I had the proudest Mummy moment today :) After Emily's class' nativity play and graduation ceremony  , they had the final school assembly for the year. The principal said he was starting with the "Christian Leadership" awards, which were being awarded to the one child from each year who had displayed the most Christianlike behaviour throughout the year. The first name called out was Emily's  Afterwards all the other parents were congratulating her and us. I was so proud of her!! She had no idea what it was for of course  so I told her it was because she was everyone's friend. She got a certificate and a gift. The gift isn't something I'd buy, but she was impressed with it. It's a cross with "Jesus Loves Me" written on it and a guardian angel poem.
She attends Catholic school but we're not particularly religious. We're not teaching her to act particularly "christianlike", but obviously we're doing something right for her to be acknowledged as the best behaved in her year!
