Let's get this party started! :woo:
1.)What do you guys think of the new lines? (Romantic Garden, Wild West, and Petting Zoo?
QOTD: What old lines or pieces (old meaning not in stores any more) are you trying to track down on Ebay or the loops?

Thanks.
I'm not feeling the love from RG either. And Petting zoo, while cute, has entirely TOO MUCH white/cream! Laundry nightmare!!!!

So far, I'm only liking this for Avery:
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140003385?$240x305$ http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140002843?$240x305$
I'm hoping they add a few more l/s tops in RG baby girl. Right now, it's just a onesie and a few sweaters. :dunno: It doesn't seem like there is much in the way of warmer stuff, although I know this is a transitional line.

I'm here!
For some reason I can't see the first 6 pieces in RG. :dunno: But from what I do see, I'm not feeling the love. I DO like the style of these skirts though:
http://gymbohaven.com/romant7.jpg I think they're cute!
And as for Petting Zoo, I can't see most of the pics. Only a couple at the end. :dunno: ETA: as I check again, I am able to see a little more pics at a time. I'm sure in a couple hrs. or so I'll be able to see all the pics I can't see now.
Pieces I'm looking for are:
~ Thanks to Karri I'll be getting the BP romper soon, for Angelina! :yippee: So no more looking for me. And I'll hopefully get Bretta's for Ang for next year!
~ Surf Girl. Looking for Angelina for next year, and shorts or the capris for Alexia (I got her the halter top & that's all she has).
I'm sure I'll be looking for more stuff like Tropical Pineapple for Ang so she can match her sister (Alexia has a TP knock off)..... and other stuff too as I think of them

Where can I find some pictures?
Bretta, at gymbohaven.com :)

I'm not sure about RG yet. :dunno: Who knows how I'll feel about it in person but I hope I like it or Chelsea Girl since I have 6 Gymbucks to use.
I'm IDSO this from ABL...

I know that nobody really liked this line but I loved this particular dress and was able to get it for Peyton, relatively cheap, a few months ago and now I want it for Lindsey so I can have their 3 year and 1 year pictures done together.

Exactly! I love them! I bet I get Alexia both of those gathered skirts with a top (and of course some stockings or knee high socks too  )
I really, really LOVE the colors...but some of the flowers are a bit much. Oh well....maybe I'll be in love with the next line. :)

I like RG a lot- some of the flowers ARE a bit over the top- but that's what Isabelle likes :) (and she looks good in them, so who am I to argue  ) Those are definitely our colors too...
Not crazy about petting zoo (although the little sheep plush is cute...but we don't need more stuffed animals! :) )

hrm...i am not feeling the love for RG or WW. I was hoping I'd like WW for Aidan, but it seems to babyish? Maybe in person. Hopefully the next line :crossfing
I am not actively on the hunt for anything...right now. But come fall, I am sure I will be perusing ebay for more DW.

July 5th, 2005, 11:58 AM
I myself am lovin' the Wild West and Petting Zoo line for boys!!! But then my husband is a cowboy so him and Daddy will look good together!!! :)
I like some of RG, I might get Maggie one or two things from there but the majority of my gymbuck $$ will be going towards the boys lines.
Does anyone know- will they be doing a % off sale during gymbuck redemption on the new lines?
Bridget
July 5th, 2005, 12:02 PM
I'm not going to be able to resist buying this PZ stuff at full price. I wish they'd post more lines. I'm getting tired of waiting for Gymbo (and the other online stores I haunt) to come out with all the fall and winter stuff.

I've managed to get 4 Gymbucks so far (from buying things my kids really don't need  )
Just took a look at the new stuff. Not feeling it.
The colors are actually the same as what we got from H&M last fall so to me it doesn't look "new." I did make me wonder though  since H&M is a European company that they will be more ahead of Gymbo when it comes to the new stuff. My sister used to buy a lot of H&M in Europe and she would bring styles I've never seen before and then they all start showing up in the US.
Hoping that I'll like this stuff more IRL AND hoping also :crossfing for chelsea girl.

