a little history ... we live in a 50 year old ranch style house ... it was originally one of two dozen custom built homes in our neighborhood ... thankfully ... we are only the third owner ... and the second owner lived here for years ... as such ... the original style of the house remains in tact ...

the two bathrooms that we are working on this year ... are identical in style (same flooring and tile ... just different colors) ... the master bath must be completely redone (all tile, flooring and fixtures will be replaced) ... i have no problem with the toilet/sink/hardware ... have those all picked out ...

where i am stumped ... is the tile and flooring ... i really like what we have ... and have no problem just redoing the same thing (although a different color) ... this would allow the bathrooms to still match ... but ... since i plan on living here until i die ... and i may at sometime want to change the tile in the guest bath ... wonder about other options ...

what i am looking for are some online sources SPECIFICALLY for homes that are 50+- years old ... we have looked at other homes in our area that have periodically been remodeled ... and it definately shows where a 70's or 80's style ... was used in a 50's house ...

admittedly there is a flooring store right next to where i work ... and a tile store across the street ... so once i figure out what i want ... i can go there to see the *real thing* ... but ... i am not 100% sure what i want ... and i would like some online sources to look for ideas ...

TIA
