It's not a common major. It fell under the Environmental Studies program and I think it has to deal mostly with rivers and water flow. He had to take a helluva lot of upper level calculus to calculate water flow rates and other boring stuff. I think most hydrololgists work where it snows a lot. (which is obviously not here!)
He doesn't really use his degree; he takes care of golf courses now.

Ed has an associates degree in business from our local Community College. He intended to go on for a Bachelors degree but landed a great job with the Federal Government which he has had for nearly 16 years now. He actually made more than I did even when I was still working full-time and I have a 4 year degree in Business Administration and Finance.

Though I am told that those 'in the know' do NOT need to list the "Chapel Hill" part after, despite there being several UNC campuses... it is THE UNC...

Jeremy went to Washington State University, and graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Physics in 1998? I believe. He is currently studying under a professor at University of Washington, but will receive his Master's degree in Physics from Washington State University (hopefully) this summer. This has been the longest degree I have ever gone through, and I'm not the one doing the work!
His concentration in physics is ultrafast spectroscopy, and single bubble solumnessence.... just in case you were wondering. :rotflmao:

Lette ~ My Husband goes to Drexel!! We both work in Center City..
He also went to NY Tech (after graduating HS) but only did a year due to financial issues. He went back to school after 9 years away which was tough. He's in an accelerated program now so he goes every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It sucks but he'll finish much quicker than if he took classes one night a week (which he had been doing for a year)
