Avatars

Subscribers are welcome to have avatars if they choose to. There are some guidelines that need to be followed:

1) Image must be of the subscriber.
2) Image must be a single, still image. Animations are not allowed.
3) Image may be no larger than 80x80 pixels.

Members with avatars that do not fit with these guidelines will be ask to remove/change their avatar. If the member fails to comply, the avatar will be removed.

Just a question, not trying to be a pain... I'd love to post a picture of my baby as my avatar (which I've done on other sites so I happen to have it in the appropriate size.) Why is it that this is not allowed?

Susan-- sorry its taken me so long... I didn't see this post.

Basically, the reason is that the majority prefers to see the members' pictures as opposed to anything else. If there was a change in what most people wanted, the guideline would change to reflect that.
