wow...I can believe we have 1000 posts already!!! We did a mini-photo shoot today, caid in the outfit I'm trying to ID (i think it's a lost cause since it's from 1999, even if I do ID it I won't be able to find another) and his new monkey outfit, janelle in her wff outfit and her new watermelon outfit. I'll post the pictures later!

I have some pictures too. :)
Ava's new overalls! They barely fit. I'm :crossfing that they will fit all summer.

Julie bought this outfit for M. in one of the pg exchanges. It's from Sweet Romance in '02. Ava's wearing it today.

Madelynn's new outfit. She said that it's perfect.

We tried everything on and I might have to take some stuff back for resizing! The shirt that I thought ran big actually had a band around the bottom and is tight.
Lexie is in love with the dress and those freakin' $28 sandals and won't take them off! :love2:
Here are just a few pictures. I should have turned the light on.
The dress is a 4 and seems a bit too long for me, but she won't be wearing it until June, so I'm in a quandry on what to do here.
I know the 3 won't fit in the waist.
Please disregard the bed head. She just woke up from her nap. :princess:

Lette - Lexie is too cute! I love that bathing suit!
Hilary - Wow, Ava has gotten so big! I love that WFF outfit!
I worked last night and again tomorrow. My store is a tier 3 so we don't have all the blue and green stuff that I wanted to see. I'm thinking of getting each of the girls an outfit but I just don't know what to get. I'm loving the Miami line so I might just get them each an outfit from that one and use them for their spring pictures.

March 5th, 2005, 07:12 PM
Lette, I think the 4 dress is *fine* on Lexie. Caroline wears Gymbo size 4s comfortably, and Lexie's not THAT much smaller than her. So at that size it should last her through the summer. I would keep it.

OMG Lette....does Lexie know how to "work it" or what??? (I'm hearing RuPaul in the background.... "Work...covergirl! Do your thing....on the run way!" :lol2: ) Those outfits are adorable!
Hilary: Your girls look so cute!!!!! I love the WFF on Madelyn!
Kim: I hope you get the suit....I just had to have it too! Maybe there's a subliminal message in the pattern!
Regarding suits...I've found the Gymbo baby girl suits true to size....

Target has a dress right now that looks a lot like the stiped spring fun kid girl dress...I still didn't buy it though cause even though it comes smaller (2t) it still wouldn't fit janelle for a couple years, but at least it is closer than size 3.

Okay.......
Time for me to obsess! :awink:
For Easter, my Mom gave me $$$ to buy the girls outfits. First, she wanted frilly, tradional Easter dresses. We searched Kaufmann's, L&T, Bon Ton, etc. Everything was sleeveless and nothing jumped out at us.
So, off to Gymbo we went, and picked out this:
http://www.gymbohaven.com/wildfl41a.jpghttp://www.gymbohaven.com/wildfl57a.jpghttp://www.gymbohaven.com/wildfl37a.jpg
Cute, and they could wear it again, and into the summer.
Then my Mother came into the store when I was working Thursday night and saw this outfit, and promptly told me it was way cuter, and to take the WFF stuff back and buy this for both girls:
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/17026142?$240x305$
Again, adorable, but they'll wear it for Easter (maybe at church, and then for brunch at my Moms. I'd also take them for pictures wearing it.) I can't justify spending the $$$ for it.
Then, I said to my Mom, with Sabrina crawling, she'd be better off without a skirt or dress. And I could get Avery something cute too, and I suppose they don't have to match.
So, my thought was this for Sabrina...
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140000454?$240x305$http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140000473?$240x305$
And this for Avery:
http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140000391_GYH001?$240x305$http://s7ondemand1.scene7.com/is/image/Gymboree/140000551?$240x305$
And top it with a plain white cardigan we have.
Or I could keep the WFF top and skirt for Avery, and just pair it with the plain white cardigan that we already have.
What do you addicts think?