There's never a sale during redemption. Redemption is "the sale." You might get a sale in between earning and redemption, if you are lucky. Depends on how things are selling. I hear the numbers are big for this Thursday, so I'm hoping for an extra % off entire purchase this weekend. I want more TP and why not earn a gymbuck while buying it?

Haven't looked at the new lines in any great detail, but will probably stop by Gymbo today to take a peek... We love purple in this house, but I was looking at my stockpiles and truly need nothing for fall...
#2... Always getting more and more SSDD... always looking for select pieces in select sizes of a true oldie: Winter Sparkle: circa 2002... Other than that, not too much these days.

I like some RG, but have to look more at the pics online. I haven't checked out PZ yet really, or the boys lines....but I have 4 Gymbucks so I'm sure I'll be buying some of it during redemption. From what I did see I wish there were more "fall" pieces; we have enough s/s shirts!!
As for the other question.....I was IDSO the older Poppies overalls, but won them on ebay last week with a red WW l/s top for like $8!!!
http://gymbohaven.com/Valent73.jpghttp://gymbohaven.com/03whal164.jpg
I also was searching for the floral dress from WW, but just bought it on ebay in 2T. So...that sort of satisfied my craving for it although Katie won't be able to wear it for quite awhile! I am also looking for the floral pants....I guess for next spring at this point, so either 12-18 or 18-24 months:
http://gymbohaven.com/03whal134.jpg
I am kind of liking the WW line now, so I'm always looking for pieces of that for a good deal. :)

As for old lines, I think I'd like some poppies or, for a trip in the Wayback Machine, I'd LOVE to find some Oodles of Poodles! That was one of our very first Gymbo outfits, and I loved it just because it was so girly and feminine and cute looking.

July 5th, 2005, 02:06 PM
Kim, that's just it, WW *is* season-less! Plus its great once you start just being sick of pink, pink, pink!
Well, CRAP. I looked closer at RG and I love too much of it! Mostly stuff that we DON'T need right now like the cropped pants and s/s shirts but if I bought all I wanted at full price it'd be over $300!! (Although I'd earn 6 Gymbucks...) I may get this stuff at redemption if I can get sizes for this fall/winter:

Off to check out the new lines in depth.....
Oh, BTW, the CAAB outfit I got for Ash off of Ebay doesn't fit :blue: What would you suggest? Sell it here, re-ebay it? Or maybe contact the seller? But I don't want to piss her off.

I saw alot of cute stuff from the cowboy line that I think I like. I just wish there was more in Kid Boy as Jordan is the one that needs clothes  I like the tractor line alot too!
Oh, the decisions.... I have a bunch of Gymbucks, but I guess I need to weed through even more of what I have stocked up for Blake to justify what I want

well crud - i was looking at baby boy Wild West. Now I looked at Kid Boy and I like it. However, its all short sleeve :( That is not what I need. Damn.
I do like Petting Zoo, however, I am resisting buying for Miss N. Plus its too summery.

July 5th, 2005, 06:51 PM
I love Petting zoo but I agree it is too summery. We don't need anymore summr clothes Sme of the piece
I like some of the RG pieces but I wish they had more BG shirts with long sleeves. Without seeing them IRL these are my initial picks:

I like the look of this dress but find it too summery

Also without a doubt, I will buy some of the leggings. I love leggings and swing tops in Fall. :)
I love the new sleepline. I could get it all. Luckily, Emma isn't in nightgowns yet.

Sorry if I bid against someone here - I didn't have time to check who I was bidding against! I just won this:

Love that warmup suit, Anne - what line is it? Caroline looks awesome in those dark colors.
And I think you should post your Christmas dresses here again since you posted them just before the other thread was closed. Just because I snapped one up doesn't mean someone else won't want the other!

I think my favorite line was A Walk in the Woods, but there's so many cute ones! I'm a bit partial to bunnies and purple. I really can't bring myself to pay full price, so I wait until things go into deep discount. But, by that time, I don't get everything I wanted.

Anne, I got outbid on the velour warm-up. :( It was Glamour Kitty, and had the leopard print down the side of the pants. So cute! I got outbid by one bid, but who knows how far they'd have been willing to go. So, I'll have to keep my eyes open for it again later.
I put a thread in B/S/T for the silver one, but just in case you all miss it, I have this Prim and Proper dress, NWT, in a size 5. Asking $20, including priority shipping.

