Okay, to kick this sucker off, tell us....what was your favorite line from the past 12 months? (Since last spring.) What line didn't you like at all?
And the bonus question. :lol: What color combos would you like to see Gymboree do?
Hilary
April 18th, 2005, 06:35 PM
Hmmm, well, I'm a fairly new addict, but I think my favorite line so far would have to be Grown with Love. :lol: I like a little bit of everything.
Bonus ?, :dunno: I'm not sure. I like girly colors like light pink and purple! I would NOT like to see more white shirts. My kids get way too dirty to wear white.

Reserving my place :)
As far as my favorite line, that is a tough one... I tend to like the layette lines a ton better than the boys lines. I would say my favorite cold weather layette line was Walk In the Woods, gotta love the little hedgehogs. My favorite warmer weather layette was Vintage Airshow.
As far as boys lines go... I liked Red Baron alot, and Jacks Garage had alot of fun pieces too.
So much for picking just one line :) I think my problem is that I buy my favorite 5-6 pieces from the lines I like and just spread it around like that. I typically only buy out the line in layette.

:eek: I get believe how fast we got to 1000 posts. :)
My favourite line from the past year has been Splash which is cutting it close since it came out last April. More recently, it is definately Spring Fun. In Layette, my favourite was Poppy Fields.
My least favourite this year was Mod Zebra. I didn't like it at all.
Bonus? I agree with Hilary about less white shirts. I am not sure about colours though, I like light yellows, purples, pinks and blues But bright colours (esp pink) suit Emma well. No blacks though. I rarely put Emma in dark colours. I don't like them for little kids.

I guess I really like Grown with Love from the last year. I have not bought alot lately though but I really like the Miami stuff and the Traffic Jam but have not gotten any of it.
I agree with Hilary and others no more white shirts- I bought a few and Maggie never wore them cause I was scared she would get them too dirty. I love primary colors for boys and summery, bright, pinks and reds for girls lines.

I liked hmm walk in the woods (for boys) and jardin francaise the best for whole lines, though cutie pie is really close. For pieces though I liked various pieces from fox trot, hide and seek, sweet watermelon, etc.

April 18th, 2005, 09:43 PM
Wow!!! How did that sneak up on me...
I'd have to say my most favorite was Tiger Club. I love red! I'm still gathering pieces for next winter. :lol: I just got the velour pants and now I'm searching for the Grrrr Hoodie. Fat Chance, I know.
A very close 2nd is Spring Fun and Splash!!!
My least favorite is probably Fox Trot and Dandelion Wishes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'd love to see purples and reds in their next line. :)
Wow, I can't believe we got to 1000 posts that quickly!
Hmmm, my favorite line would probably have to be Splash or Lemony Fresh, although I also loved Grown With Love.
I'd love to see another line with the colors from Tip Toe Tulip. I loved those colors together.
Haven't been addicted long enough to really have a favorite line. Well, I really love Walk in the Woods for girls. I love bunnies and lavender, so it was a hit for me.
Colors? Hmmm.... I don't know. I like lots of stuff. Like I said - I love lavender.
April 19th, 2005, 07:19 AM
My favorite lines were Splash and Lemony Fresh... I got a lot from both on Ebay since I wasn't a Gymbo fan back then :lol:
Least Favorite... Giraffe Club and Mod Zebra (not into animal prints for kids :dunno: ).
Colors... I love the Spring Fun colors on Carolyn
April 19th, 2005, 08:01 AM
i love European Holiday. navy and lavender look great on Gianna. i know it's a fall line but i think it's more spring-y really. i need to get more of it for next year.
i also loved the sweaters of CAAB..classic fall colors and just timeless, not too trendy.
i need more SF! :lol: planning to use my FOG card to get some.
boys: i didn't buy much gymbo for tony but i did pick up some Space Trooper for next winter.
colors: i'm not a huge fan of pink. i don't buy it for gianna at all.
April 19th, 2005, 08:09 AM
Oh, I forgot to mention my favorites for Ben...
Definitely Jack's Garage and Barracuda Speedboat. :)
Also, I'm really tired of orange for boys. :updown:
gulp!