Okay, despite not wanting to believe it, and not having enough money to support it, I think I'm becoming an addict. I think it was having a girl that put me over the edge!
For now, I'm getting mostly previous lines on Ebay. But I found the Cherry Blossom hat and European Holiday tights at the store recently for CHEAP! :)

I've got to stop!!!! I want one of these too:

March 5th, 2005, 11:34 PM
personally I like the wildflower fields stuff the best...but I don't even like the petit four stuff dh picked out for janelle...I just wasn't a fan of pf or the petal layette stuff... However, I will say I'm jelous...it's not fair that you have 2 girls...it's super hard to match a girl and a boy for things like christmas pictures and easter pictures and such. Ohh, and Janelle has always worn dresses, and it has never gotten in the way for her...I mean she walked at 8 1/2 months old!
Okay.......

Colleen~ I like all your choices. I love the WFF outfit and the last 2 are great too. As for the PF dress, I love it and actually considered getting it for a wedding but I agee that the girls won't get much use of it.
Finally made it to Gymboree today with my gymbucks and of course spent a lot more than I needed to use my gymbucks  these were my purchases:

Hmn, Colleen. Tough call. I'd definately rule out the PF dress. I am of the mindset, too, that its just a waste of money b/c they'll never wear it again (unless you had gotten it for $9.99, of course!) I love WFF, but the other 2 are cute. :dunno:

http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5dd27b3127cce90dac58f744000000036108AaNG7Rozasx
Just playing with the combo (don't think I like it though- way too much going on)
http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5dd27b3127cce90dac5df741000000036108AaNG7Rozasx
This is also a really cute outfit. Got the jeans in a 3 which would fit better without a diaper. The size 4 was just way too big.

O.k., I spent my Gymbucks today, but I didn't exactly maximize my savings. I had two Gymbucks, but wound up spending $142, so I still dropped almost $100. The saleswoman told me that I was supposed to spend $100 to get the Rise And Shine coupon, but she gave it to me anyway.
I didn't have a lot of time to spend in there, b/c I had DH and the kids with me, but I think that's a good thing because otherwise I would've bought the entire Spring Fun line!
So here's what I wound up with for Emma. I'm having trouble copying pics from GH, so I have to attach them:
gulp!
March 6th, 2005, 09:10 PM
And this for Krishan. The orange shorts are actually a dark orange. The red striped onesie I scored for $7.

karri - the store i went to had the WFF top in 12-18 but NOT one pr. of cargo pants. i figured you wouldn't want one without the other so i didn't pick it up.
lyndee lauryn looks adorable and jen, katie is just :love1: in that outfit!
ok, i bought exactly what i put on the previous page. granted i hemmed and hawed in the store , i had my almost 16yr old niece with me and she was not helping . i think the hat i bought is not big enough, it fits but with little growing room. i got the 6-18m for miss giant noggin :blush1: and i may need to exchange! the watermelon stuff is TDF! i want more! ya know i didn't get a r&s coupon and forgot to ask. oh well, i'll just buy online if i really want something.
oh i picked up the red heart tiger love dress to for cheap! i was hoping to snag one of those! :woo:
cruised by children's place and saw quite a few cute things i could go for. also hit baby gap and got this swimsuit. does this scream flower power or what? i LOVE it! only $15.99!

you bet i got the swimsuit  or i would have used this smilie in my post .
good thing i had changed my mind about the ruffle pants because they only had FOUR pr! and not one in 6-12! in fact i think they only had 3-6...it was the only blue/green item they were low on in baby girl.
i really liked a lot of SF.
gulp!
March 6th, 2005, 09:39 PM
In my excitement I forgot to mention that everyone's pics are adorable! Lexie is hysterical.
The store I went to sucked for past lines. They had nothing in 3/3T in WFF. That's going to be my new ISO. I want the same outfit Karri wants, but in a 3/3T, if anyone happens to see it. (Karri, they only had the pants in size 6 and up, and not a single one of the shirt, in any size.) If not, my new challenge will be to score some of it off GR or ebay for cheap!
I'm glad you found the suit, Kim. I actually looked in Burlington, but they only had two 3-6, and that's IT.