I don't have any of the DW at all in 12-18, but I'm always happy buying it from a OUAL'er, when I have the money. That's why I'm getting a very part time job. :) I'm thinking Ava would probably be better in 18-24 though.

Anne, I can't believbe Katie is what, a size 6???? How tall is she? And what are you feeding her? Although, you're tall like me, right?
Col, she's really a 5 on top, and a 5/6 on bottom, depending on the bottoms. For things like jeans and twill pants that have no give, or like the DW reversible skirt, she needs the extra room of a 6. But for things that are a little stretchy (like the terry shorts, bike shorts, leggings, etc.), she's more of a 5 on bottom. She needs the length in dresses, though!
She's about 42" tall (we measure her every time we go to Six Flags, and she gets on the 42" minimum height rides, but I think she might be helped by about half an inch by her shoes...) and about 42lbs, so she's definitely a big girl! And I'm only 5'8" (although I swear I used to be 5'9" :dunno: ) but Phil is 6'1" and I believe my bio dad was about 6'4", so she comes by her height honestly.

As if I wasn't demented enough, this site has helped push me over the edge. I plot my next trip to Gymbo like I'm getting a fix. Here's a few pics of my kids - my daughter looks like a blob in the SW shot, but I finally had to take what I could get, bottle and all. The shot of her in the zebra onesie is when she was firstborn and still in a preemie size. Now she's two months and moving into 3-6 month!!!!

Thanks ladies! IS was one of those lines I kicked myself for not buying when it came out, so I was pleased to find so much of it in Katie's size, listed by the same seller, last night. I love the colors, too! Colleen, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has done that! Katie has a friend (who is 4 and a half and the same size as Katie...) whose mom might be interested in the extra IS skirt. Otherwise, expect to see it listed here on B/S/T soon.
THANK GOD that will all be coming to me in one package, too. This week, I have the Babystyle play kitchen stuff, a SJC purchase, the sunflowers dress and all of this IS stuff coming - DH is going to have a FIT when he sees all these packages!

I am so mad at myself. I found the Candy Apple "Make A Wish" shirt on ebay last night NWT with a $6.99 BIN and put it on my watch list to buy in the morning (although I realized it could get scooped up overnight). I am too late as usual for the DW wishes stuff! I found what I want on e-bay but I'll have to pay more than I wanted as the items are in lots...and I'll egt a duplicate of some things I already have. Should I bid on the lots and then resell the dups? What do you think?
AahRee

I'm still getting caught up.
That was one of my big in search ofs too, but I just got it and the jeans on ebay this weekend! Now I'm still looking for the goldfish bowl t's...I think I want both long and short sleeved ones. I also won the alphabet soup sweater dress just recently. I still really really really want the snow angels white sweater dress...but I've yet to see it pop up in any size we could use, 18-24 would be best, but I guess 3/3t would work since it was before 2t. I think that and the black janie and jack about town hat are my biggest iso's right now...but really any recent longsleeved dress...

What are replens?
Jillian
July 7th, 2005, 09:22 AM
replens are when Gymboree puts some older line items up on their website....replenishments... You have to get them QUICK before they sell out.
I forgot, I'm also still in search of a bunch of the sock monkey and friends stuff...I really really really want the monkey stuff (I have the striped romper, coat, and onesie) but I also want the lion stuff (I have the striped romper and the fleece overalls).
Jeni
July 7th, 2005, 09:39 AM
I really want the striped Monkey romper, what size do you have Jillian, and when will you be willing to sell it? It's never on ebay in the size I need. Also, if you decide to sell that Route 66 outfit you bought from Julie, I'm interested. Or any batter up.

