I'm having Michaels first Bday on October 15th. It's mostly family, and some friends. I need game ideas. It may be cold, or it could be warm  there may be up to 15 kids from ages 1-9  The "theme" is frogs, but I'm thinking of doing halloween treat bags, good idea or not? I also need appitizer type recipes. TIA:)

Not sure about games. Maybe some sort of hopping game, since you're doing frogs as the theme.
Food: I love finger foods; veggie platter, chip and dip, chips and salsa, maybe some wings (I have a great recipe for teriyaki wings, if you're interested), little hot dogs wrapped in dough. :lick: Now I'm getting hungry!
Treat bags: I don't, personally, like the idea of Halloween bags. It's his birthday. Not Halloween. I'm really sensitive abou this ever since I had a daughter born 5 days before Christmas!

I think you should stick with frog stuff, too and not go with Halloween gift bags.
I know there are gummies shaped like frogs, plus the plastic frogs that you press and they jump. Maybe you could even find tiny plastic flies and throw them in (yes, I have bought these before, so I know they are available). Although they wouldn't be good for the littlest kids.
What about buying socks (green ones if you can find them, or white ones and dye them green) then buying some foam craft supplies and let everyone decorate their own frog hand puppet? All the kids would enjoy that.
I'm terrible with appetizer ideas!!

I agree. My birthday is Christmas Eve and I hate it when people combine the two (well I did when I was younger, doesn't bother me so much now). My biggest peeve is when I get birthday gifts wrapped in Xmas paper. Great way to tell a child that they're not important enough to buy different gift wrap :( (sorry totally going of on a rant there while agreeing not to combine birthday and halloween!)
I use the birthday party ideas site that Shel posted all the time. I've gotten some great decoration and games ideas from there :)

I've made it very clear to friends and family that they better NEVER do this to Ellie! :angrywife