April 19th, 2005, 10:08 AM
CAAB is one of my favorites, and some of the items from Wildflower Fields (Emma looks good in that peachy/orange color)
I'm also not a fan of the animal prints, nor the French-themed stuff. (I have a bias against Paris...:awink: )
Sad to say, I don't know the boys line's well enough to cite them by name. I loved Krishan's dog park stuff, and I guess I'm liking the safari stuff he has now.
I'm not nearly the addict the rest of you are. :)
Eleanor
April 19th, 2005, 10:17 AM
Hmmm...I like European Holiday and Grown with Love alot, too :)
Least favorite is the animal prints- not too fond of those.
And I'm partial to purples, and blues...
April 19th, 2005, 10:36 AM
Hmm, I guess the fall lines, CAAB and HnS, were my favorites. Least favorite was Mod Zebra. Not sure what color combo I'd like to see, but definitely no pink or orange!
April 19th, 2005, 11:34 AM
I can't decide what my favorite boys "line" was. I really just like random pieces. I would love to see more of a blue, between baby blue, and bright blue for boys things. We just have a bunch of random things, but I am severly getting sucked in!
Dawn
April 19th, 2005, 11:54 AM
Oh my! We sucked Dawn in!!! :lol:
I was an addict, then I stopped, then it's slowly starting again Julie. :lol: how's that saying go from The Godfather "Just when I thought I was out, they sucked me back in!" :lol:
When Alexia was wee-little and when we lived in the condo, there was a gymboree really close by. I had so much fun buying the cutest outfits for her there. Then we sold the place and there wasn't a gymboree that was close by to where we were temporarily renting. :blue: I lived vicariously through you all. :lol: NOW...that I have 2 girls (and we're still not *that* close to a store), I remembered.... duh! You can buy online! :lol: I still rather go to a store to shop for them, but hey, sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right? ;) :lol: I think the store is 1/2 hr. away...it's not too bad, but I was spoiled before being super close to one. :)
April 19th, 2005, 01:41 PM
I loved wildflower fields, dandelion wishes, hide and seek, sunflower fields, spring fun......i bought almost the entire line of all of these. The new one is really cute. Just love butterflies. We'll see how it is in person.
I only liked a few items of bonjour provence and grown with love. It was really disappointing.
I really didn't like.....the animal club ones, the formal xmas items, petit four, a birds life.
I haven't liked much of the boy stuff. I usually buy the basics for my boys. They adore the shark swim stuff and the new surfer stuff.
No hibiscus though as expected. :(
My store won't allow us to do holds 2 days ahead. Only 24 hours. They said it was new corporate rules. I just called colleen my local manager and she said they don't even get the stuff in until wednesday night. so frustrating.
semi-addict reporting in!!!
My fave line is GWL!! I would love to something in a lt. aqua.....that is a color that looks FAB on Alexis. Ashton tends to look really good in bright colors hot pink, etc.
Sign me up!!!!
Each new sale keeps getting me more $$ off of Spring Fun. It's driving me nuts. To return or not to return.
First it was 25% off, then the additional 20%, and now 30% on top of marked down prices!!! Add into the fact I have my 5% gymboree credit card and my calculator is going berzerk.
I'm waving the white flaggie on Spring Fun. :bs: I'll take my losses and learn from here!!
Gosh...so hard to name a favorite :( I really like DW. Norah looks great in those colors. Though I need to get sucked into European Holiday come fall :lol: Those are her colors, too (navys, blues, lavendars)
For boys, I really liked the safari one that came out w/ SF (what was it called?) I liked the greens of it. I got some for both boys :)
Matter of fact, here is Aidan modeling it today!
Um...I dont like BP at all. And I dont like fancy-ish lines, as my kids like to play and get dirty. not practical. And if its white, I gotta be able to bleach it. :lol:
April 19th, 2005, 05:05 PM
what was your favorite line from the past 12 months? (Since last spring.) What line didn't you like at all? I loved Sunflower fields and Dandelion wishes. Both my girls look good in navy blue, so those were great and the green in DW is also great on both of them. I do not like any of the "fancier" stuff, since my kids won't be wearing it... I really did not like the Giraffe stuff b/c I did not like that shade of pink (too much like Peptobismol)... I did not like BP either. I did however grow to really like a lot of the zebra stuff... the black and green look great on Courtney.
What color combos would you like to see Gymboree do? I really love the navy blue and pink combo of one of those earlier lines (can't recall the name) and I love the navy and green, navy and lavender of other lines, so probably anything with lots of navy blue. It works for both girls... I love when they do orange and deep pink (fuschia) too, but that only really looks good on Caroline.