Hello!
I did a search in Google for "past gymboree lines" and this thread popped right up at the very top of the search results (which is probably why the view counts on your original thread are through the roof). Anyway, that was a few weeks ago and being the Gymboree nut that I am, I've been lurking here ever since, lol. So I thought I should at least post and say hello. ;)
And I also wanted to thank you for the links to Gymbohaven and NameThatLine. My daughter is 6 and I'm starting to sell her old Gymboree outfits on Ebay and those sites have been a HUGE help in tracking down what lines they came from!

Oh, and thanks everyone for the compliments/comments on my little actress! :) I love that picture and my hubby does not for some reason. Men!
Everyone looks so CUTE in their Gymboree! Katie was totally adorable in her Cherry Blossoms. :love2:
Yesterday I did a few returns at my local store. The 3T striped bike shorts and matching top. I saw the SF bag that someone mentioned here (gotta go back and see) AND I LOVE it! It has several pocket on the inside around the perimeter with hot pink material! I ALMOST bought it, but I figured I'd wait til R&S. They had 4 of them there and Lexie's daycare teacher works there as a side job, so hopefully she can hold one for me.
Oh and as we were leaving, my daughter spotted the matching SF flower beach towel and said she had to have it!
I love this outfit! (Lette and I have the same backdrop!
Yes, I love the white door! It's my favorite photo spot, as I like to see what the clothes look like with no additional *noise* However, sometimes I can't keep little brother out of the picture. :)
QOTD: Is there a new (or new to you :awink: )outfit you can't wait to put on your kid/kids?
Hmmm .. that's a tough one. Since we've tried everything on, the outfit I can't wait for her to wear is the denim ribbon shorts with the ice cream T. I love it! :love2:
She of course loves that darn dress and the bathing suit skirt! :)

Welcome Marie!!
I had to go to Gymbo yesterday to exchange the shirt I got Aidan (too big). So i took another look around. No WFF outfit. (thanks for checking, Kim). I should have gotten it during BG earnings, damnit! :complain:
I agree....the watermelon stuff is TDF and I know I am going to break down and get something for her. Can you believe I havent bought ANY SF? I like the watermelon better :dunno: I stocked up on some 'Splash' last year, so we have quite a bit of that for this summer. Plus we have a ton of NWT 'Cherries' stuff.
QOTD: Is there a new (or new to you :awink: )outfit you can't wait to put on your kid/kids? YES!!! I have the 'Cherries' swing dress and matching cardigan. I cant wait to put it on her. Its so freaking cute!!!!
For Aidan's party on Saturday, I put this dress on Norah

Jeff is like that sometimes, although he's never asked me to take something off the girls. He'll just say he doesn't like it, and won't chose it if he's the one getting them dressed.
I'm with Lisa, I wonder what he didn't like about it? :dunno:

They had nothing in 3/3T in WFF. That's going to be my new ISO. I want the same outfit Karri wants, but in a 3/3T, if anyone happens to see it. (Karri, they only had the pants in size 6 and up, and not a single one of the shirt, in any size.) If not, my new challenge will be to score some of it off GR or ebay for cheap!
Good luck with that. There isn't much of it on ebay, and it's not going for cheap! A pair of the cargo pants was up to like $40 when I was looking! I think I got lucky getting Madelynn's, but I got hers in a 2T.

QOTD: Is there a new (or new to you :awink: )outfit you can't wait to put on your kid/kids?
I can't believe I'm admitting this, but since the WFF shirt in a 2T was pretty tight on Madelynn I got a 3T off of Ebay and got Ava some cargo pants in a 12-18, so that they can have matching outfits. I can't wait. I like it when they match.

Hilary, I buy the girls matching stuff all the time.
The only size our store has left in the WFF cargos is a 6-12. :( The tops I think we have a 2T or 18-24. It sold fast!

You have a year to use it too, so I think I'm going to wait for fall stuff since right now she has enough summer stuff to wear an outfit a day for a loooong time

Karri~ Sorry to hear how DH reacted over that dress. :( Emma has the same one but it is way to big for her. I tried to put it on her for a party but it looked like a nightgown to me since it was so long.

Anyway, I got these off the clearance rack last week when I went in to do my holds. We can use the pants with other things (matches well with the light blue SFF sweater) and while the top is cute, I'm thinking about returning it. It was about $14. I guess I'm just starting to feel a little guilty because there are other SF stuff that I want to get. (so this sale didn't "earn" me anything and wasn't redeemed by Gymbucks either)
http://www.gymbohaven.com/dandel89.jpg
http://www.gymbohaven.com/dandel39.jpg
I also got this GC off the clearance too:
http://www.gymbohaven.com/BGanim47.jpg
I didn't really mean to do it, but I now got a complete GC outfit just from trying to get some Gymbucks.
And speaking of finding Gymbucks- someone at GR posted that their Play and Music center was holding a special on Gymbucks- purchase $50 of play and music and get 3 Gymbucks. I called 2 centers in my area. One was only giving out Gymbucks for enrollment and the other one isn't even doing it.

QOTD: Is there a new (or new to you :awink: )outfit you can't wait to put on your kid/kids?
I want to put janelle in her new watermelon outfit and her sunshine day dream dress! Probably could today if we were going anywhere as it is like 55 degrees out, but we still have snow and then of course mud from the snow, and it's raining/thunderstorms...so I don't think so. Tomorrow it's going to be 25 again.
I can't wait for Caid to fit into that alphabet soup outfit I posted a picture of him in last week!

Holy moly, Jillian! It's like a Gymbo store in your house! We'll just put your house down as a Tier 4.
O.k., shhhh... I just won an ebay auction for the WFF shirt! $17.50 plus shipping. Not bad, not great. Cargo pants will be harder, but she can wear that top with jeans or other khakis that I have for her, so it's not as pressing a priority.

How strange...well, I'll take the dress if Chris is that against it. No, really, my dh disaproves of janelle's clothes a lot...Ryan is VERY picky about clothes...I bought caid a plain gray 1 piece shorts outfit that says gap on it in navy blue for .10 at a yard sale and DH won't let him wear it cause it says gap... and he hates any bright dark pink on janelle...

DH nixed so many SF things that I was looking at yesterday in the store. I'll sometimes ignore him on stuff like this, but generally I try to find stuff that we're both o.k. with. He actually picked the bathing suit coverup that we bought.
I don't know why Chris hates the dress, it's pretty basic.

Thanks for posting that link, Kaari! I sell a lot of crap on ebay and those fees just suck! I always try to sell my baby clothes, first, though.
Re: The Dress  I took it off of her. And I think it was because of what Eva posted....the dress runs big. Its 12-18 and a cotton/spandex, but the darn thing was long and not tight. I actually think once she's taller and bulks up a bit (if she ever bulks up), it will look better on her. Maybe this fall :dunno: Well, its no longer NWT :( Now its NWOT. Damnit. Hopefully she'll get to wear it!

Does anyone know if the older sizes (vintage) ran bigger? If so how much bigger? I just recieved my ebay purchases (Indigo Floral from 1999) and they look huge. The tag says X-small (1-1/2 years to 2 years) but it is definately a lot bigger than the clothes I just bought in 18-24 months. Not sure if they will fit her this year but no biggy since eventually they will fit.
Karri

Eva --someone posted in the last thread that the older sizes did run bigger. I am not sure how much, though.
Colleen
March 7th, 2005, 03:03 PM
Yes, the older stuff does run bigger, because they didn't have as many sizes. The ranges were larger. Now, since the sizes are broken down more, you'll notice things run truer to size instead of overly huge.
Say for example, back then, the 12-18 ran 28in-31in. Now it runs 29in-31in.

