Hello, ladies

Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I've been reading this forum for a few months now and it's helped me sort through a lot of information (thanks!)

I was hoping that you can help me answer a question. I was wondering, especially for those who have/had trouble conceiving, have you tried what seems to be a slew of alternative fertility remedies? What I mean by that is vitamins, nutrition, herbs, accupuncture, and so on? Is this something that you tried before taking Clomid? Has it helped?

Sorry to go straight into the question mode. I've been trying for about five months and have long cycles, so I'm trying to figure out what the options are.

I didn't try "alternative" therapy before clomid b/c I knew that I didn't ovulate. I did, however, do acupuncture during my (successful) IVF cycle.

I didn't try any alternative treatments althought I would have most likely tried nutrition. The herbs path worried me. Accupuncture I have heard good things about on some boards although it's time intensive and expensive. I have long cycles too and went to Clomid this month.

I'm sorry, Masya, I didn't see this until now (I'll sub to the thread now) Post BCP some of my cycles were normal length, but annovulatory. Then the long ones were sometimes 60 days, up to 80 days, and ovulatory at the end. I had at least 3 of those long cycles before starting Clomid - I can't find my charts right now.