JustJen
April 19th, 2005, 07:41 PM
I agree. I love navy blue and pink. I also am really into the kelly green. I am anxious to see the new line in person. It doesn't come out here until Wednesday night. So I have to show up at opening on Thursday. I was shocked that they aren't even doing an early opening at my local gymbo.
I don't do the fancy stuff. Jim and I don't dress up much ourselves. It's so impractical for kids. I let them decide quite a bit of what I buy.
What was your favorite line from the past 12 months? (Since last spring.) Oh, so many. Dandelion Wishes (am only belatedly discovering that, wish I had bought tons when it was out), Wildflower Fields, European Holiday, City Sidewalk, Apres Ski. I'm into all the ultra-girly stuff!
What line didn't you like at all? Mod Zebra - Caroline looks horrible in that lime green color, and I didn't like the pink/brown of Giraffe Club.
And the bonus question. :lol: What color combos would you like to see Gymboree do? Me being me, I need another deep purple line like Folk Song. :)
April 19th, 2005, 11:10 PM
I'm new here but a HUGE Gymbo fan! My favorite lines in the last year have been Bubble Fun, Spring Fun, and Apres Ski. Sunflower Fields really grew on me-I wasn't impressed with it at first. My least favorites have been Mod Zebra and the older girl stuff from Hide N Seek. The little girl stuff was cute.
I look forward to chatting on here with y'all. :D
I love Petit Four! However, i was so disappointed when they ran out of the matching shirt (the white sweater with the purple bow in front) to the pants online. I love the shades of purple, greens and blues in it. She has the hat as well, and I matched up a purple onsie to go with the pants...from another line (can't remember right now). I also love lemony fresh and City Sidewalk.
I wasn't crazy about Copa Cabana (sp?). I'm not fond of the orange colors in it.
I also wasn't crazy about Apres Ski either.
I would like to see color combos of Aqua blue and hot pink. :)
Well, I am going over to Gymbo today to see what I can hold for tomorrow! I really hope there is some SF there... Since we are having another girl, I can't really shop for her... we have more girl clothes than I know what to do with in every size, season, color. I'd be a fool to spend more $$ on baby girl clothes, but I've been foolish before! :lol:
I am late getting here...
My favorite recent line was Dandelion Wishes and I love Tiger Club too.
man, I miss a few days and we're on part 3?
And Dawn is here??? (I was wondering when you were going to get sucked in! :lol: )
My fave lines:
Tip Toe
Sunflower Fields
CAAB (wish I got more of this one)
City Sidewalk
Mod Zebra (everyone hates this line. I didn't want to like it but it coincided with us going to the zoo and Lauryn just loved her zebra clothes)
Spring Fun (I've got way too much of this line!)
Not so faves (but bought stuff anyway)
WFF- Had to buy this for Gymbucks and Gymbucks redemption. but lauryn wore WFF stuff last weekend and I think they're growing on me.
GC- I only had one dress but all the other pieces kept showing up on the clearance rack so we now have a few pieces. Still looks cute on Lauryn.
what combos?
Can't even think of any. I just like the surprise. ALthough I must say I'm not so crazy about Tropical Paradise. Saw it IP today. Maybe it'll look better with a FOG.
Ok, so what is everyone getting for FOG?
watermelon bikini if i can find it (i'll be dialing around today)
matching miami vacation outfits. (having photos done on the 30th)
i was going to buy SF ahead for next summer but i think it's too risky. i may pick up another ribbon tee or two. but that means i need to hit the tier two. ugh, so annoying!
I am doing the same. Getting the few must haves from TP, then buying sale items with the rest.
I took Dh in last night and he really loved the watermelon line. So I'm buying some of that. I got a ton of sale stuff and held a lot of the new line, but I am also rethinking my purchases. I want stuff that will mix and match with other pieces I have.
I was going to say the same thing. Although I'm guilty of that too. My Mom has resorted to getting me spa days as gifts so she knows I can't use my birthday money to buy my kids something. Kaari, pm me. I've been trying to chat with you since we live so close
This top was on my must-have list, but I bought it today and now it's going back. She tried it on and the elastic in the back is way too loose, so it sags down to the top of her shorts in the back and doesn't look very good. :(
Regan is 6 1/2 and I bought her a size 5. I'm hoping it was just a defect and not all of them are this way. :crossfing I probably won't get back to the store until next week though, so if you get your order before then I would love to know if yours is the same way.
I know. I took my husband in last night and he liked totally different things then I did. He wants me to get Isabella the whole watermelon line. I have a thing for butterflies. My girl's room is butterflies. Our garden is butterflies. We even released 200 live butterflies at our wedding. So I have to get some of it......
I need to go do inventory of what we already have in our closet.....
I'll tell you what I got when I get back.....
I really like the watermelon line! Gotta get my girls some matching outfits! :nod: Gosh, how I wish we were close to a gymboree store like we use to be. :blue: Buying it in person is so much better than online. Although I'll take online buying rather than nothing. :lol:
Yes, I'm lucky in that she can still fit into alot of 24 mo. clothing . I really like 2T on her (for jeans really) but there's alot of pieces...especially summer ones that 24 mo. are still ok on her. :up: Then when she outgrows it, her sis can wear it again. :lol: Because of the fact she can fit in 24 mos. is why I've been lucky enough to get them matching outfits so easily. :)
I bought the kids clothes for my birthday, that's my present to myself since I can't justify buying them regularly now with only one income. I'm happy with it and I may get a Dooney and Bourke purse from my mom so then I'd be on cloud 9!
Ok, so I didn't like much from the new line at all. I thought it was much cuter online than in person. We had to run some errands today so I ended up at a Tier 2 store and I'm in love! It was so big and they had so much more than the store I had worked at. I may have to figure out a way to get to that one more regularly. :thumbsup:
Here's what we ended up with...
Thanks Karri!
Jeni and Karri - it's a consignment sale all for kids stuff (and maternity and nursing clothes too) that we have here twice a year. It just started a couple of years ago! It's called One Week Boutique. I think the people that started it are actually from Arizona or somewhere else - not sure. I think their parents live here or something. I can't believe I bought all that stuff. There was plenty more. I might go back on Saturday because everything goes 1/2 price then. I doubt there will be more stuff, but you never know. Problem is, most of the stuff I bought is 12-18 months and I just don't know if Heather will hit that this summer or not. I'm hoping, but she seems to have slowed WAY down in her growth. Some of it was 18-24 months too. At this point though, I bet she'll be ablt to wear all clothes in all seasons. Carter never could, but he grew way too fast for that.
That is the one I worked at, Northpoint. I believe that they had the numbers to be a Tier 1, but not a large enough store. They were like a Teir 1 and a half as they would get alot of capsule lines that other Tier 2s didn't get.
I agree it is one of the bigger stores in Atlanta. I think the only one bigger is the one at Lenox. And Lenox usually had alot of merchandise too.
Julie, I should have guessed you had worked at Northpoint. You lived in Alpharetta, right?
It's a nice store and they had a few Tier 1 pieces, but not a whole lot and they're sale merchandise was lacking. MOG has a ton more sale stuff or maybe it just seems like it because the store is smaller.
I went to gymbo today....2 of them actually.
I bought the entire watermelon line for Isabella. Dh saw it last night and loved it and it's so rare for Daddy to find something he just adores like that. So I HAD to buy it. We got a ton of the new butterfly stuff. Lily loves it.
I bought Austin the shark swim shorts for his shark themed pool birthday party this weekend.
I found some clearance things that I got for cheap. The european holidy little shoes $6 and the grown with love cardigan for $7.
I didn't get much of the wildflower fields stuff I put on hold. Dh really didn't like it. Especially the little pink terry crop top and capris that Lily adored. He thought it was a little inappropriate for a 3 year old.
I finished up my spring fun set and bought the last little shorts for bonjour provence.
I spent less than $300 for all of it and got 2 bags full plus 3 things coming from online. All in all, an expensive day, but that's gymbo for ya
Don't know why, but I took a picture of some of my Gymboree purchases that I had laying out on my dining room table. I wanted to see what matched and what was interchangeable. :crazy: These are just some of Lexie's. :lol: Ben's are on the other side.
