:bullhorn: ok, AP parents out there... how do you keep your kids safe in the bed when they get to that age where they're all over the place??? My 1yo DS#2 moves around a lot while he's sleeping and I'm usually a light sleeper so I'll wake up enough to "fix" where he's at. But the other day I woke up to him tossing & turning perilously close to the edge of the foot of the bed and it scared the crap out of me.:errr: We live in the country and all sorts of bugs and worms find their way in our home and wander around our floor, so putting the bed on the floor isn't an option at the moment. Any ideas or advice?

Hi! The only thing I have for "safety" is a bed rail on Jackson's "side" of the bed. He's a travellor as well (seriously all over the place in our king size bed!). If I wake up and he's somewhere near the edge of the bed, I just put him back at the top. He has fallen off the edge many times...not fun!

When Alex was a baby we put her in between us. Since the new baby is still waking up during the night we are in 2 different beds for now. Alex sleeps in her own bed - one side is against the wall and one of us on the other. William has one of us one side and pillows on the other to prevent roll-offs.

We have Heather in tthe middle between us. I also put a big pillow at the foot of the bed between us, but I tend to kick it off. We also used to put the crib mattress on the floor at the foot of the bed for our son, but we are using her crib right now also, so we can't do that.

When Cole was sleeping on the side of the bed, we used a bed rail. Then he slept between us. But for naps, when there was no bed rail, we just used lots of pillows.
