Please share experiences with what cds you used and how well they worked while potty training.
We used all fuzzi bunz which I really loved. I'm concerned that he won't be able to pull them off - I admit, I'm clueless to potty training, so I'm sure that I'll be helping him at first. I am just concerned about convenience of getting out of them - is there some other cd that works better for this particular stage? Since fuzzi bunz are supposed to be keeping him dry by wicking the wetness away from him, how will he know if he has gone?
Any information that can enlighten me would be very much appreciated!!!! Thank you!

We used CD training pants when potty learning. Mother of Eden makes some as does Happy Heinys (and several other places).

Yep - Bummis, Mother of Eden and HH all make training pants.
Bummis are strictly cotton inners - so one pee and he'll feel it but his clothes won't get wet. 2nd pee and you'll have leakage.
Mother of Eden are micro-terry next to the skin so same as the Bummis - the nice part of these is that they have 2 waist/thigh settings with snaps so if there's a solid mess, makes them easier to get off and adjust but they can also be pulled on/off.
HH - you can customize how much absorbtion you want - no adjustments though. They still have the microfleece inner so I'm not sure how wet they'll feel honestly.
If he's ready and is telling you he's wanting to use the potty, why not just use training undies you can get a Walmart and the like - we bought the ones made of waffleweave fabric - they have 2-3 layers in the crotch and bum area. One light accident and you won't have a mess but if he doesn't even try to hold it, he'll be wet. We used these around the house and at daycare with the expectation that we'd be changing pants a few times during the day initially and we used the training pants from MOE when we had to go out.
Matt had a few accidents during the first week at home but he was in pretty good shape by week 2-3 - down to maybe one accident a day?

We started with loose Fuzzi Bunz (so she could pull them down herself) and then moved to trainers occasionally. Pretty much we just let dd run around the house with no undies and a skirt. Or nothing on the bottom. This was summer time. Or those thick toddler undies that are slightly more "protective," but not really! She was day "trained" at about two years, but still needs the Overnight Undies at night. Now, with my second I'll be trying the Trickle Free Trainers. But we're still a little ways from that!

We just let Mary run around the house in gerber training pants and then for a little while we'd either put a cheap plastic cover over it OR we'd just put her in a CD. Honestly they train quicker when they pee on the floor those first few times because they really don't like doing that.

We're in the process of training so you can take what I have with a grain of salt  . Ethan can pull down/take off just about any diaper we use on him. He prefers Fuzzi Bunz, but he still knows when he has to pee or when he has peed. I just keep asking him if he has to go, if he did go, ect...and he's getting really good at telling us. I think a big part is recognizing you have to go before you have gone and it doesn't matter so much if they feel wet or not. I'm just not sure what we'll do when it comes to pooping as he is very secretive about that and refuses to tell us when he's pooped.

i forgot to mention. We knew she was ready because sometimes she'd take her diaper off and then pee. We knew to run with her to the potty as soon as it came off. now she frequently pees in the fuzzi bunz while going down for a nap. She takes it off and puts her undies back on :) So I guess they can feel it a little bit.
