What do you think about their clothes? Styles? Quality?

When Emma was a newborn someone sent me an outift from there that I loved so when we finally got a store here last Summer I was excited. Unfortunately when I went there I was disppointed. Alot of the clothes at the time reminded me of teen clothes in baby sizes. I picked up a few sleepers which I heard were good and a jumper in the Fall but never bought anything else. Today I went and was pleasently suprised. They have some really cute Spring outfits and dresses. We were in a hurry so I didn'y buy anything. Also I was disappointed in tthe quality of the jumper I bought last time since it shrunk a bit.

I agree with you on the "teen clothing in baby sizes" - I'm NOT about to dress my 3 year old in off-the-shoulder or halter styles! Also, unless you have an exceptionally petite kid, I think their sizing is way off. Caroline, who is just barely wearing 4Ts in any other manufacturer, is practically growing out of a 5T from Children's Place! That's just not normal.....

For the most part, I like their stuff and definitely the prices. But I don't expect much from them in quality. The clothes I get there always shrink. But for $5-7 a pop and that she only wears them a few times, it doesn't bother me that much.

I selectively shop there. I bought a pair of pants from there when Hanna was one that were expensive but I couldn't pass them up -- they were embroidered with roses on them. Since then, I look for anything like that, that's unique in a way. And the quality on them were good. Same with her Christmas dress that I just bought for next year. I shop on the quality first.

i used to buy loads of stuff from there when my niece was a toddler (she's almost 16 now!) they had the cutest stuff and the quality was great.

in the past few years i've not liked most their stuff at all, even for boys. i agree about the teenage look they were doing for kids! yuck!

however i was in there about a week ago and saw some cute spring stuff.

there is a children's place outlet near me and you can get some really good buys there. i got a fleece once piece snowsuit for gianna for only $9!

We have an outlet too, and I can always score great deals there!!

As far as the store goes, its really hit or miss. We've gotten some really cute outfits, but I agree...some of it is just hussy-ish  Sometimes I can find really cute stuff there for the boys, especially Aidan, for pretty darn cheap :aok:

Their sweaters SUCK!!! I've gotten two of them...one for Norah, one for Aidan...both really cute...and had the same issues with both...they get holes in them :wtf:

I think a LOT of their baby girl clothes look way too grown up. But, I LOVE their sleepers, especially the stretchies, I just bought a ton of jammies there (I mean a whole lot) cause their blanket sleepers were 3.99 and the stretchies were 2.99, only in the polar bear and snowflake prints, but still, who cars if caid has 5 pairs of green snowflake jammies in august, they were jeep and he's just going to sleep in them. I bought all of the ones they had left in 12m-36m.

I also like their onepiece shorts rompers for caid for the summer when he is just going to be at home or we are going somewhere he is going to get dirty, I got a ton of them last year for 1.99.

For awhile they were the only pants Janelle could wear, but now even they are way too big for her and fall off...so frustrating, no one makes pants for skinny toddlers.

Caid's wearing a red TCP sweater in my signature, I've had no issues with it, but then again, he's only worn it 3 times and it's only been washed twice. And my goodness, it is HUGE, caid has been wearing size 12m clothes since he was 5 months old, that is a 3-6 month sweater and we had to roll up the sleeves!

The only thing I found I like from TCP is their blanket sleepers. The layette clothing is okay, but I am not a fan of their girl's clothing. I agree....teen clothing for toddlers. :( Blech. :dead: MIL bought the girls matching outfits from there and they don't fit (too small for Avery, too big for Sabrina) so now I am sitting on $70 worth of merchandise credit I can't spend. I'm hoping they have some decent looking summer basics I can spend the MC on for the kids to play in.

Matthew had a Christmas sweater from there for his first Christmas and it got a hole in it too after the first washing :complain:

I find cheap accessories, etc. in the outlet (ours is a combo outlet and regular store). I usually find good deals on summer stuff for the next year (swim trunks, t-shirts, etc.). When Matthew was smaller, their stretchy jammies were awesome :aok: I haven't really looked at their girl stuff yet, but now I'm scared

The only thing I have purchased from TCP are a few turtleneck onesies and 4 blanket sleepers. I found a great sale one day at the outlet mall and couldn't resist! I have been pleased with the items I have.

Jillian

Ohh yea, I buy almost all our tights from there too, they go on sale for .99 during the "monster sales" so I stock up.

It's hit or miss here too. I really liked their stuff when Alex was just tiny, but they seem to have gone downhill. I used to get Dylan stuff there too, but I agree with the "teenage stuff for babies" and I don't even want my 10 year old dressing like that.

Mandi
February 12th, 2005, 10:26 AM
Hit or miss with me too. It seems like they either have totally adorable stuff or it's all ugly. Not alot of in-between. :dunno: The girls do have some stuff from there and I've never had any issues with the quality though. :dunno: Maybe I just got lucky.

It is hit or miss with me too. There really is not a lot of selection at our store in the mall. Sometimes I find cute things though. It looks like I will have to check out their spring line for little girls...

One thing though, I love their socks! I swear they are the only socks that will stay on Lindsey's feet, and they are reasonably priced.

Jillian
February 12th, 2005, 05:21 PM
We stopped in at tcp yeasterday, I like quite a bit of their little girl lines for this spring, but not much of the baby stuff. But, it looks like their green easter accessories will match the green gymbo dress really well, I'll look closer once I actually buy the dress.

Marcella
February 13th, 2005, 02:32 PM
I do find *some* of their little girl clothing to be too grown up looking, but I can certainly find plenty that looks age appropriate to me. :dunno: Just like when I shop in Gymboree, I don't *gasp* like everything I see in there! I do like TCP sleepers, and I'll usually buy a few items per season from there. I agree that the quality is not great.. but you get what you pay for. The prices are generally very low, so if my daughter only wears an item a few times before it shrinks or looks overly washed or whatever, I don't sweat it.

I like TCP for my children. They have a great line for older kids as well. I love Baby Gap and Old Navy a bit better though. I also love Hanna and Gymboree. :)

TCP is hit or miss for us as well. But I mean that only for Alyssa. I think a lot of the girls clothing is to teenish..I don't want my child looking like that. However I think they have some really nice holiday clothes (christmas Dresses, easter..and what not) I often get a few summer things there because they have a lot of the mix and match items! CHEAP!

For Tylor (my 9 year old boy) I love them. I have never ever had a problem with their sweaters. I think he has one from ever line the have (we go to church every single sunday) Their Jeans are great for him and they have great sales on their t-shirts and turtlenecks! I think I bought Tylor 7 t-shirts about a week ago. They were on sale for 2.47 each. How could I pass that up.

I am so confused by their sizing for pajamas.

The heavy sleepers are huge... Carolyn finally fits into the 18m ones after a recent growth spurt. I just bought some of the cottom sleepers, 18m and they barely fit!

Is it just me?

Jillian

Janelle and kincaid both have on 12m blanket sleepers from the children's place right now.

Trish
February 28th, 2005, 11:10 AM
I don't love the place, but I have hit the outlet and gotten some good deals on shorts and shirts for the next year :aok:

I was just in the one in our mall last week and got both of the boys some cool orange hooded sweatshirts for, I think, $8 a piece and I didn't think that was bad :dunno:

I have a few of their sleepers and I like them and don't see a problem with the sizing?

Denise

Are you sure that blanket sleeper isn't mis-sized? TCP has that problem a LOT, especially with jammies! We got like 4 preemie sleepers that were marked 3-6 months in the halloween print back when janelle still wore preemies....they gave half off them for them being mis-sized.

LisaBelle
March 2nd, 2005, 08:00 AM
Nope, we have 3 of them  But they fit her ok now... still a little big but they fit. She had a growth spurt the past 2-3 weeks... just in time to get use out of them  I also double checked to make sure they were the right size (says 18m on the label on the sleeper).

I like the TCP clothing and have never had a problem with the quality; the employees actually know me by now. I do agree that the sizing is too small but I think all manufacturers clothing sizes vary on kids so I just know to buy them a size bigger. No biggie to me.

I really like TCP, and find them quite affordable. Some of their toddler stuff is a bit older looking, like the current black/white/pink stuff, but most of it I find very age appropriate. Emily LOVED her butterfly onesie shirt last summer, so this year I'm hoping to get her a butterfly polo shirt. I've only had one quality issue, and that was with sunglasses I bought her last summer. Molly's Christmas dress for this past season came from there, and the girls are each wearing older TCP outfits in my signature...the black velvet dress, top and tights Molly has on were Riley's, then Emily's, and now hers...still looks new! Emily's top and matching jeans came from a yard sale, barely looked worn. Size wise I havne't had any trouble...Emily's in a 3T from just about everyone, and Molly's in 12 months.

Definitely like the outlet stores!! Scored some incredible deals two summers ago, and hoping to do it again this summer.

So, I placed an online order from TCP on Saturday and it still hasn't shipped! Is this normal? I'm kind of pissed, because Madelynn will only wear zipper pj's, so I ordered her 2 pairs of their strechies and wanted them for my trip, but I'm leaving on Tuesday. There is no way they are going to make it.

Dawn

Hilary, Hmn...I never ordered anything from TCP online so I wouldn't know. Is there a tracking.....so that you can track to see where it's at or the estimated delivery date? I hope you get them on time. Those stretchies are great!

Mandi

Well, TCP does it again. Gotta love their prices. I had to start on Brandon's fall wardrobe and got a bunch of stuff for about $130.

This set is so cute I got them in blue and beige
http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/media/dp-072005-17_01.jpg

I pretty much bought this whole entire line. At about $6/piece, I got most of the knit pants in 2 different sizes-- 9 mos and 12 mos so they'll last a little longer (since I can't expect each piece to hold up very well- and they do age pretty fast).

Yea, I agree.

I've been meaning to stop by TCP one of these days....to check out some fall stuff and see how their sales racks look too, to maybe try and buy some play summer clothes for them next season. A few weeks back, they had an awesome clearance on summer stuff. I believe I paid $4 each for tops w/ matching shorts and in all the colors....for play summer clothes for this season. I don't kow why I didn't think to buy ahead for next season too. :blue: Anyway, the sets I got are great (and cute!)! Alexia got great use out of them, and still is, especially seeing that she goes to summer camp....and of course I got some matching stuff for Angelina too so they can match/coordinate. ;)

ETA: Lyndee, the stuff you got is adorable...and you got so much for so cheap! Gotta love TCP clothes for daycare and play wear.

I am a fan of TCP- I can always find something there. And they're always so cheap and they send out coupons all the time. I had a 15% off coupon on top of all the sale stuff that I bought. When I buy at TCP, I never have to agonize over my purchases.

I got some great "fourth of july" swimsuits and water shoes last year for Caleb, but since then nothing but some baby socks for Ahna.

I've heard so many people tell me their quality is not good (and I haven't ever been a fan of the boy clothes) that I typically go in about once every few months. As compared to Gymbo, Gap, etc... once every ten seconds. :silly:

I've never had quality issues at all....but then again, Alexia wears her clothes very well (she's like her Mamma ;) ) Also, you have to remember....gymbo, gap, etc. may have better quality but there's a price tag to it, kwim? With TCP I like how I can dress my girls in cute stuff and not having to worry about them staining/messing it up (like I would Gymbo  ). When they wear TCP, I feel I can be more 'relaxed' about it...if that makes sense. I love TCP for more of their play-ish clothes or even going out clothes too (preschool, etc.), without the worry of something drastic happening to it.

ETA: Ditto to what Lyndee said about the coupons. As a matter of fact I have 15% coupons around somewhere good until Sept. something. Need to go find it....

I've had fading and shrinking issues with a few things but not really a big deal considering their prices. But I also have had some excellent pieces so it all comes out even in the wash  I was looking at Gap, Old Navy and Gymbo for Brandon's fall clothes and I just couldnt find anything I liked. I loved a lot of the boy stuff at TCP. I probably could have bought more! Dawn- I couldn't find my coupon when I went in the store but I was actually prepared to pay full prices. Then things all rang up on sale and then the SA gave me a coupon! So, yes, what's not to love!

Jeni

I love their clothes for school clothes and what not. Alyssa fits so well in their jeans and they wear really well. She has been wearing them for over a year now and are so darn cute! I actually just bought 4 more pair for this fall. They were 2 for $22 so how can you beat that! The Jeans will be great for preschool. I also buy their hooded sweatshirts, jeans, and T's for Tylor for school. They wear so well on him. He is short and little but the clothes are made to fit him. ILOVE THEM!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE TCP! I have never had one problem with quality, although the sizing can be weird..some things small, some things big. I just spent $200 in there over the past couple of weeks. I think it's so odd that so many of you find their clothing too be teenish because I'm pretty anal about dressing my kids like babies/toddlers and I find their clothing to be completely age appropriate. :dunno:

here's my finds :)

Well, I took you advice ladies and went into TCP today and you are right - cute! I should have clarified what I didn't like about it before (now that so many of you have said the quality thing is NOT an issue). The main store I've always gone to is always junked out and the clerks stand around like dead fish and speak to you in a monotone. I went to a different one today and had a totally different experience. Although true to my last three visits... not a single 2T on any of the boy stuff I wanted.