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5da03b3127cce9112c131339800000016108OYuHDVnQ (http://javascript<b></b>:openSlideWin(1,%20'67b0de21b323b970058a',%2026);)
I placed another online order last night because I forgot the matching TP hairband for Lexie and she's really been into wearing them . I also got some really cheap sneakers they had for 2.99. :crazy:
PS. I have an extra pair of Spring Fun Denim Ribbon Shorts in a Size 3. Only problem is I actually paid full price. I ran out of gymbucks and I really wanted them. I had to get Lex a Size 4 due to her big belly! :lol:
Can I get one just in case..... I really want to try and drive out to the mall that has the Gymboree. It's been a while since I was there in person and I'm totally overdue. :biggrin:
Jeff, the kids and I popped into a different mall on Wednesday night and stopped to browse at TP. Jeff was not liking any of it. I showed him the bikini that Kim bought and he gave it the thumbs down and asked how many swimsuits does Avery need? :rolleyes:
We left Gymbo and I waited 10 minutes to tell him that I placed an online order. :eek: :lol:
This is what I ordered:
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140001412_GYT006?$126x160$http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140001548?$126x160$http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140001556?$126x160$
Plus hair pretties and the orange socks to match.
I figure I'll keep whatever shirt fits better
I also got 2 hats from SF (the blue one to match Avery's swimsuit that Nocona scored for us, and the white one with the ribbon detail, because my store didn't have any more.)
Plus, I had to get this for Avery. Jeff loved it and wanted it for her before. It came back in stock online so I had to snap it up. :lol:
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140001220?$126x160$
And I still haven't gone in and shopped for FOG yet. I pulled out Avery's tote of clothes from summer 2003 when she was wearing 12 months stuff. So far, Sabrina hasn't been able to wear most of Avery's stuff, as it's been a season off. To my suprise, most of the springy stuff (pants and short sleeved shirts) fit, and the little shorts and tops and the sundresses fit. The only things that might not are the one-piece rompers. I figure now that I have tons of stuff that fits her, there is no dire need for me to shop for her. :( Plus, I got some Splash and LF on major clearance, and Kaari sold me some great LHG and RS stuff, so with the exception of a few cute TDF pieces, I am done for Sabrina. :(
I still want to get them matching outfits for sister pictures and Sabrina needs a new outfit for her first birthday. :lol:
I'm on call for tonite. If I don't work, I'm hitting the mall tomorrow morning as it is supposed to be crappy out this weekend.
I told DH that I was going to the mall yesterday (and didn't mention Gymboree). Ugh! I bought Ava some terry shorts from the Splash line in 12-18 months for the top Jillian is sending me and they are HUGE! They fit Madelynn! :eek: Oh well, I just got Madelynn the top off of Ebay. :lol: Looking for some 3-6 month shorts for Ava, I guess.
OMG, yes, we got terry shorts in 12-18 from lemony fresh and there is no way Janelle will EVER be able to wear them...I then got her some 3-6, and they are still too big in the waist but not long enough...so I've just decided terry shorts are not for us.
Lette, they enter all submitted cards in a drawing. The person with the most cards redeemed (up to 80) with the highest amount sold wins a cash prize. Then there are random drawings. Last time, a District manager and a store manager won. I have no hope of winning anything, I just like to share the addiction with others. :silly:
Ummmm, then what's the point of the card? When I worked Monday, we were given instructions that NO cards were to be handed out when the event started, and only people who had the cards or the email got the discount. Because there are prizes involved, they are monitoring very closely. Your store is gonna get smacked. :lol:
I KNEW I should have stopped in here before heading out this morning. We ended up at Gymboree and I bought Aiden these:
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140000247?$240x305$
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140001727?$240x305$
This was tooo cute! It's a Volkswagon bus with surfboards on top. :lol:
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140001876?$240x305$
I also bought Aiden some underwear. He has some Space trooper boxers that he loves to wear (over his diaper :lol: ), but I was informed that boxers are only with winter collections. :(
Oh, and I scored on a pair of overalls from Space Trooper for about $9.99 (I admit, I think I own majority of the pieces of that collection :blush: )
Y'all would have been proud, Aiden was dragging his new clothes in the Gymboree bag around the mall. He's not quite tall enough to pick up the whole bag. :lol: It was really cute (made me wish I had a camera. :lol: )
Colleen: I got and USED my card yesterday, thanks! :)
I did not get much, and silly me, I ended up buying most of what I got was for the new baby!!! DUH! We have SO much right now, for everyone, but here is what I got...
For new baby, since she will match C&C:
For Caroline:
I have to go out of my way to get there, but I have some returns to do and I'm going to go with hubby and the kids tomorrow. So, I'll be on the lookout for ...
If you can find shark print shorts in size 5. Or the shark print T shirts in size 5 or 7. I was also looking for the same bloomers as Kaari in 6-12 months. So if there just happens to be a second pair. I also want the impossible to find Judy Jetson looking top in Spring Fun. The blue floral print one with white straps in size 4t.
Wow, I guess I have a large list. Sorry. But if you happen to find these I will gladly pay you back immediately via paypal.
Thanks so much!
Janelle loves the green watermelon capris, she calls them her "ant pants" but just a warning, I think they run big...they are far from capri's and they fall off unless I roll the waist band down (which makes them capri's that fit actually) but I wish I would of bought them in 6-12 so you might want to try them on norah.
Lette~ I love the butterfly bike shorts, they look great on Lexie! I agree with you that the orange shorts don't seem to match the green tank too well, maybe it's because the butterfly is so small?!? And wtf would a toddler tankini have the bra top lining?!
I just got my order in the mail. I too ordered it Wednesday! I am so excited about how fast it came. I only ordered this swim suit from Sugar Cookie
http://www.gymbohaven.com/sugarc36.jpg
But I love it and so does Alyssa. I got it for only 7.99 I must have caught it just as soon as they put it up!
I also got your FOG card in the mail yesterday and I am still deciding what I want to get with it!!
Jayne
Jayne, how does it fit?? Carolyn normally wears 18-24 but this swimsuit just barely fits her now so I am looking for a 2T.
She wouldn't put it on but I held it up and it looked so HUGE. I saw a bunch of them online at Ebay for about 8.00 or so. Of course that was with 2-3 days left.
Cute stuff everyone! I can't decide if I'm going to get anything yet. I actually kind of like a lot of stuff from the new line for Madelynn.
I just won this swimsuit off of Ebay for Ava.
http://gymbohaven.com/04TipT100ff.jpg
Ok, I was bidding on one in 3T for Madelynn and I lost. :bawl: I even had esnipe set up! It was the only one on there, so if anyone knows where I could find one I'd really appreciate it. It's from Tip Toe Tulip.
Or this, in a 4, but there is one on Ebay and I like the 3T better.
Letti- thanks so much.
I don't know about a couple of the combos either. The green butterfly TP shirt threw me. We got the khaki shorts, but I don't know what else Lily's going to wear it with. I got the bright pink and white basic bike shorts so that might work. It's kind of an iffy color, although I really love the shirt.
Colleen- (or anyone else in the know) Do you know when the next gymbucks earning will be? I am going to Sioux Falls (only 1 of 2 gymbos in the state!) on May 9th and was wondering if this may coincide with gymbucks earning or a sale. I only get to an actual gymboree store about 2x a year so I was hoping something would be happening on this day. :crossfing
Lette- Thanks so much for trying. I appreciate it. I may end up going back in tomorrow when the boys have their pictures at picture people. I was going to get them the whole shark set for the pictures. But the boys are more into camo with Dh being in the military. So we're doing camo and orange. I'll have to post the new pictures when we get them.
Does anyone have or can anyone be on the lookout for this dress in 0-3? I have it for Caroline and Court for next fall/winter and now of course want it for #3. I am kicking myself for not picking one up when they were $7 and plentiful!
You don't have to take it, I have no problem with doing returns, but I figured out when I got there that only layette(at least talking to the sales lady) comes in 0-3, so I picked it up in 3-6 for you just in case you wanted it in that size.
Sorry, no toothy grin anything bigger than preemie...
Gosh I wish this outlet was there when Janelle was little...she was in preemie for months and months and 7.99-9.99 for an outfit is cheaper than preemie clothes at walmart.
From Rainforest Adventure:
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140001705?$126x160$
From Go Bananas:
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140001159?$126x160$
And some swimwear (line name?):
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140000248?$126x160$
(Got that in both 6-12 and 12-18 sizes, since I just don't know which will fit John better.)
And had to get the matching beach towel....
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140000940?$126x160$
Plus, because it was 30% off and they're just better than regular ones, I picked up some Gymbo bubbles.
Lyndee, is Fair Oaks a Tier 1 or just Tyson's? I really want to go to a Tier 1 and I'll be in Northern Virginia in a few weeks and will be near both malls. I really like that outfit and it's about the only thing from that line that I like.
