Ok, we're getting down to the nitty gritty and I have to get this kid a middle name  See my previous thread here (http://www.onceuponalife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13938&page=1&pp=25) .

Paul and I have talked about it a little and he's really no help. I'll make a poll with a combination of what he's come up with and I've come up with and you can help us decide!

I've left off Matthew's choices of "Nocona" and "Matthew's sister"

BTW: our last name starts with a vowel - an E.

I love Nicole as a middle name. It seems to go well with a lot of names. :)

I'm sticking with my first choice - Sara Kate.

I like Sara Nicole the best with your last name. Sara Grace would be my second fav.

I think I like Sara Jane the best.
Sara Katherine would have been my top, but Sara Kate makes me think of an Olsen twin.

I still like Sara Jane the best.

I like Sara Kate the best, but I also like Sara Grace

I wouldn't use Sara Jane because there are a lot of them out there. A lot of people just assume my name is Sarah Jane, or just call me that for the heck of it. Kind of annoying.

Man... it was hard to type Sara without an "h" in this post!

I like Sara Jane.

You do realize if you use Sara Elisabeth that her intials will be SEE right?

I voted Sara Kate, but I might reconsider...without sharing your actual last name, is it short or long? I worry that Sara Kate Exxx might be too short. :dunno: I feel like Sara Jane and Sara Nicole are more "predictable" and I don't like them as much as Sara Grace, Sara Kate or Sara Elisabeth - the latter I also like but as Hilary said, you get SEE which I thought you wanted to avoid?

I liked Sara Elisabeth until you said your last name started with an E. I like Sara Grace the best.

They all sound great. I love Sara Grace the best though. My IRL GF has a daughter named Sara Elizabeth. While I love the name Elizabeth, I think the a at the end of Sara and the e at the beginning of Elizabeth blend too much.

gulp!
February 10th, 2005, 01:57 PM
I voted for Sara Jane, b/c I really like Jane as a middle name. (Gee, who would've guessed that? )

But honestly, I like them all. I think you can't go wrong with any of them, though the only one that spells anything is Sara Elizabeth. And they all sound fine with your last name.

Gee, I'm a lot of help.

...without sharing your actual last name, is it short or long??
answering for Nocona..... its midsize. And its more than one syllable.

The only one I am not crazy about it Elisabeth. I like the name, but it doesnt flow well with Sara. Sara Grace is my second last choice. When saying it with your last name, I am not crazy about how it sounds.

Sarah Kate is my #1 choice. Then Sara Jane. Then Sara Nicole as #3.

I think Sara Nicole is very pretty. And I like Sara Grace. I think the difference between the two of them would be how they sound with your last name.

Regarding the SEE initials... guess who came up with Elisabeth? Paul. I said you know it spells something, right? And he said he doesn't care because it's not like his or anything  Whatever.

Yes, Alyssa, it's 2 syllables and 6 letters.

A 3 way tie is not helping

I should also add that my (retarded) husband decided the other day that we could name her Sara Elisabeth and call her Beth :wtf: Good thing I have some sense.

February 10th, 2005, 03:30 PM
you had the good sense to post twice :lol2:

just pick jane and be done with it!

kim
February 10th, 2005, 03:31 PM

having met paul i'd say yes, he does take the pipe now and then :rotflmao:
I'll second that. :lol2:

Anyway, I've told you before that I love Grace! It's a beautiful name. I think it sounds fine with your name. :)

But I also really like Nicole and Jane too. Gee.. big help huh?

Nichole
February 10th, 2005, 04:06 PM
 That's what happens when your initials spell PEE. :lol2:

I agree that Sara Elisabeth feels a little awkward. I like Sara Kate and Sara Grace and Sara Jane is nice, too. I think that a one syllable mn flows better with a two syllable first and last name, but that may just be me. :dunno:

I REALLY like Sara Kate with Sara Grace as a close second.

I voted for Sara Kate (and broke the 3 way tie  ) but I like all of them. Nicole would be my last pic although I think they are all really pretty :)

Trish

Sara Kate is my favorite, then Sara Jane.
BETH?!?! No Paul!! :colfish:

I like Sara Nicole. Sara Kate reminds me of the Olsen twins (someone else said that, I know). I also like Sara Grace. Sara Jane reminds me of Mary Jane, that might fit since you are named after a boot that your girl's name sounds a little like a style of shoe  Or it could be like Mary Jane, the stuff Paul smokes  I don't like Sara Elisabeth AT ALL.

If you pick one of the names I bashed I will edit this post and say I love it

Nocona is a boot?? Huh. I didn't vote because I like them all. Sorry. :)

Nocona
February 28th, 2005, 12:18 PM
Yes, it's a boot www.nocona.com (http://www.nocona.com) Please don't be jealous

I told him yesterday that we have to pick a MN pronto!!! He likes Sara Marie and Sara Lynn (notice they aren't on my list!) :dead: If I could make up my mind I'd just tell him what her name will be and end the discussion

He said Kate reminded him of the Olsen twins too  I don't remember what he said about Jane and he said Nicole was ok.

Brooke
February 28th, 2005, 12:21 PM
I changed my mind. I think you should go with Nicole.

He likes Sara Marie and Sara Lynn (notice they aren't on my list!) :dead:
Ok - Sara Lynn is one of the Little People characters :lol2: And well, they are both very 70's middle names. And so generic. :dead:

Theresa

I voted for Sara Nicole. Sara Elisabeth was a close second. I just don't like how Sara sounds with a one syllable NN. Sara Marie is nice, though, too. :)

Mandi
February 28th, 2005, 08:14 PM
Gee, all the downing on Marie... :( That's Micayla's MN.

Anyway, I like Marie (obviously) and Lynn.. but that's Jess's MN so that's why. But I still think my number 1 choice is Grace. Nicole is nice too.

I think it's funny you're so rushed to pick a MN. I haven't even given much thought on baby boy G's first name, let alone his middle.

If you pick her MN then maybe that'll motivate me to pick our guy's name. ;)

gulp!
February 28th, 2005, 09:58 PM
Ok - Sara Lynn is one of the Little People characters :lol2: And well, they are both very 70's middle names. And so generic. :dead:

 My best friend (who is 33) is named Sara Lynn.

I'm a fan of Elisabeth. That's Lauryn's middle name- also spelled with an
"s".

I voted for Sara Grace. My #2 choice would be Sara Nicole.

Trish

Marie is my middle name, too :supergrin Pick that one ;)