I did pick up a few things for Ahna, including one of those supersoft fluffy baby jackets and a cute hat! And you are right about the prices! :sunny:

I finally went to TCP website. I do like some pieces but how is the quality. I know some of you said it is good for daycare and stuff. Lauren doesn't go to daycare so I really don't need clothes just for daycare. I am pretty picky on quality. Would love some input.

Lyndee
August 27th, 2005, 11:33 PM
I would say it's good for daycare because it's cheap and even if it gets stained, I'm not crying over a $20 T-shirt.

It's pretty inconsistent. Quality-wise, I think the some of the clothes wear out pretty fast. A few washings and they look really worn- unlike Gymboree. But, I have gotten some things that have looked just fine. Lauryn has some henley shirts from 1.5 years ago that we still have. I actually tend to not have Lauryn wear her TCP clothes as much especially if I really like the outfit- just so I can make it last longer (it's backwards, I know).

I do like their designs and for the fall, I've gone crazy over their boy stuff!

This is really odd to me because I have never had any problem with TCP quality. Julia is quite hard on her clothes (she's SO active) and I've never had any complaints. Colors stay vibrant, embroidery is solid, hems are sturdy, shrinkage is minimal (if any) to non-existent...Julia has Gymbo clothes also and I don't see a difference in QUALITY. JMHO. :dunno:

The TCP stuff that I've had and seen on my friend's kids fades really fast.

Hmmm... I still do Julia's clothing separate from ours and use cold water and F&C for washing, maybe that makes a difference?? :dunno: How strange!!

Maybe I will just wait until I get home and buy a couple of shirts and see how it goes. I actually remembered last night an outfit Lauren got from someone as a gift when she was one and she only ever wore it once because the shirt was SO thin and it looked dindgy after one wash. But like some of you said, its hit or miss. Not that I need another kids store to be buying Lauren clothes! I know I can't compare it to gymboree.. maybe thats my problem!

Dawn

Dori, I agree with Lyndee in that if something gets really dirty or stained, it's easier not to cry over a $15 or $20 shirt. That's why for me, I really like it for preschool....and to wear whenever, whereas with Gymbo clothes we may avoid wearing it at certain times.

I've never had quality issues either. Clothes are washed seperately in whatever water the tag states and hung to dry....never had any fading issues, etc. Jeans may shrink a little if I can remember (it's been quite some time that I've bought from TCP). But I have the most cutest outfits, that once Angelina gets bigger she will be able to wear that was once Alexia's. They still look in excellent condition and also another thing too....my kids have so much clothes that they really never wear their outfits 20 times, know what i mean, so they've never been 'worn to the ground', so to speak. The last time I bought was when Alexia was 2 1/2 yrs. old and I got alot of stuff for when she started preschool. The sweaters and stuff I bought all held their shape and looks like they haven't been worn (maybe worn 6 times)....as a matter of fact, Alexia will be able to wear some of them again this year. I think maybe there's the possibility of some certain select pieces shrinking/fading easier, maybe? Since some pple had probs like that. :dunno:

I agree, when you get back, go to TCP in person and check it out. You can't go wrong for the price.....and not sure if I just picked up the good stuff or what...but like I said their clothes held up very good. I'm also finicky about quality and for me, if the quality that I've seen was poor, I would of stopped getting stuff from them. Alot of outfits I have gotten from there also held tons of compliments from pple too. :)

Thanks Dawn! When Lauren starts going to preschool (I shudder to think) maybe I will get some pieces from TCP for that. Or for now, when we are just putzing around the house for the day. I will check it out when I get home!!

I remember now I got some sleepers from there and I don't remember having a problem with them!!

I am really fond of their embroidered pieces ... they've not every day wear but could be worn for play or dress up. Yesterday I bought her the cutest little pleated jean skirt that had various coloured embroidered flowers on the hip.
I would rather buy TCP over Gymboree for every day wear because of the huge cost difference.

I like TCP for basics - particularly their onsies. I got a bunch of onsies/tshirts/tank tops for Rayna for next year cheap. Also, I just won the cutest outfit on ebay though, skirt top and jacket for $15!!

