I just had to share....I love my new organizer! It just came out (starts July 1 2005 through Dec. 2006). My sister got one for me and I LOVE it. I wanted to share it with you girls because it suppose to be really good for SAHMs and busy families.
Here, check it out http://www.thefamilyorganizer.com/

It has a mo. at a glance and then the mo. broken up into weeks. It has a section on each weekly page for "GROCERY' list and for "Menus" which is preforated so you can just rip it out. It has a to do list on each weekly pg as well....and stickers to use if you have Dr. apts, car svc apts., something with school. I can go on and on.

I never had anything like this and am so glad that everything can be in ONE place...important phone numbers and everything else. No more of me using a million stickies for my to do's and grocery list!

This is a definite necessity for us SAHMs!

You can buy them at Wal-Mart and Target and Barnes & Nobles, Walden Books & Borders.

Dawn, I'll have to look for that, because I love that it goes for a full school year and not just the traditional Jan-Dec format. How large is it? I have a Go Mom! planner that I bought at Target late last year to use for this year that is quite handy but still fits in my purse. It only goes through Dec, so I'll need something new. I use my planner for meal planning, keeping all medical/emergency contact info handy, address book, and keeping track of my homework assignments & school deadlines. I like that the planner you linked has tear out pages for menus & grocery lists!

I got one after I saw Dawn's post (it was in another forum, too, wasn't it?).

Amy - it's kind of big. 8.5" tall by 6.5" wide, and 1" thick. It wouldn't fit in my purse but it would easily fit in a diaper bag or tote bag.

I have this...it fits nicely in my purse but I have a larger purse. I love it. I love having it handy and I am a planner to begin with. I always have it with me!

Yes, I also put it in the working paren'ts forum too. :)

Amy: Yea, depending on what size purse you carry around.....but I put it in the side pocket of the diaper bag and it fits. :) I still love this organizer!

I think it would fit in my purse just fine, as it's close to the same size as my current planner. However, I looked at the sample pages online, and there isn't as much daily space as I have now for tracking my homework, but it still might work out. Tried to find one today at WalMart, and it was a ZOO with the back to school crowd, so I'll check at Target and maybe even a bookstore.

I picked this up over the weekend, and I'm anxious to get started with it! Although, I think I'm going to buy some small stickers to use in addition for bills due and stuff.

OK, I'm really trying hard to find one here and NO LUCK!! I've been to Target, WalMart and Books a Million. Thursday I'm getting my hair done, so I'll be out without the kids and can go to Borders and maybe even Barnes & Noble. In looking at it more online and comparing the space to my current Go Mom planner, this may work out better. I really want to get it this week since I go back to school next Tuesday!

Is there a place you can really see a sample page of the planner? On the website I didn't feel I could really see much.

Amy, I bought mine at Borders. I had a hard time finding it though. They directed me towards the calendar display in the middle, however, it was on an end cap with other organizers.

I found mine at Target, and if I hadn't already started writing in it, I'd sell it to someone on here, because I just saw that they have binder-drilled versions, and I want one of those! Oh, well, it only cost $10. I might spring for the binder-drilled version (and a new binder) anyway...

:woo: SCORE!! Found it yesterday at Waldenbooks. They were all shrinkwrapped, but the clerk opened one up so I could compare it side by side to my current planner. I wish the address book was larger, and my current planner also included medical pages, home directory stuff (like utilities/insurance/important phone numbers) that this one doesn't, but I like the web directories list at the back. Even better, the store had just started a back to school sale...20% off with a valid school ID, so I saved money too! :woo:
