It's always fun to see this type of thread from time to time. What's your toddler's favorite toy right now?

One big thing in our house now is these blocks. We've had them for more than a year, but they've only gotten noticed in the last month. Mainly they just like building and knocking down towers, but I'm really working on Aidan with numbers and Colin with colors at the same time. :silly:

At this very moment, Alex's favorite toy is a hand me down Barbie VW bug. We saw some friends last weekend and their little girl told Alex he could have it since she didn't play with it anymore (she is 6). My DH had issue with it at first, but I convinced him since it was yellow, no one would know it was for a Barbie. He's been carrying it around all week.

Maia's - Art stuff... Play-doh, stickers, chalk, scissors, etc.
Cole's - books and blocks (MegaBloks and Pop-Onz)

ETA: Both really like Rubbermaid type containers. They wear the food ones on their feet as skates. They wear the bigger ones (that I bought to store toys in, silly me!) on their heads as hats.

At the moment (and for some time now), John's favorites are a set of wooden coasters we have, and this:

With both, he likes to spin the coasters (or disks) on any hard surface (coffee table, kitchen floor, etc.). Odd boy, my child.

Ethan loves the Litte People's Noah's Ark. He could play with it all the time and we amazingly still have all the pieces, lol! He also likes lego (I hate it!! I always step on rogue pieces) and anything Shaylee is playing with

OMG - all 3 of my kids do this  WHY? Out of all the toys, WHY?

Aidan: puzzles, books, art & crafts, play-doh (i hate play-doh!)

Elliott: blocks, or anything he can stack, really (wooden blocks, megablocks, stacking cups, peek-a-blocks)

Norah: trucks

David loves to play with his hotwheels, monster trucks, Spiderman and accesories. He loves to play with puzzles but I need to get more. When he is outside he loves to ride his bike or drive his jeep. If we are doing yard work he gets his gloves out and helps rake and bag. He's so fun at this age and has a great imagination!

Play doh, which she calls squish.

She even regularly holds it up and says "mom-dad dis is danelles FAVORITE toy, I loves it".

ETA: I don't think I will ever admit that Kincaid is a toddler...he is still a baby!

Kincaid's favorite toys are cars, my little ponys, and janelle's fairytopia neclace, we bougt him his own (blue instead of pink, not that this is any less girly...but it was easy to tell apart.) and he still only wants janelle's.

This totally sounds like my godson. He just turned 4.

Alexia's favorite indoor toy is probably her princess dress up stuff from the earrings down to the shoes & everything in between.

Her favorite outdoor toy is the sand and water activity center made by Step2:

Riley, thanks to her brothers, is very into Pokemon cards  Not that she really knows anything, but she lays them out, picks them up, stacks them, pretends to play card games with them. Drives me BANANAS!!!!

oh shoot...i forgot about outside.....
outside, Aidan is all about his dump truck, loader, and a gardening spade. he digs up part of the yard, puts it in his loader, dumps it into the dump truck, and carts it over to another part of the yard where he dumps. he will do this for hours. it doesnt please chris that he digs up the woodchips and gets them in the lawn

Norah is obsessed with the slides, and Elliott loves balls!

Right now...it's a toss up between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and of all things...Michael Flatley's Lord of The Dance DVD. Jacob watches this DVD religiously...it's incredible. I am not much help as I also have the CD of songs...which is the ONLY thing we listen to in the car now  I am seriously considering signing him up for Irish Dance lessons....

Outside - her bike, sidewalk chalk, and her motorized VW Bug. And the swings on our neighbor's playset. :)

Indoors - Sweet Streets dollhouses, Matchbox cars, her play kitchen, and phones!

Outside: Cozy Coupes hands down. We had to buy another one this year so there wouldn't be any more arguing over it!!

Inside: Cars and trucks.

Indoors - Sweet Streets dollhouses,

I think these are so cute and think I'm going to get Janelle some for her 3rd birthday...or rather, get me some for her third birthday!

Outside Janelle loves her tricycle, she can ride it all day if we were to let her.

Kincaid likes his trucks!

Jillian, they are SOOOO worth the money I can't believe I debated about her being ready for them. We bought a ton of them for Christmas/birthday, and she LOVES them. We literally play with them every day. All the little kids go to "school" together, then they take a trip to the "country fair" where the petting zoo animals bite them :lol2: , etc. All the pieces are sturdy (we've only broken one doll), they pack into their respective "homes", and the buildings have carrying handles to tote them around. The most expensive piece was the school for $20! :woo: And you can always get a ton of deals on Ebay. I'm currently lusting after the "beach house".

Dawn, here's the main website: http://www.fisher-price.com/us/sweetstreets/ and on Ebay: http://search.ebay.com/Sweet-Streets_W0QQfromZR40QQsojsZ1

they're like an *intermediate* version of a dollhouse, between Little People stuff for young toddlers and a "real" dollhouse when they're 8 or 9 years old or whatever. :)

Rebekah has one piece of the Sweet Streets set and she's just not ready for it. The pieces are too small for her fingers. She has a dollhouse with larger people that she likes better.

Right now inside she's loving her dress-ups. And outside, she loves swings and her power wheels motorcycle.

Ok for a steady week Paige has been asking for domino's, atfirst I thought she was talking about the pizza place  took me forever to find them but I did finally today and she is happily playing with them right now :)

Abby only likes any toys for about 1min!! UGH!
She likes shoes, has to play with them, wear them, and make us put them on.
She also likes to dress up in random clothes out of the laundry and wear jewlry (necklaces and bracelets)
She likes to "help" us with whatever we are doing also...... she loves to put away silverware and unload and load the dishwasher. She spends tons of time inspecting and playing with all of the interesting things in the pantry and fridge.

Outside.... she has powerwheels jeep that she loves for about 5 min, loves the neighbors playset and kids and loves to play inside of our vehicles.

Alex loves doors! He knocks on them, opens and closes them, moves them back and forth....everything. This gets frustrating when we pay to go places (like the children's museum) and he just wants to play with the door.

Hmmm.....he also loves books, puzzles, blocks, and the musical toys....like a recorder I gave him (like a flute) and his drum. Oh....and he likes his own body quite a bit....does his winkie count as a toy? My little Scorpio boy.... We have to put him in either a onesie or overalls to keep his hands out of his pants.....
Outside, he mostly just walks around and chases Greta. At the park, he likes the swings and slide.....and climbing.

I think he'll be in the science club later on instead of the football team!
