Janelle August 4th, 2005, 01:29 PM This is my first cycle taking clomid and went in for my CD12 ultrasound today to measure the follicles. How many follicles should be expected after taking clomid?
The tech said that she saw 2 that measured good and 1 that was small. I am grateful that there are 2 and am waiting to hear from the doctor when we will be going in for IUI, but I was just thinking that with the clomid there would be more than 2?!
Ana975 August 4th, 2005, 01:59 PM 2 is great! With clomid and IUI, they usually don't want you to produce more than 4 follicles so you are doing really well!

schwanda August 4th, 2005, 02:51 PM I'm currently pregnant after an injection cycle where I made only 2 follicles. GOOD LUCK!

The doctor called and said to do the HcG injection tonight and scheduled IUI for tomorrow and Saturday. I am really excited! It just feels good to be doing something for once, instead of just charting and temping!

Janelle August 9th, 2005, 02:44 PM Thanks everyone. I am just here in the 2WW at this point. The injection wasn't that bad. The IUIs were a little uncomfortable but not awful. And now I just wait... the waiting is the worst part!!

Janelle August 10th, 2005, 09:04 AM I go for a progst test on Friday and then Aug 19th for PG test! I have been reading about how the HcG trigger will give false positive results on a home PG test so I am hoping I will not obsess and will wait until the 19th for the doctor's results.
Janelle August 16th, 2005, 04:14 PM Just an update, the Progst test came back at 13 and the nurse said that was a good number. I have read though that with a medicated cycle it should be 15 or higher, so I am not sure. I have had some cramping today and am really trying hard to keep my hopes up. I am scheduled for the PG test on Friday, but now I don't think I will make it til then.
Jeni August 16th, 2005, 04:39 PM good luck, my exSIL is going thru this right now, and I'm trying to read up on it as I have NO idea. I think she had like 5 follicles, is that bad????
