Aidan is currently obsessed with being a "rescue guy" of any sort. It can be a police officer or an "ambulance man" but mainly it's a firefighter. We got him a nice fire outfit a few months ago, and he wears it constantly. It's like this:

So you can see, it's fairly complete...but apparantly not enough for Aidan. Because, you know, when the firefighters go in to the fire, they have to wear a special mask for helping them breathe. So Aidan improvised...with a plastic bag. :owow: I about died when I saw this...and who knows how many times he'd done it before I caught him. It took a lot for me to convince him why that won't work for the fireman's mask, but in his crazy little imaginery world, this IS the fire mask that the real firemen wear. How freakin scary.
My mom is a nurse and can get a surgical mask which I hope works for him. I do try to keep all of the plastic bags out of reach, but I think this one came from the pantry closet and he emptied the crackers to get to it. (We have the door covers on there, but he can get past those.)
I guess I'm just posting this to share my horror but perhaps as a cautionary tale too. Egad!
