<HR color=#000000 SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Ok I admit it I a totally clueless on what to do on a playdate. A few of David's friends at school keep begging for a play date and well I haven't scheduled one. To be quite honest I have no idea what to do. Am I supposed to go to the friends house and hang with the mom? Do I just drop him off? Do we meet somewhere at a local park? Please help!! David and his friends are begging for this "play date". It has gotten to the point that one little girl Victoria is stalking me everytime I drop off or pick up David. Please clue me in!!! I feel like such a moron!!

I think that when the kids are younger the moms both stay but when they are older, the moms reciprocate hosting/dropping off. If you are uncertain about how the mom wants to work it, either call her and ask or suggest the playdate is at your house first and follow the other mom's lead! :aok:

Since David is 3 1/2 it is completely up to you if you want to stay or leave. Call the other mom and see what she feels most comfortable with. I've had Katie involved in play dates at my house, at her friend's house, and at a local park/playcenter. I just arranged it with my friend.

If you are going to a park, I'd stick around, but if you are going to the other parent's house, it may be a good idea to stick around the first few times (just to make sure she isn't a psycho lol). See what your comfort level with the other parent is and then go with how you feel for the rest of the playdates.
