What pricey things has your child broken?

We bought her a $229 portable DVD player that I think will die very soon.

She has also broken 2 other DVD players and 1 CD player is hanging by a string.

I know she doesn't mean to do it, but man! We'll still have to replace stuff!

The coffee table in our family room is all but ruined because of Peyton. The top of it is soft pine and she likes to bang her toys on it and drag them across the table.

Joe hasn't broken anything major yet. He did break a toy off of Frances' exersaucer that cost $25 to replace.

Nothing major yet here either. But I think the first thing will be the DVD player.

I have several spun glass figurines that Victoria has managed to get her hands on and drop plus a ceramic Mickey that was a gift but I know it cost a lot.

Other than that she's ruined a couple of of husband's Play Station games.

Nada. Well, a VCR broke, but I think it was more b/c of its age and the sheer amt of use (rewinding!) it got

Janelle has yet to break anything, she did rip the copyright page out of a java text book because she was trying to lift it up using just that page and the book was heavy, that's it.

My Dear Son threw away @ $10,000 worth of diamond earrings and a necklace. The earrings were a gift from my mother for my wedding, made from her late husband's engagement ring to her. The matching diamond necklace was my father's engagement ring to her that she gave me when I turned 21. I turns my stomach to think about it.

I can't really pin it on him, but he likes to play around my dressing table and they were there in a box. He probably grabbed it and put in it the trash can that sits right there. Then i just emptyed the trash can w/o looking. I can't bear to tell my mother yet. I hoped to give them to my daughter (if I have one) one day.

Austin: one VCR ($120), Xbox controller ($40 new)

Jackson: satellite remote ($40+)

Nothing too expensive (yet)...but still annoying to replace.

Emma stepped on one of our laptops one too many times, and broke the screen. It was starting to go anyway, though.

Well - I think Carson lost one of my diamond earrings. I had them both in a little ceramic dish on top of my vanity. I completely forgot they were in there. He knocked the whole thing off of my vanity, spilling all of my jewelry on the floor. I picked up as much as I could find, still not realizing my earrings were part of the mess.

Months later, and many vacuumings, I found one under my bed and realized what had happened. I've only got one diamond earring and heaven forbid DH find out. He gave them to me only 2 years ago. :( I'm still hoping that I find it when we move, but I highly doubt it.

2 VCRs, lots of toys and books? It's their books that bug me the most but they aren't doing it intentionally so I try not to get too mad.

Also lots of CD's - dropped, scratched, etc. to the point of no repair.

The lense on my hubby's new Canon Rebel digital camera... about $150-$175... my hubby flipped out about that one since the camera was pretty new... thank goodness it was only the lense!!
And yes, most of our furniture has that distress look to it but with another baby coming we're not about to replace them... not quite yet!