Both are Tier 1 but someone on GR said that the Tyson's is the biggest Tier 1 (biggest of what, I don't know :dunno: ) I really don't have a preference- both stores are usually pretty well stocked.
Quickest way to get to Gymbo:
At Fair Oaks- Park on 2nd level of JCP. Once you get out into the mall, Gymbo is around the corner to the left.
At Tyson's- Park at lower level of Lord and Taylor. Straight out into the mall, turn right.
Jenn
April 24th, 2005, 11:29 PM
Is the Gymbo at Fair Oaks still near the Lady Foot Locker? It use to be really small. Did they expand? Hmm, I think I might need to hit the one at Tyson's. I haven't been to that mall in ages.
I found out today that our nearest tear one store is in Bellingham Washington. About 4-6 hours North of us almost to Canada. Don't think I'll be trecking up there.
I wish gymboree had a better computer system. I love how Gap can track down orders by the touch of a screen. With as much as gymboree makes you'd think they could update their registers and system some.
Isabella wore her new watermelon bikini today to her brother's birthday party. it was so cute. Lily wore the new TP butterfly one. The little bralet thing was bit annoying though. I don't know why a 3 year old needs one in a tankini.
Oh and I totally agree on the bralet thing. That's why we took ours back. :( It didn't lay right and you could see lots of wrinkles underneath. I was so bummed because I really loved the suit.
Lily ended up wearing her new TP butterfly tankini last night. I was really surprised the butterfly didn't come off. It seemed sort of poorly attached and I kept expecting to find a butterfly floating around the pool. But even with her agressive play (mat running, going down the slide and such) it didn't come off. The bralet I had to push down a couple of times, but it didn't seem to stop Lily from having a good time.
She loves it. It really looked adorable on. She is really into butterflies and with her blond little braids and skin tone it was really perfect on her.
We always make it a point to have 2 swimsuits a year. The kids hate it when they have to wait for their suits to dry or put on one that's a bit wet and uncomfortable. So I've made it a rule to buy atleast 2. The boys have about 10 each this year. Isabella about 3 or 4. I have to say I love that gymboree puts the swim diaper into the baby swimsuits. It makes it so much easier.
We love it too. We took private lessons there last year. This year I haven't decided what I'm going to do. My oldest is too old for the little pool. So we may go to THPRD. If he does I'm sure the younger two will want to go where he does. Big brother has quite the following right now.
I was going to do Baby and Me with Isabella, but she has decided pool time is great for napping. She slept in the pool the last 2 times I took her. So it's an expensive nap time. I may have to wait until she's a bit older.
Bonnie - I don't remember how much your girls were at birth, but my boys were big and even Gymbo 0-3 didn't fit well after 6-8 weeks. So I was thinking that starting in November our newest additions would be wearing 3-6...
Wow, I haven't been on in a couple days. Had alot of catching up to do! Cute outfits everyone! :up: I just wanted to show what I got for the girls. I went to the mall today w/ Angelina after we dropped Alexia off at preschool. :)
I got 2 watermelon dresses. A 3-6 mo. for Angelina and 18-24 mos. for Alexia. Everything else I got one of for Angelina (Alexia won't fit in the other stuff). I have several matching outfits for them so far and I'm thinking about possibly using this watermelon dress for their summer sister pics. :) They look too adorable in them. :heart:
I also got the hat you see below, the socks and the ADORABLE watermelon shoes for Angelina. Alexia won't fit into the other accesory stuff (just the dress). :biggrin: Dress fits her fine, with the exception of one of the straps falling down her shoulder. :(
I got the sweater for Angelina only (Alexia needs a 3T for sweaters)
I wanted the watermelon bathing suit, but they didn't have any at the Tier 2 store. :(
THese are for Alexia. I would of gotten mathing ones for Angelina, but she won't fit into the 6-12 mos. during the summer...it will be too big. :(
Caroline was huge, 9 lbs., and out of 0-3 by 6 weeks, but Courtney was only 7'11" and VERY slow to gain weight b/c of feeding issues, so she was in 0-3 for the full 3 months... I am not expecting feeding troubles this time around, so 3-6 should work I hope!! If not, they can all match later. Caroline's dress is a 3 and Court's is an 18-24 (and since she is still in 6-12 half the time, probably won't fit until she is 2 +, it doesn't matter!