In the last two weeks I have bought all of this at RHDS!!! It's all for Ahna for next year. They were unpacking the new lines, but only a couple things were out. Resisted the urge to snoop in the boxes at the back of the store.
http://www.gymbohaven.com/hometo2.jpghttp://www.gymbohaven.com/tropic47.jpghttp://www.gymbohaven.com/tropic109.jpghttp://www.gymbohaven.com/babyke28.jpg
http://www.gymbohaven.com/wildfl22a.jpghttp://www.gymbohaven.com/bonjou94.jpg
And a purse (which my friend jokingly said, "yes, every two month old needs a purse.")!!
http://www.gymbohaven.com/wildfl8.jpg
Plus a BP blanket, matching charms ...and about 15 pairs of socks (sock fetish), several of which I've discovered are duplicates. OH WELL.
Now I can spend all winter buying the coordinates on ebay. :ura1:
Julie
July 7th, 2005, 11:14 AM
Jeni - The striped monkey romper runs huge, huge! Blake has it in 18-24 months and when I tried it on him, I had to do alot of sleeve and leg rolling. So you might be able to get it in a smaller size than you thought.
As far as winter 12-18 months, I have some Dig Dig, Red Baron, Holiday Magic, Junior Cowboy, WITW, and Cote Francaise. I am sure there are others, but not sure exactly what.
Are you looking for anything besides sweaters?
Jillian - I am getting closer to maybe letting my Monkey sweater and jeans go, I just don't want to regret it  If I do sell it, you will be the first on my list.

As if Spring Fun doesn't look like it has exploded at my house- I've got so many pieces of this line and I continued to buy some more. Lauryn's preschool started their Water Fun days and they go to school in swimsuits 2x a week. So I got this NWT from ebay:
http://www.gymbohaven.com/sumrai28.jpg
Last week I got the matching towel and the sunglasses. We already have the bag.
I must stop this Spring Fun madness! I've got so much of this pattern that I"m hoping I don't one day just get tired of all of it.
Lauryn is wearing this today:

GQOFD:
What line do you have the most pieces of? How did you end up with so many?
My answer: Spring Fun, followed by Giraffe Club (which really wasn't even one of my favorites but I kept finding pieces on the clearance racks!)

I probably have the most of SSDD. I got so much SSDD because Kim got me some and I got a lot off e-bay.

Definitely SSDD... I have pieces of that line in sizes ranging from 3-6, from when Courtney was very little up to size 5 from Ebay for Caroline and tons of 18-24, 2T, 3 and 4... even a few 12-18... I love the colors in that line, so I bought quite a bit when it came out and Caroline was between sizes so I bought various sizes for her, and now I still like it more than this year's summer lines, so I picked up a ton for this summer (and beyond) on Ebay.

I won this on Ebay for 1.99... it is an old line (Nov. 2001), but the leggings are the ones that have been Caroline's favorites since before she was even 1! She used to pick them out to wear every day, and still picks them at least once a week for herself and Court, so I am trying to pick them up in all sizes... these are 6-12, we also have 0-3, 12-18, 18-24, 2 pair in size 3 and one size 4.... My plan is to have my girls in these for YEARS if I can find sizes 5,6 & 7!!

Really I don't have a ton from any one line only about 2 outfits from each. But DW, PP, GWL are what I have the most of. Will does have quite a few pieces of Traffic Jam. For Will I am planning on getting quite a bit from Wild West and Petting Zoo.

Do you have the redbaron coveralls?, junior cowboy o'alls w/matching shirt?, holiday magic hoodie?, What is WITW?, and I cant find Cote Francaise on namethatline, do you have the lg/sl shirt in that?, Really, any hoodies, sweaters, o'alls, rompers, sweater vests. So you think 6-12 mth in the monkey romper? He fits in 6-12 now, or 9-12 with some room. Thank you.

Right now it would have to be Tropical Paradise because both girls have a few outfits for this season and a few for next season. I really liked the colors, the red, orange and black so we ended up with a lot at full price for this year and since I liked it so much I ended up getting more for next year too, hopefully I'll still love it then.

It's probably a toss up between Lemony Fresh and SSDD (for older lines) and Bonjour Provence (for newer lines).
I mainly got the LF and SSDD through an old coworker. She sold me almost all of her dd's summer clothes from last year. I purchased most of BP while I was still a Gymboree employee and had my 40% off discount.

I try and try to catch the replens, but never do.
GQOTD: I have every piece of glamour kitty in 12-18 for this winter for Kira except the black pants and the shoes. I even have hair clips and she doesn't have enough hair to wear them! This is followed by WFF, BP, and DW...I have several outfits in each of those as well.

