Here's another potty issue... lately, if Caroline is watching TV, she WON'T go to the potty... she will pee a little in her undies before she even thinks about leaving the TV for potty... She does not watch a ton of TV, but I let her watch in the morning before I leave for work and in the evening before bed. We have TIVO and can pause anything for her, and she knows it... but unless I am really watching her, she will frequently pee a little before she will go potty... and today, she POOPED a big poop in her pants while distracted by Dora! She has never done that before... she's been completely potty trained since October. I really don't know what to do... I don't want to just not let her watch TV or put her in a diaper, but those seem to be my choices to get her to learn.

Maybe you could make a big production about pausing the TV to use the bathroom when you have to go to show her that the show can wait for her to potty. I know she knows that, but it might help remind her. :dunno:
When Maia was having problems with accidents while playing, I kept reminding her that if she stopped and pottied "super fast" she could go back to playing... but it took a really long time to get all cleaned up after an accident. After reciting that little dialogue enough, it sunk in that it was better to just stop the fun for a quick potty break.

What about setting a timer when she's watching a show and tell her she has to try going when it goes off, even if it's the middle of the show?

On Saturday when I let the kids watch a movie I try to make them go while the previews are still playing and if they don't go then, I will time it from the last time they went and pause the movie for a bathroom break.

I asked the pediatrician when we were there last week (double ear infection) and she said it's very common... just to schedule potty breaks, and that is working out so far. Thanks!