Dori, ah yes you reminded me when you spoke of the sleepers....I use to get Alexia's stretchies (one piece pj's) from TCP! They were GREAT! However, I think they are in the garbage, or will be, only because with these she has worn them to the ground but she's got plenty of use out of them! Even to the point of me cutting off the feetsies when a hole would appear in the toe from wearing them so much/often! Then after that, it gets tossed!

Sandy - cute outfit and the price is great!

and I used the 25% off (didn't see the thing about free shipping:( ) to order her halloween costume online.
This is the costume, I bought a long sleave green bodysuit for under it and Im hopping they will have green tights some where as more costumes come out.

I shop at TCP so much that the staff knows me there and I've never had a problem or complaint about their quality. The only thing I do notice with their clothes are they tend to run small and may have a tad bit of shrinkage. But since I shop there so much for Jada I know what size to get so I've never had a reason to complain. But like Dawn said, my kids (especially Jada  ) have soo many clothes, none of them get 'worn out' so that might make a difference.

I haven't had a problem with the quality of TCP stuff either. Practically all of Rebekah's clothes up through 3T came from there and I thought they held up great. I haven't bought her anything from there in a long time because I'm not crazy about the older girl stuff.

Just went shopping there last night for Daniel for next summer. Got 6 pairs of shorts and 6 t-shirts for less than $50. (all on clearance for $2.99 or $3.00 each)

I went to the TCP outlet in Branson this past week and practically wiped out the store. Interestingly, they had about 80% of the same merchandise as the regular store (same prices too) but also some clearance rounders and I bought a bunch of cute shirts for Ahna for next summer, plus some pants and then several pairs of cute tights and an outfit. Then as if that wasn't enough, we also hit the mall and went to the real store in Springfield, MO. I'm glad I did because I mentioned to the manager that I hated the TCP store in Oak Park Mall in Overland Park, KS because it was always grungy and the clerks stood around like lumps and just mumbled at you. She said they'd recently cleaned house in there, cleaned up the store and gotten all new staff - and she'd even gone in to help set things right. So I guess it wasn't just me who thought bad things about that location!

My favorite purchases for some reason aren't online, though they are in the regular store. A pink/red corduroy dress with flower appliques and matching white sweater with flowers and a leapord collar. And a little pink plaid cape with a matching floppy hat with a tassel. LOVE IT.

Bridget, I know the outfit your talking about! Cute! I'm glad they re-staffed that store....it sounded like it was awful!!!

I went again yesterday to another one to find something that the other store didn't have.

I got some basics for Alexia for knocking around, preschool, around the house, etc.:

This pink leoparde sweatshirt (they didn't have the matching plain hot pink sweatpants in her size)
http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/330598_m.jpg
2 pairs of basic jeans....one light blue and one in darker blue and these sneaks that match the sweatshirt:
http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/366890_m.jpg

And another basic long sleeved shirt in maroon that will match the outfit I got her the other day: http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/322199_s.jpg (http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=256801&langId=-1&exp=n&catTree=25851,26140,25925,26310&clearance=0)

I will probably put a white dress shirt under..and I also bought these ties that they had with it..

It is going to be her Christmas dress it is from TCP and is a velvet material and all the flowers and vines are all embriodered. It is to die for- it is so much cuter in person too. I think I am going to get a ivory t-neck or long sleeved shirt to wear underneath and ivory tights.

kara - if that were me, I would most likely do a darker color cord. Like dark blue or black.

I love that jumper! Alexia has a very, very similar dress almost just like that except the backround velvety part is red! I got it last year. It'll fit her again this year too (or at least I hope). She wore/will wear an ivory colored bodysuit with it that I also got at TCP when I got the dress. We also have the beret too. You got a great deal on that. It's adorable!

Are these http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/378126_s.jpg (http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=274197&langId=-1&exp=n&catTree=27151,27690,27314,27753&clearance=C) the lined windbreaker type pants? If so, I've been looking for a new pair for Alexia. Her dark blue ones w/ the white stripe down the sides have outgrown her a little. I think I got them from TCP too, at a good sale.

Also, does anyone know when that coupon code expires?

I couldn't find the info for the 20% coupon but I found one for 15% off until 2/20... the code is BBW16.
I'm gonna go ahead and try the 20% code first and see if it works :awink:

That is cute stuff. Need to check out TCP soon.