I was searching ebay because there are none in the stores close to me and none online. Ebay has been my instant gratification fix when I can't find stuff. The one I was looking at was $19.99 BIN plus around $5 for shipping. The regular price is $22 so I thought it was close enough. I just called my Gymbo store. The one by my office will replenish on Wednesday. The one by my house will replenish on Thursday. I'll try to see first if I can get it at the store. If not, I'll pm you-- thanks so much for your offer!
Is the bag calling you too? I saw the pockets and fell even more in love with it!
Regarding reselling stuff- I may end up just selling stuff here if ever. I really want to avoid doing ebay if I can help it. (I think it's too much work when there's such a good market here already!). Lauryn is wearing her zebra stuff today and I suddenly felt sad that she may not be able to wear this stuff by next fall.

I think it depends, I have a couple vintage x-small dresses that I swear are as big as the size 3 dress I just got today, but kincaid's 1 piece romper from 1999 is the only 9-12 month item he has outgrown so far.

Ok.. so all of a sudden I *get it* about buying gymbucks.
1) I'm an addict
2) I HAVE to have a few items
3) I'm worried they'll be sold out before R&S.
So, can an expert here tell me what the going rate is for 1 Gymbuck?
I've been emailing with someone from Craigs List that has 6, but I only need 3.
She said to make an offer. What's a good price?

Oh and a funny story. My hubby actually went with me to the store on Sunday. He'd been there for our fashion show on Saturday and now he was seeing the rest of the line. HE actually pointed out the SF tote bag to me and I told him it was an item I was looking at, but I didn't want to pay full price for.
So we left.
Yesterday we were talking and he told me that at daycare drop off, he told Kari (Lexie's teacher that also works at Gymboree) to hold one of those totes for us! WITH NO PROMPTING FROM ME! I was shocked. He must really like Spring Fun! :flower:

 I'm glad your hubby seems like like Gymbo! It's so much easier that way when you keep coming home with bags of stuff. :lol2:
As for the Gymbucks, the going rate seems to be $11 or $12 shipped for them. Don't pay more, and if you can get them for less, then great!!!!
Oh, and for anyone who's looking, we have about 8 of the SF totes in our stockroom, so if anyone wants one, LMK.

Carolyn looks great in those colors! I know I'm going to have the palest child on earth but I'm still hoping she'll look good in them
I'd offer her $8 each and see what she says, Lette

Marie - I like the khaki colored ones, personally :dunno:
Carolyn looks great in her gymbo!!
Ok --after seeing all the DW stuff, I am reeeeally kicking myself for not buying it. Argh. Tis ok. I am watching some Golf Pond instead
:woo: my HnS dress came yesterday (again, thanks, Kim!) and Chris actually said he really liked it  Of course, I know he partial to Norah in anything blue (i need to remember this any time I buy her any blue gymbo lines  )

Thanks girls... I offered her $25 for 3 of them. She's got 6. :owow:
Hopefully she's really local so I can pick them up instead of mailing.

I forgot to answer my own question.
Now that we've tried everything on, out of the stuff that's sitting in Avery's closet, I can't wait for her to wear....

Fashion Show time..... I got Avery to try on a few of the outfits yesterday, but she was super crabby since she was running a fever. She's much better today and way more willing to model. Except I had to chase her around the house to take pictures.
Love the green stuff!

While this was cute, I wasn't bowled over. Plus, the ribbon shorts were HUGE in the waist. The outfit was returned:

In fact, the fashion show took place over 2 hours ago, and Avery refuses to take off the bikini.
Also not pictured but returned was the hot pink lolipop tee and hot pink ribbon shorts. The shorts were too big, and the tee was just okay. Since this is still technically a spring line, I need to pace myself. There's going to be lots more (cute) stuff to come. :aok: So, I'm only keeping stuff I'm totally gaga over.

She is adorable... and I'm relieved that I'm no longer the only one with a toddler and a pacifer in pictures.
I love the ribbon tank and striped bike shorts...we may have to get those!
I took some more pics yeasterday, but dh unplugged my camera and I can't reach the back of the computer to plug it back in...I'm sad that we can't do a real fashion show, considering most of the stuff I bought is 18-24 months and won't really fit either of my kids yet.

Do the Gymbo stores take "orders" for holds? Like if I told them what I need, will they hold it for me when they get their stock in?
Or do they normally wait for stock to come in before taking requests?

Colleen, I love the pics! So cute! I find myself really liking that bathing suit for Courtney.. but for some reason, I cannot commit to it... probably because I already have a bathing suit for her, and while we live at the beach, I just don't see myself putting her in a bathing suit a lot... but a girl can change her mind, I suppose.
Karri, I too am a huge DW fan... I bought tons for Caroline. When I find a line I love, I tend to go a bit crazy. I guess that's what happens with Gymbo! :)

Colleen~ Great pictures. I love the Miami Vactaion bikini. Too funny that she didn't want to take it off. :)
Marie~ I prefer the khaki capris as well.
Lisa~ Carlyn looks adorable in her SF. I got Emma the first outfit as well and love it. :)
I took some pictures of my little model in her new gymbo today and then went to load them and noticed that the card reader isn't connected. :( DH just got a new computer and is working on it so I have to wait to post them. :(

They usually will want to wait until their stock comes in and then you can ask. You never know what'll come in replenishment anyway.

Now she's getting the hang of it! Lauryn said "Mommy, take a picture of me!" She's in complete mod zebra gear.

..now if she would only be as easy with trying on the clothes! She has to be in the mood to do a fashion show.
I was thinking today- while I was looking at the blizzard-like weather we had this morning, that by the time Lauryn gets to wear any of the WFF stuff I got from the last Gymbucks redemption, that they'd all be on the clearance rack! She hasn't even tried any of these on:
http://www.gymbohaven.com/wildfl24.jpg This dress actually looks too small but I don't yet know for sure.
These will probably fit but I must say, I'm not crazy about them. I hope they grow on me.

WFF has grown on me, but I still have only bought the basic tees and capris... I just don't love it, and I keep thinking of how dirty those light colors will get... I'm hoping to get Caroline to really pose for me one of these days... most days she refuses to even look at the camera, and Courtney is also at that stage of crawling for the camera!!
Bonnie

OK... I do have one pic of Caroline in some of her Gymbo where she is actually posing... one of my favorite lines, Whale Watching (just the raincoat and leggings) I know I'll never get her to do a fashion show :(

And grown with love...obviously way too big, but it has elastic around the wrist so the sleeves stay up...Janelle thinks it's a night gown and will NOT take it off... So we may get years and years of use out of this dress...first as a night gown and later as an actual dress.

uhhg, that's our plan for April...the kids are only getting "bites", as Janelle calls them, in the crib and car...we did that back when Janelle turned 1...but then Kincaid came and in order for her to let him keep his in his mouth she needed one too.

I've seen some of the managers at my store do this and I've also taken an order for someone. I just write their name, number and what they want and stick it up on our corkboard in the back so when stock comes in, someone will see it and hold if for the customer. I'm not sure if every store is like that though.

These are the pictures we took last week...ignore the horrible walls we are in the process of painting (which is why they were orange in today's pictures) and that was post tearing down the horrible hideus '70's pinstriped wall paper but before scrubbing off the glue.
This is the outfit I'm trying to ID, it is from 1999...it's size 9-12 months...if anyone happens to see it anywhere in a bigger size (any size) let me know!
http://www.jocose.net/pics/gymbo/rocket.jpg
Janelle in watermelon, it's 12-18 months and it fits great!!! You can even tell they are meant to be capris...I'm very excited about this!
http://www.jocose.net/pics/gymbo/watermelon1.jpg
Not a good pic of either kid, but a great pic of her hat!
http://www.jocose.net/pics/gymbo/watermelon2.jpg
Kincaid in the go bananas romper...it's also 12-18 months (as was the great bambini shirt in the last post I did) so my kids are officially in the same size now.

This is also 12-18 months, and I could not get the hat to stay on...caid in cutie pie...I can't wait till next winter so he can wear the rest of this stuff!!!

I was just lurking at the GR site. Supposedly there are some stores (like in San Francisco) that are getting Bonjour Provence early- as in tomorrow!
Someone also mentioned the Gymboree store by my office- supposedly it's the largest Tier 1. hmmm. Interesting.
I called my store tonight and had them do an "advance hold" for the SF tote. I may have to drop in tomorrow during my workday.

