It is so gross and I want him to stop! For the past month Teddy has been spitting constantly. I don't know where he learned this dirty habit. He likes to see the little spits come out of his mouth, he calls them "fire works" (an obsesion since we saw fire works on New Years Eve) But some times big spits come out. If he gets mad at me or Ed or anyone he spits big wet spits right in our face! I have spit all over the floor in my house. I've tried putting soap in his mouth, poping him on the mouth, time out, ignoring it.......please help.
(I'm thinking that my problem is that I try too many things and I should stick to one form of punishment.)

Taking a suggestion from Super Nanny:
How about trying a "naughty mat" of sorts... place it somewhere that he cannot see or interact with anyone... where he has to sit and have "alone time" and cant get anybody's attention... If he keeps spitting while on the mat, leave him there until he has stopped for 2-3 minutes - then get him to apologize for his behavior, then share some hugs and let him get off the mat.
I agree though, you need to find one thing and stick with it... I use a "naughty chair" for Kaitlyn and the daycare kids and it works wonders. I have it set in the hall where they cant get into trouble - nor can they see or interact with the other kids. Sounds mean - but I have no time or patience to sit and let kids misbehave all day long...kwim?
Good luck!

YIKES! I'm sorry, Elisete! I wish I had some suggestions. I do think one for of punishment is best. Good luck! :hug99:
