View Full Version : Amy Knapp's Family Organizer...
Dawn July 5th, 2005, 08:43 AM Hey working Mommies! :wavey:
I put this in the SAHM thread and wanted to put it here too, as this will also benefit the working mom's too! I love my new organizer! It just came out (starts July 1 2005 through Dec. 2006). My sister got one for me and I LOVE it. I wanted to share it with you girls because it suppose to be really good for SAHMs and busy working families as well.
Here, check it out http://www.thefamilyorganizer.com/
It has a mo. at a glance and then the mo. broken up into weeks. It has a section on each weekly page for "GROCERY' list and for "Menus" which is preforated so you can just rip it out. It has a to do list on each weekly pg as well....and stickers to use if you have Dr. apts, car svc apts., something with school. I can go on and on.
I never had anything like this and am so glad that everything can be in ONE place...important phone numbers and everything else. No more of me using a million stickies for my to do's and grocery list!
You can buy them at Wal-Mart and Target and Barnes & Nobles, Walden Books & Borders.
Nichole July 5th, 2005, 10:24 AM I bought this about a month ago, too. (I think I mentioned it in a thread about organizing your time in the Life Around the House forum.) I haven't started using it yet, because the calendar started the end of June and then I just kind of forgot to transfer all of my information into it. :blush1:  It's on my to do list for this week!

Ah ok....must of missed that thread where you mentioned it. I'm glad you bought it Nichole. I really am loving this thing!!!! Now, is transferring all your info. on your to do list that's in the calander? ;)
Jenn July 5th, 2005, 10:30 AM I really want to try this. I need something to help me stay organized because I'm so bad at keeping appointments in one place. This would work well for us, I think. I have a few returns for Target so maybe I'll pick this up when I go there.
Jayne July 5th, 2005, 10:31 AM I still have my Mothersday GC for Target from here. I think I will use it this week and seek this out at Target. Is it in the books section?
Jayne
Carmen July 5th, 2005, 11:34 AM I bought it but ended up taking it back! I thought the spaces were too small to write in for daily activities, so I went to Staples and bought a calendar that has one page for each day. (It doesn't have the menus thing or the grocery list though!)
Nichole July 5th, 2005, 12:19 PM I should put it in there huh, Dawn?
I didn't see it my Target. I ended up getting it at Wal*Mart (a place I hate to patronize). Jayne, there's a section where the planners and organizers and address books are; if your store has it, that's where it would be.
Dawn July 5th, 2005, 01:55 PM I should put it in there huh, Dawn?

Anyway, if it weren't for this organizer Alexia would have went to storytime today instead of gymnastics class. :blush1: Oops! TG I double checked it.
Jayne July 13th, 2005, 02:37 PM My friend just got this for me at Boarders. We checked everywhere last week..Target, the Bookstore, walmart..and no go..then she was in Canton yesterday and found it so she got it for me. I have had it all of one day and I LOVE IT!!!
Jayne
Shanna July 13th, 2005, 03:28 PM I bought one a week or two ago and I *LOVE* it too :aok:
Dawn July 13th, 2005, 03:31 PM I'm still loving mine too! :) Now, I take it with me whenever I'm out doing errands. I just throw it in the side pocket of the diaper bag! This thing has become my bible!
Shanna July 13th, 2005, 03:33 PM Mine lives on the end of the kitchen bar  I just tear the grocery list strip out when I leave on grocery day  I also have a Planet Mom calendar on the fridge, so that helps
tuesdayswife July 13th, 2005, 03:48 PM I'll have to check this out!!! I'm going to Target after work tonight and I have to get an organizer for 2006 (already have one for 2005) so this will be GREAT!!! Thanks for the tip!!! :)
bunkie68 July 13th, 2005, 04:22 PM It sounds like a good idea. But I'm just afraid I'm so crazy disorganized that I'd forget to use it.

I have always had a planner (I guess it is something I picked up in High School) so since I knew my planner was coming to an end (school year one) I figured why not pick this up and try it out. It has everything I need and more!

bunkie68 August 3rd, 2005, 11:20 AM Jayne, I've always kept a planner, too. But it seems like I've lost most of my organizational capacity since Julian was born.

I actually have 3 planners right now! And I forget to use all of them. i'm going to try to keep up with just this one, though.
bunkie68 August 16th, 2005, 10:28 AM OK, I ordered one. :) I'll update after I've gotten it and had a chance to use it for a while!
