I'm trying to decide on a picture for a birth announcement...I'm not really thrilled with any of them. But of these, which would you choose? Some are from when he was just born, others are more recent.

I voted for #5 because I just  that picture. So snuggly. :love2: They're all really cute, though.

What doesn't thrill you...can photoshop help?

I just don't necessarily like how he looks in any of them, Jenn. :dunno: I like 1 and 5 best too...I guess I would like to photoshop the drool out of 1, and the quality of 5 & my chin in the shot have me a bit concerned. But I also am not a photo-doctoring expert. If anyone feels like screwing around to produce something lovely, be my guest! :awink:

Oh and if you put some sort of border around number 5 you could totally get rid of your chin

I like #1. If you're interested, I'd be happy to play with it and come up with something similar to what I did for Jacob. If you're not interested, I'll understand. :mope:

If you're not interested, I'll understand. :mope: :lol:I wish I'd asked sooner! I tried to copy the general idea & failed, so I bought "fill in the blank" announcements & am going to include one of these pictures. But if you can improve #1 or #5 and even add name and birthdate so that it's no bigger than 3x5 in, that would be great!

I like #5 the best- but I think I'd keep trying to get an even cuter one! (There isn't a time frame for sending out announcements, is there?)
A friend sent me a really cute announcement for the birth of her second child. It was a picture of both kids, with the caption, "Alex has a new hand to hold."

I can certainly try. How soon do you need them?
Jacob is sick, so I haven't had a lot of time at the computer with two hands, but as soon as I do, I'll play with the pictures.

Thanks Sarah. I have everything written/addressed so I just want to add the picture & send - I'd like to do it over the weekend.
Sorry to hear Jacob is sick.

I'm with almost everyone else, I like 1 and 5. But I like the suggestion of having 5 be BW. I think the shots are all beautiful!!

I'm diggin #5. I like Karri's idea of BW with the hat colorized blue.

I like #5 in black and white with a light blue hat. Also, try sepia tone to see how that looks. Sometimes I like the look of that even better.

Here are a few. I imagine that the B&W ones would look better if I worked from the full-sized photo. I tried to take the suggestions from the thread with the coloured hat, and doing #5 in B&W. I could do the hat in colour on the second b&w one. I'll have to look around and find instructions for sepia if you interested. I know I saw them somewhere. They are all 3x5, so you have to be sure to have them printed in the right proportions. I could do them in another size too. Oh, and I can change the info to include your last name, a "welcomed by" line, other stats... whatever you want. Heck, you might not want any of them, and that's okay too. I just enjoyed the chance to play around with them. :)
I had to upload them to shutterfly, so they got all pixellated (how does one spell that?) - especially the first one. The white borders are just because I had to crop them differently in shutterfly otherwise they would have been cut off. They don't really have the white borders... but if you like it, I could add it.

Okay... one more because the blue hat was such a popular suggestion.

Okay... I've really got to stop playing with these.
#5 in colour. (remember, the white border is not part of it)

You rock, Sarah!! They all look really great. Hmmm...I'm between these 2:

And I like the white border around them, actually. Sarah - will the quality be better if you email them back to me versus me copying them from here?
Anyone care to vote on one over the other? (It also might come down to me picking by how well one prints over the other.)

Thanks for noticing. :awink:

I can add one if you like. Would you like your last name on them, or not?

I think so. I don't actually know much about that kind of thing.
Anyone care to vote on one over the other? (It also might come down to me picking by how well one prints over the other.)
I think the first one you posted would come out better simply becuase the picture seems to be of a higher quality.
What size are you planning to print them?

I think I like the 2nd one better, but they are both really good!!

Do like Sarah did and have them both so people fight over collecting them. :)
