Some friends of ours just lost their six month old twins this week. They are having a memorial which will include a slideshow. Can anyone here recommend songs to be played during the slideshow? I'm at a loss.......

  Oh that is so sad. I am so sorry for your friends losses.
I love the words to Josh Groban's "To Where You Are"
Who can say for certain
Maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me
Your memories so clear
Deep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration
Can it be(?)
That you are mine
Forever love
And you are watching over me from up above

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile to know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

Are you gently sleeping
Here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing
All power can't be seen

As my heart holds you
Just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me everyday
'Cause you are mine
Forever love
Watching me from up above

And I believe
That angels breathe
And that love will live on and never leave

Fly me up
To where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

I know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

When my sister gave birth to her still-born daughter my mom played Pacabel's Cannon in D.

I guess it all depends on how religious/what religion they are too.

:bawl: What a sad but beautiful story, if that makes sense.
After reading their story it seems obvious that they are Christians and I will think more about songs that will be appropriate.

Sounds of Silence, Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon and Garfunkel
My Heart Will go On - Celine Dion

:bawl: What a sad and beautiful story.

I immediately thought of Tears in Heaven...
Or what about "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong?

OMG! This family is here in San Antonio where I live. I have cried and prayed for them since the day those beautiful girls were born. I had even saved all the newspaper articles. I just threw them alway because I knew the girls were at peace now! I was in total amazment reading about how that wonderful mom brought in her pumped breast milk for the girls to eat. What an amazing family and I know that God will be there for them through all of this.
I hope they know that the city of San Antonio had their babies and them in our prayers everyday!! :bighug:

I think the songs that were listed above are great.

I read the entire website and I'm so sorry to hear about these special little babies. They were absolutely gorgeous. What a blessing to have spent six months with those precious little girls.