Here is more of the booty we got from Mellissa. As much as I love Gymbo, I have to say I think this line is absolutely my favorite! I got so many compliments on Rayna when she wore this. One lady even said - "she has got it goin on!" :lol2:

Here she is sans poncho

If any of you are planning to get this dress, I will say that it is on the short side. I bought it in a 4T and the length could easily fit a 2yo. SO I'd suggest going up a size.

I stopped in TCP and only got a couple things. Time was limited as I had to head home.

I got this for Alexia:

http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/381799_s.jpg (http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=272934&langId=-1&exp=n&catTree=25851,26140,25913&clearance=C) and this one for Angelina: http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/381773_s.jpg (http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=273500&langId=-1&exp=n&catTree=25851,26140,25913&clearance=C)

For only $7.49 EACH (regular price was $30.00), how could I pass it up?!?! It's perfect cuz Alexia's play jacket is getting a little too small on her & the hood annoys her (it's really furry on the edges), and I love the way these jackets feel and they are not bulky at all! Also, it's good for when they wear dresses and skirts cuz it comes alot longer! They were out of the pink :blue: I wanted to get that color for Angelina. But for that price, I really didn't care what color they had.

I also got these pj's for them both:
http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/431867_m.jpg (the bottoms are multi color stripes too...just thinner stripes). These were 2 pairs for $25.00.

I saw that dress today when I was there. It really is cute. But I wanted to get the matching shoes for Angelina as well, and who knows what size her feet will be at that time. TCP are the best for play clothes/knocking around. Your not paying alot so I don't have a heart attack if it gets dirty, etc.

Went to TCP today and walked out with this stuff. This dress is SOOOOO cute IRL!!! I fell in love with the orange and blue (much cuter in person)...and Dawn- you're right about it being not that expensive--- esp compared to gymbo-- but somehow I still spent $70!!

I've been wanting to ask if anyone else has had a problem like this...

I ordered a pair of the ruffled stretch cords in 'steam' and when I washed them the dye faded on one side. So they sent me a replacement pair and they have also faded in one area. It dye itself looks wrinkly, but the fabric is not wrinkled if that makes any sense. At the same time I ordered these pants, I ordered a top to match which has been washed and hanging in the closet waiting for the pants...I am giving up on these pants and wonder if they'd take the shirt back since it won't go with any of Catherine's other clothes. This was supposed to be one of her winter outfits and now it's almost spring so this was a total bust. I've also had a hard time getting the knees of her fleece pants clean - the dirt really seems to get ground deep into the fleece. Is that a common problem with fleece or just TCP fleece?

I haven't had any problems like that and have had both cord and fleece outfits from TCP. I also wash only in cold water and I wash all her clothes inside out...maybe that would help? I doubt they'd take the other shirt back but you sure could try!! Sorry you had such back luck - at our house their clothes have been awesone! :dunno:

I just got the kids Easter outfits in the mail last night and wanted to post some pics of them. I'm in LOVE with Lindsey's dress! It is so cute! I didn't get pics of DR because the sitter showed up, maybe after his nap I'll get a few of him. I do have to exchange his pants though. They are HUGE on him!!! I bought them in 18 months, but need to get them in 12.

I haven't been to TCP in a long time b/c the last few pieces of clothes I've gotten for the kids fell apart after just a few washings. Now I know they are not overly expensive, but come on!

I know my Mom got Micayla this outfit from TCP for her birthday. I just hope it holds up better than the other stuff. :crossfing

Alexia's bday was yesterday and she received a couple outfits from TCP.

http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/427048_c.jpg (http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=287652&langId=-1&exp=n&catTree=27151,28351,28352,53413) http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/423054_c.jpg (http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=286835&langId=-1&exp=n&catTree=27151,28351,28352,53413) Both are a size 4. However I'm worried about the skirt being really big. We still have to try it on and I may be bringing it back for a smaller size (the waist looks too big for her). I tell people size 3 for bottoms, and they still don't listen

The other outfit she got isn't online. But it's a pink and white gingham skirt, with a white belt and white ruffle hanging a little longer around the bottom of the skirt. The top is pink with rhinestones around the neckline. It looks as though there's a white tank top underneath, but it's sewn together and you also see the straps of the white tank. Cute.

She also got a white denim jacket.