I have a pair of PJ's from that line and two outfits, I have two outfits from SW, and one each from Strawberry Patch, PP, BP, Splash, and WFF. I think that's all I have. I found I was drawn to the bright colors in SF, and I just kept getting more outfits. Then I got the SF pajamas for dirt cheap. :dunno:

what about the dig dig overalls?
Julie
July 7th, 2005, 01:14 PM
what about the dig dig overalls?
I have already sold the Dig Dig overalls. I have the sweater and the khaki jeans.
From Junior Cowboy, I have the overalls, the all over print short sleeve onesie, the Wanted onesie, the sweater, the cord pants, and a NWT plaid shirt.
From Holiday Magic, I have the overalls, onesie, and hoodie.
From Red Baron, I hae the cuff upturn jeans (too cute) the all over airplane onesie and the sweater.
From Cote Francaise - I have the jeans and long sleeve shirt in 12-18 months, but I am going to hold onto it for a bit longer as it runs huge and I LOVE it. I have everything in 9-12 that includes the jeans, overalls, both oneises and the long sleeve shirt. This line does run big. A good transitional weight.
From Walk in The Woods - I think most of it is 9-12, but again it ran really big. I have the cords, the orange shirt, a NWT plaid button up, beige cord overalls, both onesies (these are 12-18), the zip up sweater (this might be 12-18) and the hat. This has been selling like fire on ebay in the bigger sizes, I might wait for the smaller sizes to take off a bit :)
I have in 12-18 months a hoodie and fleece pant set, I think from the In The Snow line. This runs really really big, but it is really warm and comfy.
I don't know what size Jayden is wearing, but some of the outfits I have the coordinating/matching set in 3T too.
OK - Enough of my stuff maybe looking for a new home

I'd say it's a toss up between Tiger Love and Spring Fun! :2pounds:
I bought quite a bit of TL for Alexis for this coming winter. I paid $17.99 for this dress
http://www.gymbohaven.com/ABGani65.jpg
and I had till 7/11/05 to return it (old return policy). I was on the fence because I wasn't sure if a 4 would still fit her come winter. We tried it on last night and it really depends on how much she grows. I was NOT letting that dress go to someone on RHDS for $6.99  So we're keeping it!
I also recently got this to match the velour pants.http://www.gymbohaven.com/ABGani78.jpghttp://www.gymbohaven.com/ABGani83.jpg
I ended up with so many pieces of each because I kept buying and buying. I really love those lines. Alexis does too! :love2:

I really want the striped Monkey romper, what size do you have Jillian, and when will you be willing to sell it? It's never on ebay in the size I need. Also, if you decide to sell that Route 66 outfit you bought from Julie, I'm interested. Or any batter up.
The route 66 outfit should be ready to sell by august I think...it seems like he would of outgrown 6-12 by now, but he hasn't. The striped monkey romper is 18-24...so not untill next june most likely (it was cold untill june this year) if he has outgrown it by then. We have the batter up romper (with the football on the front and it say's allstar I think) in 12-18...I figure he will outgrow it around november/december.

We have a LOT of cutie pie...as in everything but the shoes. And we have 3 pairs of the socks, 2 of the hats, and 3 bibs. It's because it hung around till rhds and I was able to get the shirts for 3.99, pants for 6.99, etc and it's dh's favorite line ever. Other than that, with the sweater dress and sweater I just won on ebay I think we have all but the shoes and a couple accesories for fox trot, and we have quite a bit of sugar cookie, rainbow sherbet, and a TON of splash, I just need to find the sunglasses, hat, and sandals and we will have all of the striped splash stuff.

i still need some 12-18 i think for early fall. i'll have to wait and see, since going on solids she is chunking up pretty fast :pig:.

Hi Robyn,
There's a TON to the board that is for subscribers. Playgroups by age of your child. A section for journals. B/S/T of course, and swaps which we have fairly regularly, etc. Lots more, too. I'm not sure how much there is for baby boy in B/S/T right now, because I don't really look for that (having an older daughter), but I think there is a TON here that is worth the value of your membership beyond just the Gymbo stuff and the B/S/T section. Also, am I right that lines for BG don't carry charms (such as DofY) - I would assume that's the case.

