Book recommendations

Does anybody know any great book on parenting pre-teens?

I don't know of any books off hand but Sean's dr. just copied a chapter out of a book for me to read. We were/are having communication problems. The title is "How to listen so Kids will talk to you: The Language of Acceptance. I think it is from an old parenting book, P.E.T. which is Parent Effectivness Training. I just started reading it.

My husband works with teens as a teacher and counselor and I will ask him what he recommends. Just looking on his night stand, i see the book, "Queen bees and Wannabees", which is about understanding the girl world. and "Best Friends, Worst Enemies", which is about understanding the social lifes of children.
