I'm making invitations for Harry's 4th birthday party which is a Toy Story theme. I have a picture of Woody, Jessie and Buzz but am struggling with the wording. At the moment I have:

Calling all Cowboys, Cowgirls and Space Rangers!

Come and help Harry celebrate his 4th birthday!

Saturday 3rd Sep 05
3-5.30pm
@ Our House

RSVP 29 Aug - phone number

I've been trying to make it more "toy storyish" by using wording from the movies, but everything I think that everything I wrote sounds cheesy :dunno: I toyed with "Woody's rounding up a posse of friends to help Harry celebrate his 4th birthday" or "Come and party to Infinity and beyond!" What do you think? Do they sound really stupid or does anyone have other suggestions? Thanks!

I like all your ideas Clare. They sound original but with the theme feel.

I like the one you have written out the best.

Oh I like that! I think that's what I'll use. Thanks :)

I'm thinking of writing "Hope you had a Toyriffic time!" on the thankyou notes - too corny??

Maia's 2nd birthday party had a Toy Story 2 theme. I can't remember for sure, but I think the invites said something about a "Rootin' tootin' party that's out of this world." Karri had a Buzz party for Aidan last year, but that was just Buzz so I don't think the wording would fit for yours... not that I can remember that exact wording either.

If there's ever a time in life when you get to be corny, it's on kids invites and thank you's, so I think it's perfect.

I have a legion of minions at the office who all happen to be art directors... so if you need any graphics or anything, let me know. :victory:

Well it was actually yesterday here! It actually hasn't gone too badly. There's only one that I haven't heard from although I did have to chase up two of the other mothers

Thanks everyone :)

Jen - believe me, I'm not crafty in the slightest  I steal ideas off the net and then try my best to duplicate them

Bridget - you're more then welcome but you'd better get on a plane now if you want to make it in time

Nichole - thanks! I hope it goes well too. I tend to put way too much effort into my kids' parties and then am disappointed when the guests don't appreciate it