WOW - a girl leaves for 2 days and - KABOOM! - this thread explodes! I couldn't catch up on it all, but I did see a lot of cute kids!
I was lucky enough to get to a mall while I was in Cincinnati. Their Gymbo store was at least twice as big as ours and had tons on SALE! It must have been a tier 1 store. Here's what I got. I had 2 Gymbucks and I went over a bit. Total cost was just over $70 (originally cost over $280). GO ME!
to go with the dress I already got her:

Jillian, I love the Cutie Pie line, too. John has at least 75% of it. I would never have thought orange would look good on him, but it really does.
QOTD: I can't wait to put John in some of the Safari Adventure clothes. I think I'm most looking forward to this:

I live in Buffalo.
DH lived in Cinci for 7 years. Now BIL and SIL live there, so we go visit. Kenwood Mall is pretty close to their house. So, when we go to visit, I have to go to the Gymbo there, and DH has to go to Blue Ash Chili. And when IL's go to visit BIL/SIL, I call the Gymbo at Kenwood for Tier 1 items I want, and MIL goes and gets them for me.

Thanks Colleen!
So I went downstairs to repark my car (the garage was full when we got in so I parked outside and since it's so incredibly cold today, I wanted to move the car indoors. Nothin' like negotiating with a toddler while your standing in the freezing cold becaust they're taking their time getting to the car!) and as I started the ignition, I just said, shoot, I'm just gonna go for it. So I went and passed 3 traffic lights and found myself at the Gymboree store. :bolt:
The funniest part of this "recon rendezvouz" was that I overheard the SAs talking. One said,
"Can you believe someone called this morning asking if we're going to have the new lines out? Now why would we want to do that? :screwy: "
I should have outted myself huh! :locolaugh
Well, they haven't replenished anything!!!!
I contemplated asking one of the SAs but they were already fending people off so I just looked around. There are only 2 SAs working on the floor so it'll probably take them a while to get to things.
Patience.Patience.Patience.
Well the good news is that I kept myself from buying anything. Made it to and from the store in 25 minutes and got good parking in the garage.

Note from shopping today - Kohls has tank tops very similar to the SF ribbon tanks, in other colors! white tank with pink/green ribbon, pale green tank with blue/green ribbons, purple tank with purple/blue ribbon, etc. (and a HECK of a lot cheaper than Gymbo, at only $4.99! :aok: )

I must say-- I love Kohls!!! I got Lauryn some Sonoma brand capris there last Spring. They fit well, and also washed well. I got them in a 4T so she'll wear them again this Spring. AND CHEAP TOO!!!

Won this on Ebay NWT for $12.50 shipped:

I just really like those colors, and I like SSDD better than SF, even though I still bought a lot of SF... I really want some of the tanks from last summer in size 3, but so far, no luck... I think the 2Ts are going to get too small... this is what they look like if anyone runs into any...I like the ribbon tanks OK, but these were cuter IMO

Somebody from GH said that a SF store did get the BP line in! She bought stuff with her Gymbucks and took pics of what she bought but hasn't posted them yet. Here's the link if you're a member:

There's also someone offering to email pics of the lookbook.
See, I'll have to tell my Tier 1 SA that I'm NOT crazy!!!

It was, but I don't know if they didn't have them in smaller sizes too - don't have a reason to look there anymore!
Was that in bigger girl sizes, Anne?
Lyndee, I LOOOOOOOOOVE Kohls! I spent $93 this morning, between capris/shirts for me and shorts/spring pajamas/shirts for Caroline.

I'm kinda underwhelmed, mainly just because Caroline looks awful in yellow. But hopefully there will be enough blue to counteract that and still give me something to buy! :)

Anne, I think there is going to be a lot of blue and purple, IIRC from the lookbook. It's kind of hard to judge by looking at a few pieces, especially when you can't see the details.

