and mood swings. I have found that the side effects are the most awful for me at 100mg and 150mg. When I took 200mg, they were almost non-existent. Weird! The side effects are well worth the possible outcome though. Good luck!

Taken from Fertility Friend:
I am taking Clomid. When can I expect ovulation and how will it affect my chart?
In most cases, you can expect ovulation within 5-9 days of your last dose of Clomid, but the doctor who prescribed the medication for you should be able to give you a good indication of when to expect ovulation based on your own situation. He or she can also help you plan when to have intercourse based on when you are expecting ovulation.
You may notice that your temperatures are higher on the days you take the pills, but they should level out enough for ovulation to be detected on your chart when it occurs. Some women also notice that cervical fluid is not as abundant when taking Clomid.

I still had CM on clomid. You should BD every other day just to cover your bases. I've heard the vivid dreams as a s/e but can't remember if I had them (I get them on a normal basis anyway though). Hot flashes and being REALLY REALLY thirsty were my main s/e's
