Anyone been? I'm going on a cruise in a few weeks and we're going to Freeport and Naussau. What are some can't miss things to see? I've read about the Straw Market right on the pier. I've also heard about the International Market but it sounds like that is at least a cab ride away. Is it worth the trip? What are some other things? WHat are the best things to shop for there? Thanks for any advice! :)

We've been to both Freeport and Nassau. I wasn't that impressed with Freeport and it rained a lot when we stayed there so can't help you with that. We did go on a dolphin encounter trip in Freeport that was really fun. Nassau had pretty decent shopping but I'd skip that and go to Paradise Island instead!

I really love the Atlantis Resort and been meaning to escape over there one of these days. When we went on our cruise, they had a Blue Lagoon excursion. It was okay. See Atlantis!

Atlantis Resort - it was AWESOME! :aok: You can take a taxi for $6 from the port.

I've to Nassau on our cruise and I also wasn't impressed. I think the only impressive place in the Bahamas is Paradise Island. If you are going on a cruise though you aren't going to have much time to spend there. Ours didn't anyway. Just a few hours.