Right, no charms for layette lines, and BP did not have charms and as far as I can tell neither does this new line...which is sad, cause I think a humingbird charm and a flower charm would be super cute.

Ok, does your mom want to adopt any of us? I would LOVE a surprise package in the mail like that!!!

Kim - that's funny! Well, I have no room to talk. Carter has a whopping 1 swimsuit this year. Heather has about 6 I think (but they were all hand me downs or 10 cents at a garage sale. I don't have any Gymbo ones though. I do already have one for each of the kids from Gymbo for next year.

Yeah, I want to be adopted by Bridget's mom. (It's Bridget, right? I'm not 100% sure. I'm Anne, by the way! :) ) Anyway, what a neat suprise!
 About the multiple swimsuits. Katie has 4 this year, too. MIL bought her one to keep at her house  and my mom bought her 2 at Target on clearance last summer, and I bought her one (the Miami Vacation bikini) at the RHDS. I also have one for next summer already! There just isn't that much variety in the boys' swimsuits, IMO, so I can understand why your girls would need more suits than your boys.
Colleen and Jenn, I just realized your both not working at Gymbo anymore. Do you mind if I ask why? I'm always thinking that would be such a fun place to work!

Jordan actually picks out mostly swimtrunks for his summer clothes.
This is what he has...

My DS has maybe 5-6 swimsuits but its b/c he's so skinny and most of last summer's swim suits still fit him through the waist! Katie only has 2 suits, an ON one that my stepmom bought her at Easter and a WWF one (with matching hat of course).

Thanks for the compliments on Ben's Sharks.
He's got 2 gymbo suits with matching shirts, 2 Gap with matching shirts, 2 Sears with matching shirts (love these because they don't have that annoying liner!), 1 BRU matching set and 1 Flag suit I got from someone here on swap last year.
I didn't realize he had 8 suits until I just listed them now.
My daughter has quite a few too. I don't think I'm going to write all of them down. :woa:
We do use them several times a week and on Friday's at daycare they have sprinkler day, so nothing's rotting in a drawer here. :lol2:

I have a jean jacket, in 6-12 mths, and I have no idea what line it's from, it has a little scooter on the back and says little scooter I think. Anyone know what line it's from? Anyone interested in it? It's pretty unisex, I can get a picture this weekend.

Hi all. I went to Gymbo to check out RG, and I like it a lot better than I thought I would when I saw it online. I didn't get anything yet, but here's what I'll probably get once I start working there and I get an employee discount:

It's always interesting how different the clothes look online vs. in the store. I agree with Lette that the RG velour jacket is thin!
But for me that will be OK because my daycare is often 4,000 degrees. It stinks because I can't send my kids in cute sweaters because they'd sweat to death. I love the sparkly flower zipper pull it has.
By the way, my name is Bridget. I'm going to change my user ID to something a little more user friendly, like... BRIDGET.

Lette~ I think the fabrics in the line are so thin because it is a fall transition so it's meant to be light weight, around here we won't be able to wear anything that thick until at least late October! I loved the line in person, but do agree with you that it doesn't feel very fall-ish as far as thickness goes.
Amy~ Congrats on the job! You are going to have to be our insider now ;)
Lyndee~ Love the pics! My dh won't do the family matching thing again, we did Hannas once and that's all I've been able to get him to do, but it's just so cute!

You could find them in a western wear store (although, you would probably cringe in there! :) ) Also k-mart sells wrangler brand jeans for this size but they are not true western looking.
Does the hat look cute with the stiching on the front? I am thinking about it but I will have to show it to DH cause it might not be country enough for him!! :) He would probably rather have Will wear a plain cowboy hat.

Yea, we have to go home for my great grandma's birthday party next weekend (she's 100!!!, or rather she will be on the 16th) and there is a store called mill end that sells real boots and hats and my mom says they have wranglers...if not, there are 3 or 4 quality farm and fleets and they carry them as well, so I'm going to check there.
I think the hat is adorable...but it's more like a "playing dressup" type of hat, not a true cowboy hat...the boots are super cute though.
