how to make a basic sig using psp
i have version 7.

click on file>new

in the dialog box, set your image to 300 pixels wide by 125 pixels high. leave the backround color as transparent, and the color at 24 bit.

click ok.

to add color to the image.

on the right there are 2 boxes, one for foreground and one for backround. pick a color for the foreground.
on the left hand toolbar, choose the icon that looks like a paint bucket.
click in the image and the color should fill.

to add your picture (of you, baby, etc)

this is the tricky part. generally you need to resize your pic. this is done by clicking image>resize

and either resizing it by percent, or actual pixels. once you've got it small enough, try copying it, then 'pasting as a new layer' onto your first image.
this will give you an idea of how big/small it should be.

text.
click the 'A' in the left hand toolbar and a dialogue box will come up for you to choose font and color. type in your text and viola!

save your original as a .psp file. that way your layers are preserved and you can alter them later.then i export as a .jpg (file>export>jpeg optimizer).

i pull up the .jpg file then add the borders (you cannot add borders to layered images so you need to save as .jpg first)

choose your color in the 'backround' color box. go to image>add borders. you can choose the thickness of the border in pixels.

to animate.
animation shop is included in psp. use the wizard, it's pretty self explanatory. i set my frames to display for 1/200th of a second.
