both my DH and I have our resumes on monster, today I got this email:

"
Found your resume on monster. COM and would like to talk to you about career opportunities at Select. Please send me your resume and we can talk. Thank you, Anne

Anne X (actually spelt out)"

I don't know if it is for DH or Me so I went to their website and none of the jobs sound like anything either of us would want or qualify for.

So would it be rude for me to ask for a job description before (if I ever) send a resume?

I wouldn't think so. Why waste your time and theirs if it's not something you would be interested in. I do have a question though. She said that she found your resume on line right? So why does she want you to send her your resume so the two of you can talk? Isn't your contact information on your resume? Just wondering.

It's spam and I would just delete it. If she really found your resume on Monster and had a serious position available, she would've provided information about the job in the e-mail. The job is probably some BS thing that is totally unrelated to what you are actually looking for.

She found your resume on monster.com but they asked for your resume? Sounds like a scam to me. :(

megan... as a former employee of monster...everyone is correct this is a scam. monster has had so many problems with this sort of thing and other privacy issues...

If she found you resume as an emplyer she is able to download it... I wouldn't respond...