I am loving all of the fashion show pics! Very cute!!
It's hard to tell from what I've seen so far, but I think I'm going to like this new line coming out. We are HUGE fans of blue and purple here!
Oh, and I scored two AWESOME deals recently....
This CAAB outfit was returned a few hours before I got to the store to redeem my gymbucks, so I snatched it up for only $8.50 for both pieces! It's a size 7, so it will be perfect for next fall! She had the same sweater last fall, but for $5 she'll be wearing it again next year, lol!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v34/adell/cuteasabutton5.jpg
And I won this Cotton Candy outfit on Ebay for only $3!!! The sweater is beautiful and the pants are so cozy soft. It's our absolute favorite outfit right now! (and lol at her posing... she kept insisting on having her hand up on the door like that)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v34/adell/cottoncandy1.jpg
As for the recent lines, the only thing we ended up getting was this.... which will be PERFECT for the beach!

What I love about Kohls- it's always nice and neat, there are no crowds and I can usually get the size I want. And then everything always rings up on sale!
I usually find cute shoes over there too.
OMG Mary--- I love that CAAB outfit! Lucky you!!! I'm always looking for CAAB on the clearance hoping someone returns something! We have that exact outfit and Lauryn is outgrowing the pants so I'm thinking about going to ebay and buying a 4 for next fall. That cardigan is awesome!!

I'm looking for this sweater from A Walk in the Woods line. Preferably in 6-9 or maybe 9-12 months. We have the bunny onesie and the purple pants for Easter and I thought the sweater would be good since it will be an early Easter this year.

Anyone else not that crazy about the new BP line? So far it's not doing much for me. I think it's mainly because my girls don't look good in those colors.
ETA - I'm going to my Gymbo store today and I wanted to mention that there is still quite a bit of My Pet Goldfish and Poppy Fields. There are a couple of those orange wrap around sweaters, goldfish overalls, etc. Let me know if anyone wants me to check for something. I get the 5% off with my VISA so that will help make up for any shipping costs.

I like the small ditsy print swing and bikers for sure. I think I need to see some more pr the market emboridered stuff. Don't like the tiered dress as much as I thought I would. :( And the overall large floral pattern isn't doing much for me in the pictures.
I reserve the right to change my mind once I see it in person though. I usually do.

I love that line too, I have a bunch of it, but it's all size 3, waiting for Caroline for the fall, except on sweater for Court I picked up for $11.99 last week... I loved those fall colors! I am also out of storage space and neither one of them will grow out of her current size fast enough!! Their dresser drawers are full, I have all of Caroline's hand me downs over at my IL's condo and I have 2 boxes under my bed of size 3 AND a big box of size 4 in my room that I need to find a home for... and yet I still cannot keep away from Gymbo or Ebay!!! I blame this thread.

Whew. I am officially out of storage space. I went through and organized everything. I don't know if it'll go on sale before R&S. ABL and PF is not marked down yet. I really don't see it getting marked down yet, simply because it's too new and popular. Stuff that sells well on it's own (or with GB in this case,) tends not to get marked down as quickly. My best educated guess is that while maybe a piece or 2 of the line may be marked down, it'll still be full price. SC was still 20% off right before and after Valentine's day. So I'm even wondering what they'll do with ABL and PF.

I'm back from the boutique sale and I found some cute things! I think I might be selling some of it in case anyone is interested. I think they only do Gymbucks 4 times a year and it was really odd that they did this lasy Gymbucks earning/redemption so close to the one in Dec/Jan. I haven't heard anything about any upcoming Gymbucks earning periods again. I think Colleen works more than me so she'd probably hear about something first.

No, they expire. The ones that you earned in February expire on March 13th.
Honestly, I'm not a fan of Gymbucks. Mainly, because as an employee I can't earn them but my discount is probably a bit better anyway. Also, it's just crazy in the store during redemption. I really hope they don't start doing them more.

Thanks Eleanor and Jillian!
My $50 isn't a Gymbuck, it's the enrollment bonus from the CC. ;) So I'm okay to save it until April, I think! I really don't think I could beat using my $50 bonus to earn a $25 GB... I'd wind up with $100 of s