Thanks Alyson! It's actually called 'apricot' ;) and it looks darling in person! I'm happy, because I don't think I need to return the size 4 skirt. I see there's an adjustable waist inside there, like how Gymboree does it....so I put both to hole #5 and it doesn't look ridiculously big. I don't ever remember TCP having adjustable waists...I think it's something new. :dunno:

Alyson

I think so to Dawn. That's good to know, cause TCP stuff is always too short on Brookelyn.. so that means I can buy a size big and adjust the waist :)

I used to get all of Dugan's jeans from there (before I discovered Gymboree) and they held up REALLY well. For other pieces from there I am just very selective. I might have start doing more shopping there (and ON) since I am trying to not even go into a Gymboree probably until there Fall stuff comes out....seriously!

I've been meaning to post some things I got for the girls several weeks back. I doubt they'll have all the stuff left on the site....

I got both girls this skirt. It is so adorable (moreso in person then this picture that's for sure). I mainly bought it for our vacation in Sept. to the Carribean. They are actually wearing it today as a matter of fact. :)

Tropical skirt:
http://content.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/471681_s.jpg (http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=301595&langId=-1&exp=n&catTree=25851,26140,25924,26301&clearance=C)

I got Alexia a bunch of different colored hater tops....
http://content.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/460759_s.jpg (http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=294517&langId=-1&exp=n&catTree=27151,27690,27317,27758&clearance=C) http://content.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/460551_s.jpg (http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=294508&langId=-1&exp=n&catTree=27151,27690,27317,27758&clearance=C) and in turquiose blue which they are out of online. I think I got one more color, and I can't remember right now  There is some rhinestone detail on the top.

Also for Alexia:
a bubble dress in this pink color (they don't have online but here is the bubble skort) http://content.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/459885_s.jpg (http://www.childrensplace.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=300643&langId=-1&exp=n&catTree=25851,26140,25924,26304&clearance=C) The top of the dress comes very similar to the halter top above)

For Alexia a striped bubble skort w/ all different colored stripes. She can wear any one of her halter tops w/ it. For Angelina the same striped one, but in the bubble dress.

And a pair of platform flip flops for Alexia.
http://www.childrensplace.com/www/b/TCP/images/styles/474578_m.jpg

And a bunch of socks to match all their stuff....yellow, orange, pink, purple, etc.

I took a picture of Alexia in her outfit today. Ang was napping so I don't have a pic of her yet. Ang is wearing her skirt with the pink top though. :)

Thanks for the compliments Mellissa, Bridget, and Mandi. :) That outfit is one of my faves from TCP. Everyone complimented the girls on it...it looks so 'tropical' and summery (let alone the fact she can wear it with the other colored hater tops w/ matching socks too  I got her a couple more colors the other day!)

Mandi, too bad your store never has anything good. :blue: I went again a couple days ago, because the summer stuff is marked down super low. But of course there wasn't anything left in Ang's size. I need to hit an outlet though, they will have more stuff.

I am sure that any of you that shop here know that they are having their back to school coupon...but in case anyone needs a coupon (good online and in store) I have an extra one. I am not sure if they are code specific or if the code is general, if you would like the coupon I can either email you the code or send you the physical coupon in the mail. Just send me a PM. The coupon is good on all transactions between now and September 4. If you use it at the store, they give it back to you so that you can use it again. I did pick up a really cute outfit for Isabelle there today:

OK- eek! We met up with MIL this week, and she bought some stuff she'd got on clearance for the girls at TCP- including that leopard sundress for Isabelle, with the matching denim skirt for Rebecca  Of course, the girls loved them  They wanted to wear them right out to dinner- fortunately we have a policy of washing before wearing anything...and the clothes are now hiding in the back of the closet in hopes they are forgotten about!

Hi Eva :-)
I know what you mean. I loved their baby clothes, and still see lots for the wee ones that are sweet, but overall I'm not big on their over 2 clothing. Some of it is well made, but a lot of it isn't, so I find I have to be very picky if I indulge in something there. That being said, they do put out some quality items at time -- very hit and miss, though, IMO.

Oh no Eleanor!!

Ya know, I really think TCP just has a different philosophy on children's clothing than most other stores. Instead of making styles and colors that reflect adult fashions (ON, GAP), they use colors and designs that kids are more drawn to. Hence, why your kids loved the rainbow leopard print

After looking in 3 different stores I finally found this top in 3T :woo:

and tights:

Love this jumper:

but I decided against it since last Fall I went overboard with jumpers. Not to mention I already have 2 for her this Fall.

They have some new outfit ideas posted on TCP website and I really LOVE this outfit for Dugan. On the website though, they have limited sizes of certain items, so I might have to run to a store before the 15% off coupon expires
