I have had a heck of a time getting Cass to clean her room :tearhair: I swear I have never seen a messier room ( and I clean homes for a living so I have seen alot! lol) clothes all over the floor, garbage can overflowing, ton's of "stuff" on her dresser and all those posters she taped up:eek:
so is your teen/pre room messy, tidy?
do you clean it?
will your teen let you anywhere near their room? mine won't lol

I gave my daughter the master bedroom in our 2bd/2ba apartment so I could just shut the door and not even think about it. Most of the time I can't even walk into her room, and honestly I don't have any reason to go in there. She wants a puppy or kitten so I told her that as soon as she kept her room clean for 4 months in a row without me reminding her to clean it I will consider it. That was almost 2 years ago!
I won't let her tape anything to the walls so she has hundreds of thumbtacks holding up posters, pictures from calendars and magazines, and other stuff on her walls and the ceiling. It doesn't look as bad as I'd thought, but there is very little visible wall showing. The apt manager told me as long as it's really thumbtacks there will be no charge.
Her bathroom is probably gross but I don't know. I haven't been in there in weeks. She has cleaner so I can only hope!
The one thing she is very good about is cleaning up the food and personal hygiene waste. I'm not at all concerned that she has moldy dishes or other nasty garbage.

I would suggested that everytime you ask her to clean her room she has to give you a quarter or dime or something and when you don't have to ask her to then you give her the quarter or dime or something and then when it adds up to something then that may will teach her about keeping it clean and really wanting that money for something that she really wants like a CD or make-up

My 13 yr old daughter's room is ( are you ready for this ?) Clean ..but only because we had company this past weekend. Normally her room would be such a mess that I can't stand to even open the door.
I get her to clean it by saying I am getting a trash bag and anything I find on the floor goes in the trash ..also, anything shoved under the bed.She has a fit when I turn on the vacuum !!!! She's like a crazy cat !! LOL

Alright...am I going to be the only one who says this??? :)
Jennifer's room is clean as a whistle - because I clean it. I can't handle the room dirty at all, so I vacuum in there every day and pick up what I can. I think she has actually inherited my neat freakiness as I will see her tidying up her desk or dresser or closet at various points during the week..

I have 2 teenaged sisters and both of their rooms are a COMPLETE mess! Clothes everywhere, shoes and pocketbooks, everywhere. If you try to sit on the bed you will more than likely crush an object. The youngest of the 2 has posters and cut outs from magazines and calendars plastered all over the wall so you can barely see what color the paint is or the carpet for that matter. My parents bedroom is on the 1st floor and my 2 sisters have the 2nd floor to theirselves with a bathroom and I know for a fact that neither my mother or father bother to even venture up the stairs.....
