We're doing a car theme for Ian's birthday. I thought it would be great if I could get a picture of him in my aunt's Mustang and have a photo cake made. Unfortunately, none of the pics came out great, but I could just get one made to match the invites. Which pic should we use?
Picture #1

There are more pictures of Ian with the Mustang, but those really are the best 2. If you want to see them, let me know and I'll post them. :)
TIA!

Where are the photos suppoed to go?
My problem is that since the pictures are so big and Ian so small, I fear you either won't be able to see Ian or crop the picture and then not see the car.
How about taking a picture of him sitting at the wheel of the car? A close up?

I agree with Nadine. The photos are so dark as well. I choose match to invite #2 because of all of its colours & the car on the top. :)

The picture will go on top of the cake. They print on a special, edible kind of paper and it goes on the cake and kind of melds in with the frosting. I tried to get a picture of him sitting at the wheel, but he was not cooperating. I thought about cropping it, but then you lose the car part.

I would use #1 and crop it a bit since you can't really tell it is a Mustang from the picture anyway. You can tell it is a car in general though, even with the crop.

I love the photo cakes! We just had that Wiggles one done and it turned out great!
What better than to have your son's picture on the cake! I'd crop #1 just a bit (#2 you can see under the wheel well ).
Then have them do it up with bright blue, yellow and red icing!

Theresa, I sharpened the pictures up a bit for you. I really like #1. If you need it cropped or anything let me know.

If you're going to do a photo cake, I'd do the first pic.

I like the one of him in the car  It looks great brightened up :aok: You could probably crop it just a little so that his face is bigger on the cake - his face is so cute, it should be the focus;) I also like the second cake kit, but that's obvious, since we used it for Jory's bday :)

I think the first one would be so sweet!

Hard decision, they are both cute but I think the one with him in the car would be better for the cake picture :)

Thanks for the opinions, Everyone! :) Keep 'em coming!
I cropped the first one. What do you all think? Note: I know it's blurry, but this is just a digital image I got from snapfish. When I get the actual print, it will be clearer.
